This clip is amazing for a couple of reasons. First, Crowley is saying now she didn’t backtrack last night. Yet in this very clip where she says she didn’t backtrack, she says this:

Now, did the president say this was an act of terror? The president did not say “these acts of terror.” But he was in the Rose Garden to talk about Benghazi so I don’t think that’s a leap, sorry.

Seriously? She admits that he didn’t say specifically that Benghazi was an act of terror but because the purpose of the gathering in the Rose Garden was about Benghazi, then what he said must’ve been about Benghazi. But he also brought up 9/11 too in that speech in the paragraph right before that statement. And to be specific he sad “No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.” If he’s labeling Benghazi an act of terror, that’s a pretty dang passive way to do it. And let’s not forget the following two weeks in which Obama denied it was a pre-planned terrorist attack, which was Romney’s point to begin with.

Secondly, Chaffetz confronted Crowley to her face and told her (as a gentlemen) that she not only got it wrong last night but that it wasn’t her place to fact check during the debate.

    Candy’s scrambling.

    Soledud is an idiot.

    Chffetz is too nice.

    • http://www.NavyGentleman.com/ Red47

I agree. except Soledad is not only an idiot, she is a fawning, toadying idiot.

      • Sober_Thinking

Soledad is a waste of time… she is not honest or factual. She is among the biggest shills for Obama and has no business being on a national news (cough) network. She’s a fraud and needs toilet paper for all the crap coming out of her mouth.

        • notebene

Soledad is an affirmative-action propaganda pusher, not a journalist.

          • Orangeone

            Yet another AA failure.

        • WordsFailMe

Sullied-dad is another of those liberal females who believes that she can and must control not only the conversation and its content but the thoughts of the people involved. I swear the entire liberal movement is people with those whose maturity ceased at the age of fourteen.

We should have 25 liberals write essay on freedom and liberty and compare them to the essays of 25 8th graders on the same topic!

          • Orangeone

Be careful what you wish for. Those 8th graders have already been indoctrinated with the liberal kool-aid.

          • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Compare them to our homeschool group’s 6th and 7th graders- they’d mop the floor with the libs!

            • Conservative_Hippie

              I’d pay to watch that!

Yup and the lesbians.  That lifestyle is not permissible under Sharia law.  No wonder why O’Bambi wants “gay marriage”, there will be marriage licenses available with sufficient identifying details.

Good points, Ms Baldwin. Everyone knew that Crawley couldn’t conceal her obvious bias and bigotry and she performed exactly as expected. Soledad is just a babbling fool who is nothing but an Obama sycophant. Candy and Soledad are perfect examples why no one watches CNN (communist news network) for their news content.

    • Conservative_Hippie

      Nice and to the point!

  • 2besusie

Duh. If you want to move things along, just say “let’s move things along”. You were the flippin moderator, not the fact checker.

I hate to tell you Candy, but the debate would have been better served without you inserting yourself into it. You’re not running for office!

    • E. Lee Zimmerman

Boom! There it is! Well said.

Candy started wrong out of the gate, figuring she would ask her own versions of the questions, and therein lies the problem: she WASN’T a moderator.

    • http://www.facebook.com/carla.castronova Carla Castronova

she was looking for her 15 minutes of fame

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002166668687 Ali Goria

Crowley interrupted Romney 28 times to Obama: 9. Crowley did not just magically remember that word “terror” which came after his discussing Sept 11, 2001. Axelrod gave it to her that morning. She said so. And in what universe does that mitigate the lies and denials that were in place from 9-11-2012 for weeks after?? Corrupt media. OH, and Planed Parenthood does not do mammograms. And Obama pays his female staff less than male., and Romney wanted a GM bankruptcy but Obama did an illegal bankruptcy so unions got paid first… blah blah blah. But Crowley only “kept up” on the Libya minutiae? Right.

    • GreenBeretWay

Obama seemed more concerned with keeping his precious Planned Parenthood employees employed than the American people.

      • E. Lee Zimmerman

And teachers, for Gawd’s sake! How the frak many times did he plead to speak about education? He tried to make gun control a matter of education! And even Libya, for Gawd’s sake!

        • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

After spending yesterday afternoon indoctrinating my homeschool co op class on the founders intent and the importance of the 2nd Amendment, I was about to trash my radio listening to dear leader on that one alone!!!

        • sjmom

He’s not interested in teachers; he’s interested in unions, especially those in the public sector. If teachers were not unionized I doubt he’d think twice about them.

          • E. Lee Zimmerman

Oh, I know that. I’m just shocked that he made it so obvious.

      • sjmom

This is why Obama will lose; he’s only interested in a small percentage of us; his adoring cult followers of which Soledad is one.

