Red Meat: Michelle Malkin torches Sally Kohn for her phony civility

Michelle Malkin went on Sean Hannity’s radio show today and did battle with progressive Sally Kohn over her phony civility article attacking Malkin for incivility. Let’s suffice it to say that Kohn was no match for Malkin who exposed Kohn’s phony civility as bully tactics to try and silence conservatives who are calling out the left for their actual incivility. In fact, when pushed by Hannity to address Obama’s incivility (republicans wanting dirty air and water for people) and hypocrisy on the matter, Kohn kept trying to change the subject and eventually just referred to it as politics. Talk about hypocrisy.

Michelle Malkin is my hero! Way to put the liberal skum in her place!

    • I’d listen, but I can’t stand Hannity. I’m sure Ms. Malkin acquitted herself quite well.

    • Rightstuff1

I love Michelle Malkin – my gosh – a Conservative Wonder Woman !!!!

  • Another dime-a-dozen sophist getting laid to waste.

  • Amy

Listened live – I love Michelle. Sally Kohn just posted a piece on her blog in answer to Michelle & Sean. Honestly, she missed the whole point Michelle was making.

We on the right are tired of being lectured about civility while being called b***ch, c***, terrorist, hostage taker, tea bagger, wing nut, radical extremist, etc. They can call us all the names they want – because I believe in the 1st Amendment – just don’t lecture us when we call the President a socialist while wink winking about Bill Maher calling Sarah Palin the c word.

Edited to add that I couldn’t even log into Sally’s site after Michelle gave out the website address – traffic was too heavy. The comments so far to her rebuttal are a majority telling her that she doesn’t get it. Mine included…

    • marketcomp

      Michelle was awesomw, as usual!

      • sno_warrior

She take no hostages…kinda like someone else we know!

    • Captain_Maynard

You’re right that Kohn doesn’t get it. Her arrogance won’t let her. You can only listen to the clip posted by TRS but somehow you can smell her arrogance from it. Reeks to high heavens!

      • audieho

That’s the stench of OWS. It takes a few months and many baths. Hasn’t been quite long enough for Sally.

    • audieho

Right on! Most of them don’t get it, but more importantly, far too many on the right don’t get it either, and simply dismiss it. It’s time to start standing up.

    • Is_Sense_Common

      Beautifully stated. Bingo!

  • Galatiansch2vs20

A quote from Sally’s article cited above:

“Most of us try our best to obey the rules of the road — no name calling, no personal attacks, no lies or even intentional distortions.”

Oh, how I wish that lie was true!

  • Captain_Maynard

Brilliant. Just brilliant! Gotta love Malkin.

And this Kohn woman, feigning remorse?? At 12: 03 onward, she says: ‘If you felt that I crossed the line then I’m sorry.” What kind of BS apology is that?

That is like me walking up to a hobo, slashing his lifelong companion’s throat, that being his trusty golden retriever, then running off with his bowl of coins; Then I come back saying “Hey. Look dude, if you FEEL I’ve crossed the line here, then I’m sorry.” Da F&@^ you’re right you’ve crossed the line bizatch!!

Never heard of Kohnn before today but Michelle is right. She’s a coward. Brilliant refereeing from Hannity too.

    • BeautifulAmerica

True. Hannity did a great job.

  • Fireplug52

Wow!!! I have always admired Michelle Malkin, but this exchange with Sally Kohn has taken it to a higher level. Michelle Malkin stayed on point and refuted everything that Sally Kohn had to say. At no time did Sally Kohn present evidence to the contrary. I think Sally Kohn knows she had her butt handed to her.

  • stage9

Last week we discussed the chic from the IDF who practiced Krav Maga, but we have something that the Israelis don’t have — we have a Michelle Malkin.

  • This Michelle is the conservative belle. She is everything that is good about America. This beautiful and articulate Asian American is what America is all about. She is proud to call herself an American, unlike the other Michelle who felt otherwise.

    • Paceride

We get it, she’s pretty and a petite Asian, so the guys like her.

      • K-Bob

Lefties love style over substance. That’s why they can’t conceive of an intelligent, pretty “asian.”

      • K-Bob

Lefties love style over substance. That’s why they can’t conceive of an intelligent, pretty “asian.”

  • Oh boy! I love this. Did you hear Sally call her Shelly? This woman, Sally, is just in big trouble as are other liberals!

