Palestinian terrorist shoots two Israelis at POINT BLANK RANGE near Jerusalem; Hamas CELEBRATES

Islam strikes again, this time just north of Jerusalem where a terrorist pretending to be someone needing help shot two Israelis at point blank range, killing one and wounding the other:

ARUTZ SHEVA – One person has been killed and another wounded, in a shooting attack close to the town of Dolev in the Binyamin region, north of Jerusalem.

Paramedics and a large team of IDF security forces – including at least one military helicopter – arrived at the scene after responding to reports that terrorists had opened fire on an Israeli vehicle at 4:15 p.m. Friday afternoon.

The fatally shot victim has been identified as a 25-year-old resident of central Israel. He was initially evacuated by helicopter from the scene and transferred to Tel Hashomer hospital unconscious and in critical condition, but succumbed to his injuries shortly afterwards.

The second victim was evacuated by ambulance to Tel Hashomer, with gunshot wounds to his limbs; his condition is light-to-moderate condition.

According investigators, the two victims were finishing a trip to a nearby spring and had begun leaving when a Palestinian standing at the side of the road waved them down, apparently asking for help.

As soon as the Israelis’ car pulled up he asked them for water, and then shot them at point-blank range and fled the scene.

MK Motti Yogev (Jewish Home), a resident of Dolev and Colonel in the IDF reserves, arrived at the site of the attack shortly after to help emergency services evacuate the victims and secure the area. His son Yosef captured the scene, pictured below.

Here’s more:

The man who was killed in Friday’s shooting attack near the town of Dolev in the Binyamin region has been named as 25-year-old Danny Gonen from the city of Lod.

Gonen’s friend was wounded in the attack and is hospitalized at the Tel Hashomer Hospital in light to moderate condition.

Gonen’s uncle, speaking to the Walla! news website on Friday, said that Danny and his friend had been shot during a hike in the area, something they had done often.

“Danny was visiting the area with a friend, as he always did. He liked to hike everywhere in Israel,” said the uncle.

“Danny was the best boy in the world,” he added. “He was an electrical engineering student who loved to hike a lot. He was the eldest son and is survived by his mother and four brothers.”

Netanyahu responds to the attack, vowing to find the Islamo-Nazi who did this:

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Friday evening responded to the shooting attack near the town of Dolev in the Binyamin region, vowing that Israel will find the terrorist responsible.

“The signs on the ground indicate that the shooting incident today near the community of Dolev was a terrorist attack. We are working to identify whoever carried out the attack,” Netanyahu said.

“We should not let the relative quiet deceive us,” he warned, adding, “The efforts to attack us continue constantly, just as we are operating constantly to prevent attacks with all the tools at our disposal.”

Meanwhile:

The Hamas terrorist group on Friday welcomed the shooting attack near the town of Dolev in the Binyamin region, in which 25-year-old Danny Gonen was murdered and another man was wounded.

“We welcome the unique and heroic operation that took place near Ramallah,” said Hamas spokesman Husam Badran. “We, and with us all our people, view with the utmost respect and appreciation those pure hands who held on to the resistance and turned their fire toward the occupier.”

“Israel and its supporters delude themselves if they think the crimes against our people will continue without a response from the resistance,” he added.