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/AJY2ILN24QZAME2ZDKMQJNKBBI Chris

Also, don’t forget Obama got 4 minutes more time to talk (also known as Lie)

I guess maybe she helped Romney out there, by letting Obama talk more so he could make more absurd statements!

    • Sober_Thinking

      Excellent post. :)

    • Orangeone

And it was planned with Michelle Obama who lead the applause. Total set-up.

      • ladyjk

Yes, she surely did not act like a presidential lady.

        • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

          has she ever?

        • ebola131

I think that may have been the second time she was “proud”.
          Nuckledragger

    • ladyjk

Thank God there is this new instant media try to call the liars and the corrupt media accountable. Obama may have talked more, acted nastier, and raised his voice more; but the aftermath will not be good for him as the lies will be exposed.

    • sjmom

Thanks for the Axelrod info. See what happens when you listen to Obama and his people…………..you end up looking the fool.

  • Boris_Badenoff

She’s a liar. She was not not trying to move “this” along, she was trying to back up Obama.
Pathetically weak attempt by crowley to justify her bias..

  • AbdulBX

Chaffetz is WAY too nice. Good grief.

  • http://tinyurl.com/wwsotu Wolfie

Crowley got the “phone call” and suddenly she has a change of heart? How surprising!

Libtards (and I use that word in the most loving and generous manner)… Are what Stalin called his most Useful Idiots!

Why are they useful? Because they swallow the whole BS and regurgitate it! Stalin had their card marked, yet, in spite of history, there are many willing dupes who are only too willing to betray their nation for the “greater good” which is… Whatever their “leader” tells them… Because it’s not about politics… It’s a Cult of Personality! Intelligent people need not apply!

    • Orangeone

I doubt there was a phone call. This was all pre-planned and as “spontaneous” as the Libya murders.

      • colliemum

        Well said, orangeone!

Of course it was pre-planned, down to the ‘spontaneous’ applause by Moochelle, never mind that it was against the rules.

        • Orangeone

Silly, rules are only for conservatives.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/H3FKUGAPVG6CDFYSCJHSAIAZW4 david r

And later Stalin had his most useful idiots killed. Yes…they were useful idots too, and they never knew it until the end!

  • jaybenson

    This is helping Romney.
The MSM isn’t able to hit the airwaves with their “Obama gets knock-out punch” story which he needed for a debate-bounce. Instead they are forced to defend him and themselves by nick picking Libya; which is only going to become a bigger sore spot for the President as people start to read-up on it the more it becomes a “hot item”.

    • http://www.NavyGentleman.com/ Red47

You are right. It is very satisfying to me to see that Preezy may have to answer for some of his actions in the Middle East. It was nitpicking, maybe. You are right, it draws much needed attention to the lie. Yea!

    • Orangeone

They media, yahoo anyway, is hitting the media with the knock-out and saying if this was the 1st debate the election would be over.

    • pdxlady

And with more people paying attention to this matter, because this has become the focus of the debate in the media, people will look into this for themselves.

With a more informed electorate on the truth and cover-up of the Benghazi terror attack it will make it impossible for Barry to lie about this in the next debate, on Monday the 22nd, which is 90 minutes on Foreign Policy.

      Romney wins.

  • http://www.NavyGentleman.com/ Red47

Crowley has a better grasp of the English language than this.
She leapt to Obama’s defense like an good mama and she fell on her face. She may as well say it and get it over with. It was very helpful to Preezy to have Mommy as moderator.

Also, she is stuck on them “getting stuck on” the issue. It isn’t her job to decide if it was “stuck” or a discussion.

    • E. Lee Zimmerman

Uh … evidence that she has a better grasp on the English language? Any? Clearly, in this one exchange, she said BOTH men were right, and that’s factually impossible.

      • http://www.NavyGentleman.com/ Red47

That she is a writer and a respected one, tells me she is spewing spin and knows it. In j-school we called it Propaganda”. She is shilling for Preezy and has destroyed her credibility. Back when I was reporting, this crazy behavior would have finished her career. Today it makes her a useful idiot.

  • Betsey_Ross

My father in law had a perfect retort for this situation. “Often mistaken, but never in doubt.”

  • Landscaper

You screwed up Candy. The job of the “Moderator” is ask the questions and SHUT-UP.

    • Sober_Thinking

      Agreed. :)

  • http://twitter.com/SamLevine1 Sam Levine

Romney for sure won on the most important issues facing this country Deficit/Taxes/HealthCare/Econemy and that’s what matters, I think this debate will help Romney in the long run with independents, and it will help Obama with his base.

    • Orangeone

He was winning that argument until he said the 12 million illegals would remain in the US and those 12 million compete with the 23 million looking for jobs.

