Palestinians to Tillerson: No we’re not cutting our terror funding…

Earlier this week I saw that Tillerson claimed that the Palestinians were cutting out their terror payments. But it turns out that’s just FAKE NEWS from Tillerson:

FREE BEACON – The secretary of state claimed on Tuesday that the Palestinian government had given him assurances that it was no longer providing aid to terrorists and their families, a statement that raised confusion in the region and prompted pushback.

Palestinians were quick to say they aren’t going to stop the funding:

Palestinian officials were quick to contradict Tillerson on the issue, telling news outlets that the payments would never be fully halted.

“There have been talks about making the payments in a different way, but not ending them,” one Palestinian official was quoted as telling Reuters. “They could perhaps be labeled differently,” but they “are not going to be stopped.”

In April Trump proposed a budgetary increase in taxpayer funds going to the Palestinians even though they propose cutting all other foreign aid funds. Despite the insistence of the Palestinians to make these terror payments, there hasn’t been any indication that Trump will walk back the increase yet.

Hopefully he will do so very soon, but given his strong desire to negotiate ‘peace’ with the Palestinians and Israel, I won’t be surprised if it doesn’t happen.

What Congress should do is kill all funding to the Palestinians, period. According to Free Beacon, the Taylor Act would do just that – at least until the Palestinians stop the terror payments – and Congress is considering it.
