PETA Wants Memorial Erected To Chickens Lost In Traffic Accident

Proposed memorial would honor the chicken casualties and encourage veganism.

At the end of January, a truck overturned in Georgia, killing dozens of defenseless truck chickens. In light of this senseless waste of food life, PETA activists have filed to have a memorial built on the side of the highway. Because NEVER. FORGET. There is no word yet on whether there will be a moment of Kentucky Fried silence in honor of the fallen.

Expect not only outpourings of grief, but also outbursts of bickering as neglected and ignored farm animal deaths from around the state find new advocates looking to square up. Who can forget the great ducktastrophes in Naples and Calgargy? And of course, the poor ex-parrot who was definitely not pining for the fjords.

Personally, I understand the impulse. I never forget to honor Space Bat Memorial Day.