      • ebola131

        Not really…
        Support for E-verify is unquestioned.
They will leave when they can’t get hired.

        • Orangeone

See my other note on e-Verify.  e-Verify only tells an employer that the SSN is valid, it does not tell us the employee attached to it is alive, working 5 other jobs, etc.  Hispanics share a valid ID to get work, eVerify won’t stop that and employers will still be persecuted and punished because it is somehow our fault that this fraud is occurring.

    • E. Lee Zimmerman

And foreign policy, so far as this house is concerned …

    • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

From one whose husband has been unemployed for over 3 years, the economy doesn’t matter to me as much as foreign policies do, and the fact that the dear administration is full of treasonous ba$tards.

    • Landscaper

Obama’s understanding of the economy, management and budgets is “foreign” to him. Forget about expecting him to deal with foreign policy.

  • las1

Yeah… I just bet she wanted to “move it along”.

She just admitted that the President was “weak” on Bengazi. Therefore she wanted to move it along. As a typical CNN Democrat human shield, she did her job.

  • rsox1

No, she had no business inserting herself like that. When will these talking heads learn it’s not about them? If Obama wants to refute it, fine…let him. Let the candidates duke it out. But for her to assist the President like that was simply ridiculous. She also refused to let Romney rebut Obama on more than a few occasions, and allowed Obama to suck up more time. Just an awful moderator.

Beyond that, what got lost is the fact the admin, for DAYS, continued to blame it on protests. Even if you stretch the ‘acts of terror’ in his Rose Garden statement to encompass Benghazi, why then was his admin out there telling the American people otherwise? He deliberately misled us to try and contain the political fallout.

  • Susitna

I was expecting Mrs. Crowley to blew it as I don’t consider her journalistic performance to be intellectually gifted. Maybe she learned from Obama to pick winners and losers and when she saw her child Barack so full of sh… she just wanted to change the diapers…..
Something I cannot understand is that one very important question went missing and it is the one placed about security in the Benghazi Embassy that didn’t get answered by Obama. Instead he played been the macho guy who made “immediately” phone calls to ask what happened, to reinforce security (I don’t know how because nobody was there to help) and to start the investigation to punish the murderers. I mean he is not a fireman! He has to be there as commander in chief to prevent fires at all!!!! Not answering this question means to me that he is completely toast and nobody can tell me that the debate was a draw. He lost the debate big time. But if Krauthammer and other snobs think that he did well, only because he repeated nonstop old and new lies, we are losing objectivity or are starting to like eating garbage. Furthermore I don’t think that for a sitting President to achieve a draw is a win. A draw is a defeat because it makes you feel that you cannot distinguish between the President and the Candidate for Presidency as both seem to have the same strength. Obama lied, attacked Romney’s character (something the nation doesn’t like) and told us again that he is rich (Obama is also very rich and his friends as well) and at the very end he didn’t offer any ideas for the future nor his personal vision. How can someone say that he won? He was laughing all the time like the retarded Biden while Romney was talking about POTUS failures and about sensitive matters of great concern to the Nation. But at the very end no poll is going to tell me which candidate I liked the most. This is something very personal and the win for Romney will be on Election Day and by a landslide because nobody seems to know anything about the “hidden number” of citizens that will vote GOP.

    • sjmom

Like you I noticed Obama did not answer the question about lack of security in Benghazi. Be assured if you and I noticed it so did many other Americans. Just like we noticed many things the pundits don’t care about, such as gas prices. Obama failed miserably on energy but we’re not hearing much about it other than he was wrong on oil permits.

Pundits don’t have the same concerns we do because they will keep their jobs as long as there are politics to discuss.

You’re also right because no pundit can tell anyone who to like. Fortunately, they get one vote just like us; unless, of course, they live in one of the cities with a cemetary vote. LOL

      • Susitna

Yes, the pundits are circumnavigating in another orbit like us normal people. I used to love and admire Mr. Krauthammer, but now I am deeply disappointed. It seemed like he was just enjoying the debate like watching a baseball match. Did he forget that Americans are bleeding? Obama was misleading the Nation again and Krauthammer was talking about Obama making so and so much points? I couldn’t believe that. Furthermore our snobby Megyn Kelly was shocked that the guys were fighting against each other and mentioned that women don’t like that. I mean what a snob!!!! We are dying Mrs. Kelly and we need several Men and Women to rescue the country!!!!! I don’t care if they kick their butts as long as someone does something to remove the traitor in command. God bless you.

    • Amjean

I find that one of the positives of this election cycle (from 2010 to 2012) is that
the lefty leaning rinos are being exposed.

Old Saurkruat is one of them.