  • My Lord I LOVE Michelle. She has brass ones!!

  • Just accept the apology Michelle. Because if you don’t you become them!

    • Galatiansch2vs20

If it’s the apology Maynard posted, it seems to me Sally was not expressing remorse for anything she did. Rather, she’s sorry only if Malkin felt something was true. Reworded possible interpretation (emphasis added): I’m sorry IF Y-O-U FELT I crossed that line. No admission of personal guilt, no apology to be accepted.

    • Nukeman60

I agree with Malkin. Don’t accept the apology because it was not sincere. If she were sincerely sorry, she never would have written the article in the first place. The left does this all the time. They write some piece of garbage and then if anybody calls them out for it, they say, ‘Oh, I’m sorry if you took it that way’. BULL.

    • lilium479

You cannot accept an apology that isn’t meant…….you become the fool.

  • Judefour

Jesse’s wife is an expert at vindictiveness. It’s a dangerous sign to refuse reconciliation, especially when coming from a professor of christianity. Jesus commanded His followers to “love your enemy” in a way that will pass the scrutiny of the all seeing God. This is a good example of the dangerous and fatal mixture of politics and the religion of Jesus Christ.

    • It’s more dangerous to be stupid. There was no reconciliation. She said “if she …” fill-in-the-blank. That’s not an apology. It’s a fake-out and is a well known tactic by liberals.

      • Judefour

        But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
        (Mat 5:44)

Call these words whatever you choose, but they are the Words of the blessed Jesus, and one word from Him is final and immovable. Mrs Malkin does not believe this command is applicable to the exchange she had with the other woman, but it is nonetheless. You made my point; the commandments of God are ‘optional’ within the arena of political discourse, according to the apostate religion of the corporate “church” in the U.S.

        • AllantheK

Speaking the truth in love… what is your problem with truth? She didn’t sound like she was attacking, rather exposing.

          • Judefour

The ‘truth’ is always in reference to eternity. Neither of the women in the audio clip were concerned with eternal truth. Both were simply excercising their ‘sharp tongues’ for the entertainment of their respective supporters, who incessantly flatter them onward.

        • Nukeman60

I’m sure glad you’re not Secretary of State. Iran would play you like a cheap fiddle. Just using Bible quotes to say let the other side get away with whatever they want is both naive and irresponsible.

          • Judefour

            Apples & Oranges friend.

            • Nukeman60

No. No it’s not. See badbadlibs’ comment above. I agree with her completely.

              • Judefour

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. (Joh 7:24)

Jesus made this declaration in reference to being accused of violating the sabbath day of rest, for doing good, (healing a man completely). The Pharisees saw the act of mercy, as a violation of their ‘law’, which was a perfect example of an unrighteous judgment.

Paul said “the spiritual man judgeth all things, but he himslef is judged by no man.”

                To apply the principle of the above texts, to a partisan political broil, where hurling accusations are used to ensure a victory, is outrageous. The righteous judgment that Jesus speaks of, is consistent with the principle of love, described in 1 Cor 13. The love there spoken of, is one that “thinketh no evil.” It would also be consistent with the kind of speech that the saints are commanded to maintain;

Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. (Col 4:6)

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. (Eph 4:29)

Neither Jesus, the apostles, nor any of the true saints, would speak evil of civil authority, but simply state the facts in regard to biblical truth. All speaking was done with the salvation of ones soul in mind. I am sure that Ms/Mrs Kohn left with no thought whatsoever of her need to prepare for judgment, after the verbal “torching” she supposedly received from her outspoken adversary.

        • badbadlibs

I don’t think you understand the whole councel of God, please read about using righteous judgement. Jesus never said we were to become doormats and allow others to take advantage.
We’re to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. That’s quite a word picture Jesus painted. M. Malkin was standing her ground against an attack right out of the pit of hell, because, sir that is exactly the side the left stands on and promotes.
Good for her, may she continue to stand up to the face of evil, no matter how sweetly it lies.

