Peters isn’t arguing whether allowing a terrorist state to form is legal grounds for impeachment, but he certainly considers it dereliction of duty as it puts both US interests and the US in danger. And he reiterates that we knew all along that this buildup was happening with ISIS and they were coming across the border, yet Obama wouldn’t accept the intelligence briefs and he wouldn’t do anything about it.
Peters argues that airstrikes won’t completely stop ISIS, but it can impair them or disable them and he says that’s exactly what we should be doing right now.