      • Susitna

Yes, this is true…we are cleaning the house…….I feel like the liberal and conservative pundits are in panic mode and that are moving towards the middle just in case…….If Romney wins, the liberal pundits will lose credibility and their jobs and if Obama gets re-elected many conservative voices will go to jail or die on the streets walking home……

  • WordsFailMe

Spinning like a skewered pig. With lipstick…

      Mama Warthog

      • E. Lee Zimmerman

You know what the difference is between Candy Crowley and a pitbull?

        Fleas.

        • williamm

That’s not always true. There are some pitbulls that have fleas too.

  • Sandra123456

Candy you are not supposed to become part of the story.

Why doesn’t CNN try to make amends for this and do an in depth report on the Benghazi Tragedy and get the focus off Candy.

    • E. Lee Zimmerman

See, that’s what I think everyone is missing here.

At my ripe old age, I’m VERY cynical, and I think miss Crowley was just waiting for the opportunity to insert herself INTO the story. She’d been harping all d@mn day on TV every chance she got about how she was going to BE an active part of this debate, and I think she made up her mind well in advance that it was going to be specifically regarding foreign policy. If you watch the entire debate, there were clearly a few topics where she was more aggressively trying to ‘lead’ the conversation — precisely ’cause she let some topics go on longer than they needed — and that’s when she tried putting herself in as the third participant. Mind you, I didn’t reach that conclusion while I was watching; I only realized it after finishing and reflecting back with my wife, asking questions like, “Why the frak did we spend so much time talking about X when all people want to know are Y and Z?” I think it was deliberate on her part — I think it entirely premeditated, in fact — and I’m surprised that there hasn’t been more buzz about it.

    • sjmom

The media has to make themselves the story or they’re afraid they will lose their relevance. Little do they understand they already have because who trusts them?

      • StandingGround

        Yes, sjmom and E.L Z –

And, in this case, once she made herself the story, all eyes are off dear leader and the subject has been changed yet again.

  • Learnedsmtn2day

Damn these guys piss me off !!! they lie and lie over and over and don’t get called on it even when discussing that acts of terror was only mentioned in a general way they switched the wording from “NO ACT OF TERROR WILL EVER SHAKE…….to “THESE ACTS OF TERROR” which implies Benghazi is included.

  • joyfulgiver

But, last night she was defending him! She should not be fact checking, that is NOT the role of the moderator. What a joke! I listened on the radio, I am going to have to go back and watch some of the debates. But, from what I heard, Romney one solidly!

  • Sober_Thinking

Chaffetz was spot on. Crowley blew it bigtime at that point (and during other parts too) in the debate. She was wrong to do it. She was wrong with her assertion and reasoning. And she was worse than Lehrer in moderating this debate – her bias was painfully obvious.

I love how “Sellout Soledad” desparately tried to move things along before Chaffetz could refute Crowley’s performance and stance and then afterward, she couldn’t go to break fast enough. Aside from Chaffetz and maybe one other person, this is a phony analysis panel… absolute spin, lies, and more crap from CNN.

Until the media regains some integrity and honesty, they should be branded as domestic terrorists… because they are killing America from the inside by supporting the Destroyer-and-Chief, his highness, dear ruler.

    • Orangeone

Chaffetz was much too nice. He visited Benghazi. He should have blasted a hole through her reminding her even CNN, the most liberal media ever, called out Obama on waiting 14 days to call it a terrorist attack.

      • Sober_Thinking

Yeah, I agree… Candy and those phonies deserve both barrells of truth.

    • colliemum

I think its time for any Republican in this election to simply refuse to appear on any show with SOB, or indeed on CNN/MSNBC and the rest of them because of their evident bias.

      • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

        I sure do like Soledad’s initials ;-)

        • colliemum

          Me too!

          :-))

          • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

            lol!

      • Sober_Thinking

        It’s funny you say that…

I’ve been in turmoil over this. Go on those rag networks and try to set the record straight (in a hostile environment), be a punching bag (because it will happen – look at The View for instance), or try to reach many viewers who wouldn’t get the truth otherwise…

        vs.

Boycott obviously racial, biased, ignorant, crappy rags like those so you don’t reward their bad behavior.

I lean towards the latter but understand the former. I’m still betwixt.

  • WordsFailMe

It was like she was playing mom to keep peace between the boys. Is this the only perspective she has on the world? I’m stumped. I considered Candy Crowley every bit as gifted at objective analysis of the events and people around her as, say, Ann Coulter or S.E. Cupp. (ahem)

She stumbles around trying to justify not interfering in a debate between two men vying for control of the most powerful nation on the planet like a fourteen year old girl caught sneaking into her bedroom through the window after curfew. This is a woman of very limited perspective. Especially on the fact that the world does not revolve around Candy Crowley and what she is receiving is something that humans have known about for years–criticism.

