OUTRAGEOUS: Clyburn refuses to condemn racist remark, says he doesn’t know if Clarence Thomas is ‘Uncle Tom’

After years and years of accusing Republicans of hating Obama because he’s black, Clyburn now refuses to condemn his colleague Rep. Bennie Thompson’s remarks referring to Clarence Thomas as an ‘Uncle Tom’, because he says ‘all of us have ways of expressing our disappointments’.

When asked if he believes Clarence Thomas is an ‘Uncle Tom’, he says “I don’t know”.

Per the Urban Dictionary, the term ‘Uncle Tom’ means “A black man who will do anything to stay in good standing with “the white man” including betray his own people.”

According to Wikipedia it also means “any person perceived to be a participant in the oppression of their own group.”

Just as Morning Joe suggests, Clarence Thomas simply has a different philosophy of government than does Thompson or Clyburn, and yet he’s castigated as a betrayer of his own race by these black congressmen.

This is simply outrageous behavior and these men should be held accountable for such offensive words. And every Democrat should have to answer for this, just as Republicans are always made to answer for their colleagues.

The only thing I would do with that book would be to wipe my *ss with the pages when I take an Obama.

  • Kaye Griffin High

Gee, I guess what Clyburn is saying is that Clarence Thomas shouldn’t be there to preserve and protect the Constitution – he should base his decisions on what’s good for a certain group of people based on the color of their skin.

    • bongobear

      That’s exactly what he’s implying.

  • badbadlibs

Clyburn and Thompson are racists to the core. Clarence Thomas is so far superior in intellect and accomplishment as to make those two clowns appear even more cartoonish.

    • Gary Dickson

Absolutely agreed, bbl. As far as I am concerned, Clarence Thomas is a truly brilliant man.

When you’re filled with hatred because of something you believe you’re not going to see the hatred in the next guy who believes the same thing.

  • BearNJ

Well we DO KNOW Clyburn is ignorant.

  • Taurnil Oronar

Hmmm, for some strange reason, a couple of cooking utensils and the color black dominates my brain cells.

  • Sentinel

I guess you can’t be a racist if you’re black or a Demoncrap. These racist morons are beyond disgusting.

  • DakConserve

The last gasp of the racist progressive hustlers….

    • timerunnersc

It’s possible he is on his way out the door. His district has been redistricted so next election it’s more than likely goodby Charlie for Mr Clyburn.

    What is outrageous is this;
black’s still using the race card at every
chance they can get for the notoriety.

    In this particular case:
Please, help me MSNBC push my book.

    Does anybody watch MSNBC?

I wonder if Uncle Tom-Clarence took some cliff
notes on his x-friend Clyburn. During this interview!

Democrats are disgusting! This is the party
that started the KKK. Racism is alive and well,
if you are black. I see it day in and day out in America!

  • This is coming from a guy that named his child after a slice of beef.

There is a saying that you can’t fix stupid.

But in this case stupid simply does not apply. What does apply is that America is diseased. And the bigots and the intellectual sellouts like Clyburn and Cummings and Sheila Jackson Lee and the whole infested Democrat Party nest prove it. No need for intellect when they chow down on the hatreds of identity and class warfare and the orthodoxies of leftist politics.

And to prove there is no need for intellect, Clyburn doesn’t need to make his own judgement of Clarence Thomas’ words or actions. Instead Clyburn falls back on hearsay, something from what someone else has said: “I talked to someone yesterday who told me they were highly insulted by some of the expressions of what Clarence Thomas has made in his writings.” Well! That proves it! No need for further evidence than that. His friend Benny says so, and that’s good ‘nuf for him..

    Lynch em boyz!

  • friskyness

it sounds like Clyburn and Thompson are the “Uncle Toms”….

  • Crassus

I guess James Clyburn is the latest Barnyard Pimp of the Day. I’m sick of barnyard pimps. Just looking at Clyburn’s face makes me want to puke.

  • S9

So hypothetically if I were to us the “n” word towards Mr Clyburn, would this just simply be another one of those “ways people express their disappointment” in him?

How well do you suppose that would go over? Do people even THINK before they speak anymore?

OH….and he’s BANNED FOR LIFE for defending Thompson’s comments.

  • tinlizzieowner

    Oh well, another plantation Negro.
    Next topic.

Well I know this, Congressman, you belong to the party of Jim Crow, the party that elected and kept a KKK member (Grand Wizard (sen.)Bryd) and many others. You sir should do some soul searching.

  • Next time someone tells me they shouted epithets at this great, lion of the Civil Rights era (who owes the passage of same to Republicans), I’ll be sure to care.

Just as soon as the second Mars expedition returns.

  • The irony is that Rep Clyburn, along with every other black Democrat is a so called “Uncle Tom”..

What Rep Clyburn, Bennie Thompson, and the rest of the Black Democrat CBC in Congress says and does by falsely accusing Conservative Blacks as being “Uncle Toms”, ie; beholding to, and supporting their former plantation slavemasters and their political party, whom were the Confederate Democrats, are the actual “Uncle Toms”, aka hypocrites and liars.. lol Amazing..

That’s called projectionism, accusing others of what they themselves are guilty of, irrespective of, and or regardless the fact that they might actually be consciously or unconsciously ignorant of this U.S. historical fact to and of this specific issue.

But to them, never let the truth get in the way of their political ideological loyalty to a lie, to their former enslavers, let alone their betrayal to the Republican Party of Lincoln, who actually fought to Free their ancestor slaves. Ignorance is the keystone to indoctrination and political loyalty.
