Rep. Michael McCaul, Homeland Security Committee Chair, says that Obama has been putting forth this false narrative to the American people about Al Qaeda and he’s not being truthful about it. McCaul says Al Qaeda is “spreading like wildfire” in the Middle East and though the president talks about how we’ve decimated “core Al Qaeda”, he says Al Qaeda themselves do not make that distinction. He argues that the president is downplaying the threat of terrorism when in reality Al Qaeda is more of a threat now than they were before 9/11.