She is at once graceless and obtuse.

    • notebene

Those words do not fail and in fact are right on point! :D

    • E. Lee Zimmerman

Obtuse, certainly. And that won’t be covered by ObamaCare. Clearly, it’s a pre-existing condition.

      • WordsFailMe

        LOL!!

    • Orangeone

And set professional women back decades as did the Martha idiot.

  • notebene

Chaffetz was too nice to Crowley. Hey Crowley, your Imposter in Chief lied all the way through the debate and you honestly think that Romney was the one that needed the fact checking? Are you believing the rest of us are that stupid to buy your condescending, leftist-loon nonsense!
The GOP should demand that the next debate be moderated by Michelle Malkin! With the same lame rules that they gave Crowley the cow!

    • Orangeone

I could never handle Michelle Malkin’s screeching and sarcasm for 90 minutes. She would be much more effective if she had some voice training.

Now, Mark Levin would be a good moderator.

      • Gtrjag

I understand what you mean about Michelle Malkin, I prefer to read her blog than listen to her. She is good looking though, but a bit too old for me.

    • colliemum

Oooohhhh – I’d stay up into the early hours of the morning to watch such a debate!

    • sjmom

The problem is if you appear rude then you risk looking like them.

  • GEDouglas

Either way BO is screwed. If he said, in the Rose Garden, it was an act of terror then he and his cohorts go out and blame the video for a week…a lie, a coverup. If he didn’t call it an act of terror and knew it was on that day (which is what they seem to be saying)…he blatantly lied.

    • RosiesSeeingRed

Exactly. I was thinking the same thing. Some are saying Romney mishandled that moment, but I say he couldn’t lose no matter how he reacted. In fact, his surprised and incredulous reaction was exactly right. It was a genuine response to the fact that the Obama story changes from day to day, from minute to minute — which is what happens when you LIE. You cannot keep track of what you say!

      • freenca

Rush put forth this morning that Romney may have been laying down a snare for the one in next weeks foreign policy oriented debate. A snare BO has already stepped into and will not be able to extricate himself from without a total admission of the lies he has engaged in about the Bengazi fiasco. Which is it BO all lies or a cover-up and lies??? Well, which is it Mr pResident???

        • RosiesSeeingRed

Well, I’m not sure it was planned or intentional, based on Romney’s genuine reaction, but I think we can all assume Romney is smart enough to figure out that he’s got Obama cornered on this… something I think we are all looking forward to on Monday. Let’s see Obama plead with the moderator again to change the subject when Romney tries to make him choose between “lies & cover-up” or “lies.”

You know what else I think Romney will have a 2nd shot at? Fast & Furious. He might’ve been cut off by Crowley last night, but he’s not going to let that happen again, and last I checked, Mexico is not a our country, so it should be included in the foreign policy discussion on Monday. If it’s not, Romney needs to somehow bring it up.

I’m betting that Romney will Rosie. The best part of the Bengazi part of last nights debate is that the lamestream cannot ignore it now and will have to report on it in some way other than they have been, more and more info is getting out to the public and the whole mess has to be aired out, as it is beginning to stink to high heaven. The lies are ripening and rotting and stinking just like sour grapes, only the Dems. will not be able to make any wine out of them, just vinegar for fruit flies.

    • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

If he said in the Rose Garden that it was an act of terror and then promptly flew off to vagas to campaign…. ah crap..

  • poljunkie

When is Candy going on MSNBC to Rachael Maddows or Sagents Shulttzs show to tell their audience that she was wrong? That share of the television viewers should know.

  • SaraPFan

Now remember Crowley made her circuit rounds and forewarned us that she was going to play a bigger part in the debate than just “moderating”. The Commission even changed the contract rules at the last minute. Now she pretends that she wanted to innocently “move things along”? She already told us that she wanted to play a bigger role than just transitioning topics from the audience.

    • E. Lee Zimmerman

Boom! There it is! I said as much above only a few moments ago. Methinks this was all premeditated on Crowley’s part.

  • Rshill7

Namby Pamby Camby (Candy doesn’t rhyme) fell for the same thing Bill Clinton did many times, I mean she fell for it, sook, hine, and linker, when referring to the transcript where O’ used the word terror. What he “cleverly” did there was insert a new subject at the end of his Rose Garden tap dance there, which was all about spontaneous demonstrations and youtube videos. It was a thinly veiled pair of sheer underpants, scantily covering his political ass.

Bill used to insert commas into his sentences so that he could either plausibly deny, or safely affirm what he was saying. You can harken back to several classic Lewinsky sentence concoctions there, and see what I mean, in your mind’s eye. If not, your mind’s eye could use a monocle.