          • Judefour

If one tortures the scriptures in the manner you have, we can make them support anything we choose. The whole counsel of God does not in any way, advocate or support political broils and strife. The apostles were examples of the disposition that Jesus commanded of His followers, and not one ill spoken word was uttered against any of the Ceasar’s, including Nero. The lived for the kingdom that is not of this world. ‘Religio-politicists’ need, and thrive on having philosophical ememies, which justifies any form of corrupt communication they judge to be acceptable. It’s a ‘mutual admiration society’ that lives by it’s own rules. To allege that Jesus doctrine is a means of political victories is an absurdity. Jesus said that the saints must “love their enemies”, which is partially defined by Jesus words; “bless them that curse you.”
No such love as this is found in the current topic of discussion.

You can twist the Holy Scriptures any way you desire. It will be God Almighty you have to face come judgement day. That is a fact. I’ve listened to your twists on many posts and I find it sad that you seem to use the Bible to your own ends and not to God’s. Just my opinion and we all answer only to Him. You have your way, we have ours. God will be the judge.

              • Judefour

                I have not encouraged or condoned anyone committing sin in the name of a false grace. That is the biblical definition of ‘twisting’ the scriptures to ones own destruction. The apostle Peter reveals it to be the “error of the wicked” (lawless). I oppose any opinion of scripture that does not insist upon true godliness as the fruit of true grace. We are in agreement about the judgment, as long as your standard is in agreement with Jesus own declaration;

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. (Mat 7:24-27)

I cannot concede to any form of religion that opposes what Jesus and the apostles taught. The scriptures are of “no private interpretation”. Western “christianity” needs to repent of thier opinions.

  • d1carter

Sally Kohn is an arrogant lightweight. She doesn’t deserve any attention other than scorn.

  • marketcomp

Man, you have got to love Michelle! I am so glad she is on the Rightside!

  • Sober_Thinking

Once again, don’t give these idiots a forum to spew their ignorance.

Michelle Malkin kicks butt and takes names… I put her in the top 10 of conservative superheroes – in the same company of Rush Limbaugh, Bill Whittle and others. She rocks.

  • Sally doesn’t realize that falsely attacking someone for vindictiveness is itself vindictiveness. The entire time I was listening to the clip, I was telling myself how strong the irony was.

  • Michelle Malkin torches Sally Kohn for her phony civility » The Right Scoop –

  • toongoon

Holder is much better at redirection than this mouthpiece.

Good job Michelle, don’t accept arrogant apologies, stay in the fight and don’t be sidetracked by BS. The apology meant nothing since Kohn wouldn’t acknowledge any of the leftist attacks which are worse than the rights tenfold.

    • destroyer_of_moonbats

      sally is useless.

      • toongoon

She is good for between one and ten votes for “the dOne”. Not to mention her simple minded followers.

    • Is_Sense_Common

Can you imagine her questioning Eric Holder over Fast & Furious?!?

      • toongoon

That would be good, but I would like to see Chuck Norris standing behind Holder to give him a nudge once in a while when he starts rambling and answering questions that he wasn’t asked.

        • Is_Sense_Common

Probably need some super sized Pampers available too!

  • triplexman

When I was listening, I was like, “holy crap! She’s getting down on that lib!” brava Michelle! Opportunities like that don’t happen often!

  • jackl92

That was a beat down, good job Michelle.

  • carltonwest

Michelle Malkin rocks! She is brave & brilliant.

  • MaroonRepublic

When the right fights back, they play the civility card. Way to go Michelle.

They knife you under the table and when you jump up and punch them in the nose they call you a bully and try to take the moral high road…

  • tinker_thinker

Oh wow! That was great! Sally had that poor pitiful Pearl voice at the end. Ha!

  • Joan Canning

This was the best verbal whipping I’ve ever heard. Michelle nailed it. It’s phony civility and nauseating and needs to be exposed fearlessly.

  • Terry in GA

Whoa, I guess Michelle took Sally Kohn to the woodshed, so to speak. Way to hold her feet to the fire, Michelle.

  • Michelle Malkin is a great American!

  • Nukeman60

Do liberals get together every morning in a conference call to divide themselves up into two groups? One group will call out for ‘civil conversation’ about the right’s mild language while the other group puts together scathing attacks about those same conservative people. They use this two-group policy to say that ‘they’ don’t do it on the left and totally ignore their own crap.

Kohn makes a difference between political attacks and personal attacks when the attack is the very same. In other words, if a Conservative says something, anything, it’s a personal attack. If a liberal says something, it’s merely a political attack and acceptable.

What a piece of work. I can’t believe Fox even hired this liberal hack.

    Oh, was that personal?