Obama and company have learned that lesson, but have not honed it to such a fine, fiendish art, as Clinton was able to. Oh, they use it, but like JV football second-stringers thrust into the NFL.

Here’s how Obama used this “nanny nanny boo boo” technique, also known as the “missed me, missed me, now you gotta kiss me”, routine:

Remember when Romney said that O’ had cut federal land oil leases in half? Well, half is 50% right? So O’ was able to “honestly” say that the Romney statement was not true, and it most assuredly was untrue…how? Because he actually cut those leases by 62%.

Please forward my Pulitzer, or color-coordinated Captain Obvious cape for exposing this smoking gun, to BR 549.

    • Orangeone

And why did she have that transcript in her hand???? Obvious set-up and Romney failed to call her out on it. He didn’t question why she had it or ask her if she had the federal court order on off-shore drilling in her hand.

  • PFFV

The biased liberal national media is our enemy #1, Obama will be defeated this November!

  • anneinarkansas

Soledad O’Brien appears to be on Obama’s payroll as a campaigner.

    • PhillyCon

They all are. Its about time the “higher ups” in the party start treating them as such.

  • Army_Pilot1967

Is Sole_Duh on television every day??????? Just another reason not to watch the boob tube, she drives me nuts!!!! She’s annoying, not too bright, is holding down a job that someone much more on-the-ball could have, and is in obama’s pocket.

    • Rshill7

Calm down! Maybe she likes billiards.

      • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

        YAY! :-D

        • Rshill7

Uh oh. You weren’t s’posed to see that :-I

          Aw, what the hey…Yay!

  • poljunkie

In may be in poor taste but maybe Romney should release an ad that has clips of Obamas people ( Jay Carney, Susan Rice, etc) on the 5 sunday shows and HIM on the View, and at the UN repeatedly saying Benghazi was due to the youtube video. With the crescendo of Hilary saying she takes responsiblity, and then Obama saying he does, finally, over a month later.

After all Obama has already said Romney plays politics and he doesnt. That is so laughable.

    • Rshill7

It’s a little like a hippo playing the part of a slight of hand artist.

      Just a weee bit quirky.

      • poljunkie

I still cant get over the fact that Michelle Obama let the crowd in applause when Candy Crowley defended Obama.

Not only was it against the rules, but it made it appear like the crowd really supported what he said. (She probably did the same thing when the pension quibble occurred).

        • freenca

The pension line was priceless! BO had a “caught me red-handed” look on his face.

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_MVB7D2KTCEW6NQCZ3JQMOHPFOU V.L.

There is a tape showing Michelle Obama applauding, not the whole crowd.

      • freenca

That just brings to mind a mental picture of Fantasia’s dancing hippos, Rs. EEW! ;-)

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/SM3MO3OCNPWRH4C7ANPKDI73JI Rick

“…these acts of terror…”, both Crowley and the other CNN bot used this line in this video clip – and was not in fact used by Obama. Arrgghhh – the issue is that for the following 2 weeks, all we heard from the administration was that there were demonstrations over a video and a spontaneous attack then occurred. Couple that with the facts that those who brief them already knew that wasn’t the case! What’s so darned hard about putting it that way? Spin spin spin….

  • anyonebutbarry2012

crawley and the rest can lie all they want, barry is going to be voted out. every debate so far, lies and more lies from him,.his miserable record speaks for itself.

  • dk_in_tn

Crowley was a horrible moderator and that is a FACT. Now I know why I never watch CNN.
    Soledad is despicable.

    • Sandra123456

Maybe we can start a petition. We’ll petition CNN to fire Soledad, for arrogance, and in return we the petition signers will guarantee to turn one of our home’s TV’s on to CNN every day for a year for one hour (whether we watch it or not.)

  • CitizenVetUSA

Why would Crowley have the Rose Garden Transcript at the debate?

Obama tells Candy Crowley to “Get the transcript”.

That comment implies that both knew about the white house Rose Garden Statement and made sure that Crowley had that transcript at town hall debate to use to defend Obama.

Actually he generally said “No act of terror will alter the resolve of this nation……” which is NOT the characterization which CNN tried to push.

    • Orangeone

Murder by definition is terror and the victims feel terror when they are being killed.

    • colliemum

There’s worse: one commenter at Breitbart pointed out (can’t find it right now) that this Rose Garden speech was actually paraphrasing what President Bush said in regard to 9/11/01.
IAW, the Obama script writers stole that phrase about acts of terrorism from President Bush.

      • CitizenVetUSA

That would be an important paraphrase to connect so as to give the Romney Campaign the argument in next debate.

    • williamm

If she had the transcript then she would see that Obama was putting the blame on the video.

      From the transcript.

I have directed my Administration to provide all necessary resources to support the security of our personnel in Libya, and to increase security at our diplomatic posts around the globe. While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants.

This part of the statement shows where Obama puts the blame.

” While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others,”

  • tvlgds

As soon as I heard about the “11th hr. change” that would allow this beast to insert herself, I knew this was the way the debate would go. Why in the world the Republicans have agreed to these far left wing moderators in EVERY debate, I will never understand!

  • tinker_thinker

Huh? She had no problem saying ‘lets move on’ in the whole debate, so I don’t think so…

  • SineWaveII

To quote 3 dog night LIAR LIAR LIAR!

  • http://navalwarfare.blogspot.com/ Libertyship46

Good for Chaffetz for stating the obvious. I really was surprised to see Crowley openly helping the president. It must have been really frustrating for Romney. But it didn’t seem to work, because the focus groups after the debate gave Romney the win. And, in the final analysis, it isn’t about “scoring points,” it’s about convincing voters to vote for you.

  • E. Lee Zimmerman

Candy’s a proven liar. Smarmy O’Brien is a fraud so far as her “journalistic credentials” are concerned. And Chaffetz was TOO NICE b/c he didn’t want to get browbeat to death by those surrounding him.

  • CG patriot

Of coarse Ms. Crowley wanted to get this topic “Libya” moving along. She not only inserted her own conclusion’s to their statement’s, she allowed Obama wiggle room to stop Romney from going all in with the WH cover-up. She got caught in the cross fire because she had to deflect. Covering for “O’s” @$$ is a full time position, even for a moderator.

Breaking rules, or changing the rules midstream is what this administration does. Smoke and mirror’s. Not exactly what I / he quoted ‘ ‘ ‘ however I’m still the POTUS: smirking Obama.

  • wodiej

By the time Romney is done in the Foreign Policy debate, obama will be a footnote in history and a smelly one.

    • poljunkie

      I hope so.

Romney now needs to put together a cohesive dialogue on the entire Benhghazi thing, to include the “Rose Garden” retort. With a minor did tossed at Obama. But he has to be sooo polished.

      • pdxlady

        He will.

  • LeonidasOfSparta1957

Long overdue “check” on the the moderator! It’s long overdue that we have Rush or Levin as moderators. Can you just hear it: “Sit down Obama it’s not your turn yet; and just for the record, shut up you big dope! There, I said it!!”

    • poljunkie

Mark Levin and Eric Boiling, and Mark Steyn would be great!!!!
I love Rush but the left would b*tch and moan, and b*tch somemore!

  • poljunkie

I just read on the Washington Post that the guy that asked the Libya question said that Obama sought him out after the debate and offered him a more detailed answer re Libya. Something like he spent 2 min with him, and he appreciated his “retail politics”.

    Here’s the link:
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/erik-wemple/post/presidential-debate-libya-questioner-says-obama-didnt-answer/2012/10/17/7109898e-1867-11e2-a55c-39408fbe6a4b_blog.html

I guess I’m not a gentleman. I would have let her have it. Not sure what “it” would be but it wouldn’t let her save face.

  • sjmom

That was about as diplomatic of a scolding as I have seen. Though she helped Obama Candy did Romney more of a favor because its keeping Libya at the forefront of the news.

  • ChicksLoveRight

There goes Soledad’s wet dream! Candy did what Soledad always fantasized about – carrying Obama’s water with 50 Millions watching.. *sigh*

The question to be asked is, “If the administration believed it was about terrorism, then how did it come to be that the talking points all pointed to a video? How was it that every major news network was pushing the “video” story rather than the “terrorism” story?”

That talking point had to originate from somewhere and if Obama truly believed it was about terrorism he would have made it a point to shut down the “video” propaganda.

Obama was trying to cover is a$$ because having a terror attack on his watch wasn’t going to bode well with the masses. He’s a coward and a childish schmuck trying to talk his way out of the truth.

  • Howzah123

    This is so damning

She’s admitting she KNEW where Romney was going to go with his line of questioning so she stopped him before he could make his points.

CNN needs to fire this woman YESTERDAY

    • DebbyX

Somethings rotten in Denmark. Certainly smells like a setup!

  • http://twitter.com/Piquerish Piquerish

I have about a dozen old socks I’ve been meaning to get rid of. Anyone willing to help me stuff them equally down Suet Queen Crowley’s partisan throat and up agenda-constipated Solidad’s sphincter? What a pair of smug, vile “NeoComs.”

  • Amjean

I also read that she had a transcript of Obama’s remarks. Does anyone know
    if this is true?

    • tofubamboo

I have read that as well, which is forbidden to have notes like that, I believe. And the reason she apparently did as she read from the transcript and Obama asked her pointedly to comment. I refused to watch the debate, so this is only hearsay.