    • toongoon

That’s the left; On this side the attackers, and on that side the whiners.

      • Nukeman60

Yep, and it isn’t that they aren’t aware of each other. They set it up that way as a gameplan.

        • toongoon

At the end of the day they all come together for cocktails and laugh at the destruction they’ve caused. Pretty soon they’ll start having dessert with their drinks, humble pie.

          • Nukeman60

That’s one of the reasons it’s hard to get any video or audio of private liberal get-togethers. They don’t want us to know that they despise us and trash us every chance they get. I remember Obama’s little speech, that was supposed to be private, about how we ‘rubes’ in flyover country ‘cling to our Bibles and guns’. It was ‘for your ears only’ as it were, and he must have been fast and furious about it when it came into the sunlight.

  • c4pfan

Love Malkin, but I’m not listening to this one.

  • WordsFailMe

Facts seem to just annoy and irritate the left. I can see why they try to avoid them. They love a right up to the time when the other guy arrives.

    [email protected]

  • I LOVE MICHELLE MALKIN!!!!!! I am so glad she has completely taken off any gloves that she might have had on before and just completely and utterly obliterates these progressive commies.

  • 911Infidel

I can’t stand Hannity. He plays the moral equivalence game himself when discussing Islam. He hasn’t a clue on the topic. Malkin obviously bested her inferior. That’s as it should be. There is no reason to believe that any sort of compromise or civility will work with progressive commies anymore. Hold them to their own low standards. Call them out and defeat them at every opportunity…Use their own Alinsky tactics against them. Hit em high, hit em low…no surrender. This is a political war that they have declared against us. Their political policy is all-out war. Our policy should be a scorched earth policy against them until their unconditional surrender, not ours.

    • WordsFailMe

Attack, attack and attack and if you even think you’ve found a weak spot, attack with a vicious rage and extreme indignation! Do not let them rest.

Was it GreenBeret or MiketheMarine who recounted an admonition from a mentor which ran something like:

“If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, you’re doing something wrong.”

      • 911Infidel

Spot on man…especially that last line…

    • Paceride

Progressive commies, hit em high, hit em low… LOL how civil.

      • 911Infidel

Just following the President’s “Latino” speech advise to “punish our enemies and to reward our friends”.

Thank you Michelle! My mom always told me that the best of both worlds is having beauty and brains!!! Susan B. Anthony lives!

  • Is_Sense_Common

Friggin “intellectuals.” They just don’t have the ability to debate real life situations. They only can live in a world of the hypothetical and “on paper.” Real life is never like it is on paper. If you’ve ever planned an event, launched a product, created a job – whatever – you can write down your action-plan and how it’s all supposed to play out, but the big hairy secret is that it NEVER turns out exactly like it does on paper.

That’s how she wanted this argument to play out. She had her little talking points down on her little paper and then when Michelle brought up her side of the debate and actually had the audacity to call Sally out on her own sanctimony, Sally had nothing to say except to go back to her little outline, which brought no relevant or cohesive thought to the conversation. That’s where friggin’ intellectuals live – on paper. That’s why they stay in school forever. They have no risk of actually having to make decisions that have any impact on the bottom line. No risk = no failure = always right.

(sorry if this seems off-topic. in my head it’s all related…)

    • rook51

Sally is the only one , that thinks of herself as an intellectual . the rest of us know better . (:

  • MPK12

    Michelle…. 1

    Sally …. O

btw…..I heard Soros demanded Fox fire Beck and hire this Sally person and Jehmu Greene…is there anything that old fart doesn’t control ? …….. don’t watch Fox anymore…unless Michelle or Sarah Palin are on.-:)

  • Rush_Fan

It’s difficult to argue or even have a discussion with a liberal, such as Kohn, as they are masters of obfuscation and dishonesty. Michelle Malkin does as good a job as anyone in handling Leftist liars. With her intelligence and communication skills, I don’t understand why she doesn’t have her own program on Fox News. Michelle was terrific when she substituted for Ted Baxter (O’Reilly). and

  • rook51

Sally is SO! SO ! condecending. Makes me literally sick to my stomach!