    • buzzkill59

Yes she did have a transcript of the speech,Apparently she was just too stupid to understand it.

      • GraceKnows

I caught that during the debate, and pointed it out to my fiancee. Obama literally called out *immediately* for the transcript! All that was lacking was him snapping his fingers as he ordered Candy Crowley to produce it.

Unbelievable. Why aren’t they talking about the fact that Crowley had the exact transcript ready, just in case??

  • msverde1

You are absolutely correct, RS! That was one of the best gentlemanly response “reprimands” by Rep. Chaffetz to inappropriate, unprofessional conduct unbecoming, especially during a time in which 23+ million citizens of this great nation are suffering due to the puerile behavior by the Obama administration for the past four years. Thank you!!

  • Watchman74

Have all the moderators so far been democrats??

    • reason1984

Yes, and the Republicans let it happen.

  • http://www.facebook.com/pjcitro Paul J. Citro

Monday debate on foreign affairs moderator is another Dem…. Bob Schieffer (Host of Face the Nation on CBS) and I hear they want to talk about Iran not Libya………..hmmmmm I smell something.

  • binky354

Saying Obama did call Benghazi a terror attack in the Rose Garden. That makes all the lying about the video being the cause even more repulsive. This administration is a bunch of the best lying politicians I’ve seen in my lifetime and it’s been a long one.

    • RosiesSeeingRed

I think lying is a prerequisite to being a liberal. You have to see this video over at Legal Insurrection showing Obama supporters in California (courtesy of Jimmy Kimmel) being asked what they thought of the 2nd debate and the town hall style. Great question, except it was asked about 6 hours BEFORE the debate, but that didn’t stop these Obama supporters from lying through their teeth:

      http://legalinsurrection.com/2012/10/they-are-the-45-percent/

  • kong1967

Lol, she’s probably regretting doing the debate. Good. She tried to help Obama by saying his lie is the truth….then after it was over she said Romney was right. She should slap herself and quit her job.

  • Centralcoast

Candy Crowley is taking on the mantra of Obama’s campaign which is “lies, lies, and more lies!” I hope people recognize what she did and will no longer watch her show or CNN. We need an UNBIASED media!

  • LiveFreeOrDie2012

The democrats have shifted the Libya focus to this Rose Garden speech.

Regardless of the alleged reference to “acts of terror” in the speech, the focus should remain on the U.N. speech afterward where he blames the violence on a video.

Also, we cannot ignore Rice’s claims on 5 different TV programs.

The Rose Garden speech is a red herring.

  • DebbyX

I thought everybody in the audience was “un”decided. Yeah, sure. All that clapping for our next EX-president kinda gave that away! Applause for Romney also granted, but Crowley should have buttoned it!

    • Landscaper

Candy wanted to be the “star” of the debate. She wants to be a famous celebrity. Desperately. Desperately.Desperately. Her pride oozes from every pore. The CNN panel members sat as still as stone when Mr. Chaffetz made his criticism. “OOOPs! We’ll leave it there! Time for a break!”

  • TJinNJ

This is the Liberal progressive way – Lie, deny, obfuscate…

  • Landscaper

Did she pull those “Terror not Terror” notes magically out of her a–s ? Smells of a rigged event.

  • GraceKnows

Okay, here’s the thing. Not only did the moderator obviously have (in advance) the transcript from the Rose Garden speech handy, it’s extremely obvious that Obama was well aware that she had the transcript! “Get the transcript!” he yells, after letting Romney ask his questions. Then he sets him up, knowing that Candy has the transcript ready to whip out for “proof!” We already know we had a moderator who cheated. Why aren’t patriots talking about the fact that the incumbent president was complicit in this whole trap designed to allow Obama to make his claim about “acts of terror?” It was like watching a bad movie!

    Anyone?

  • hongryhawg

The bright future Crowley was hoping for as a heavy-hitter unbiased moderator left Earth last night in a blast of hot hair. She and Obama ambushed Romney on this. They new the question was coming and coordinated and answer beforehand. Crowley’s a liar in her explanation, “Oh, I was just trying to move things along.” These pathetic liberals continue to think that if they say it, it will be believed. And once Chaffetz pointed out Crowley’s failure, O’Brien cut him off. O’Brien belongs back in the schoolyard and I think Crowley would be happier back in charge of quality control at her favorite cheeseburger joint. Neither are suited for journalism, if that’s what you want to call that.

  • ebola131

Romney is going to be very busy in the early months of his Administration; but as Oblabla said, elections have consequences.
One item should be…close the White House Press Office.
He can have his press secretary call them when he has something to tell them.
Having a Jay Carney spouting bullshit on a daily basis is demeaning to our Republic.