  • rook51

People like Sally are the reason we have wars, they don’t listen and won’t listen . Cezar and his czar’s have only one agenda , and that’s to take this Country down . People like Sally are to ignorant to see the truth . I’m poor but I ain’t stupid . There are no jobs , grocery stores are closing one after the other, we make 5percent of the clothes we wear.Poor people can’t find a used car, because Obama had them crushed. We don’t have jobs so we don’t need a car. Look at what’s happened in three years. Taking crops making green fuel. Telling restruants what food to serve. We Have to stand up and VOTE the man OUT!!!

  • dontdrinkthecoolaid

What a pathetic exchange between someone of truth (Michelle Malkin) and a brain dead liberal.

  • RightSightings

Michelle was in a zone, it was a thing of pure beauty. I loved how when confronted with simple direct questions from Malkin, her response was to stutter and stammer like Jay Carney at a press conference. Another classic example of how when you confront the left with facts, they respond with nothing but spin tactics.

    • Michelle Malkin is the best! I’m so happy to hear that she took Kohn to the woodshed. Kohn met he match, actually Michelle is too smart to ever consider Kohn as an equal. Kohn, is so annoying with her smirks and head shaking when others are speaking. I wonder why Fox added the latest commentators to their staff. Kohn, Jackson’s daughter, and Jehmu Greene all are so biased, they are difficult to watch.I know the station bills themselves as fair and balanced, but if true, why did they did they let their biggest draw— Glen Beck leave? He is missed and is owed a debt of gratitude for waking up Americans with the truth. Fox lost out, and so did its viewers.

  • RightSightings

Malkin was in a total zone during this segment. It was a thing of beauty! Another classic example of when you confront the left with facts, all they do is stutter and stammer like Jay Carney at a WH Press Conference.

  • rockytony

Who the hell is Sally Kohn other than one who echoes the Democratic talking points? What has she accomplished that established a resume for any of us to ever consider believing what she says?

    • wodiej

she’s that short haired blonde that shows up on Fox commentary sometimes.

      • kong1967

Geez. I had no idea who she was until I did an image search. Oh, yeah…I know who she is.

Who is she to be talking? I can’t stand watching her and she needs to look in the freaking mirror.

      • rockytony

You can’t be speaking of Gretchen Carlson as she is a gutsy lady who speaks her mind…intelligently. You can’t mean Marilyn Monroe because she is an icon and loves men. I know, you must be speaking of Harpo Marx.

  • lainer51

Michelle for President!!!!!!!!!! let me be clear – Michelle MALKIN, not just any Michelle

  • lainer51

    Who is Sally Kohn?

  • CrashFroelich

Diversity means people of all faiths, creeds, colors, and ethnicities witlessly mouthing the same progressive slogans in unison. Racism means a white person has accurately called out the lies of a non-white liberal. Free speech means you state any opinion you want as long as it isn’t offensive to liberals. Bipartisanship means Republicans pick up the soap when Democrats drop it. Civility means quit telling embarrassing truths about liberals.

    • rook51

I really really enjoyed , True ! True ! Thank You ! you made my day. Hopefully Michelle , had a good day to.

  • BeautifulAmerica

Wow! Wow! Wow! Michelle, you are a superb orator and debater, and, as you say, you back it all up with facts. That takes intelligence and enormous courage because leftists like little sally here, are condescending and act morally superior. You call it like it is.
Outstanding, and great example to all of us who are cowed by these leftists.
    Thank you!

  • aZjimbo

This is exactly why I have been reading and listening to MM for years. She takes no crap from these low life liberals. Go get’em Michelle.

  • Benjamin Hardie

I know this won’t be appreciated but I feel you should hear – people gravitate towards the adult in the room. Their tone was such you don’t even need to understand English to understand that Michelle was behaving like a child and Sally an adult. I know it FEELS good to spew emotion towards someone you’ve convinced yourself is an enemy, but you have to think outside yourself. What does a third party see? The right wing does not do itself any favors (especially with this upcoming generation) by having so many angry people. A few can be ignored in any movement but this has gone far beyond a few examples. I’m sure it feels great in the short term but in the long term this is going to hurt the conservative cause. I know I’m not addressing the actual arguments because it’s almost beside the point at this juncture.

  • oy damn these thumbs

  • rook51

You sure you’er not Sally or at least her twin sister ? I’m a Hillbilly ,from a Holler in ky , and lady , I’m not insulting you by calling you lady am I ? That condecending better than tho Bull ! might work on Castro’s daughter but I don’t live in Cuba , I don’t have to rub Vasaline on my teeth before I speak !
