With continual rocket fire from terrorists in Gaza, it sounds like Israel is preparing to invade the Gaza Strip. Of course I’m sure they’d also like to prevent such invasion which is why this information is being reported. but no doubt this isn’t just a bluff:

YWN – Defense Minister Ehud Barak sought government approval on Friday to mobilize up to 75,000 reserve troops for Israel’s Gaza campaign, political sources said, in a sign of preparations for a possible ground offensive.

The sources, speaking after Palestinian rockets were fired at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, said ministers were being polled by telephone by the cabinet secretary to approve the call-up.

According to the IDF, over 16,000 reservists have already been mobilized, out of the 30,000 previously approved by the Israeli government.

May their resolve be firm and their actions swift…

I pray Israel doesn’t ease up this time until they have achieved peace. I also pray that WE (the United States of America) mount up on our F-16s, F-117As, F-22s, B-1s, B-2s, B-52s, A-10s, AC-130s, and KC-135s for aerial refueling, as well as all our Navy goodies that we have to offer to absolutely DEVASTATE that horrible, horrible region of the World so that WE may finally achieve peace as well…

We don’t need to put boots on the ground…Israel has that covered. But we CAN provide massive Air/Sea Support, the likes of which this world has NEVER SEEN BEFORE, and God-Willing will never have to see again…

Hamas wants to talk about Israel opening up the gates of Hell huh…if we join in this fight we can help Israel SEAL THOSE GOD-DA*N GATES SHUT, for at least the rest of OUR lives (and most likely our kids and their kids lives too)…

    • Darkbella007

I agree. I am just very leery of our CiC giving any such order in regards to our Airforce/Navy pilots. I also do not think they would bluff in this manner. I think it is tactically very smart if they will be trying to neutralize Iran from helping Hamas.

    • bbitter

“We don’t need to put boots on the ground…Israel has that covered.”

75K… more than enough for a gaza operation, though I am surprised that it is that small. They are looking at a possible all-out war with Egypt as well as most, if not all, their other neighboring nations.

I hope we do provide support, but if we jump into this situation, it is likely to escalate way beyond the middle east, as Syria and Iran have Russian and Chinese backing…

That’s always been the problem with the middle east: it is a direct gateway to world war.

“the likes of which this world has NEVER SEEN BEFORE, and God-Willing will never have to see again…”

hehe… Either this is a leadup to, or part of Armageddon, or, the world will see much worse.

What do you pray for in that situation? God’s will be done.

    • aussieguy64

      Day 3 of this Operation…

      105 rockets fired by Hamas.
99 rockets intercepted by Iron Dome system.

      Success Rate: 94.29%

  • maynardb50

Well, folks you do not mobilize that large of a contingent of forces unless ground conflict is imminent. Armored vehicles are positioned already along the borders, 46,000 troops have already mobilized. Sounds like WAR to me.

  • Sober_Thinking

May God bless and protect Israel and her people.

It’s bad enough to have to fight terrorists in Gaza… but now Egypt wants to play and the U.S. (well, Obama) will sit on the bench.

God has Israel’s back – and that’s all they need.

  • Haywoodjbl

Israel will bring the fight to Egypt if they get involved……Gaza will be cake compared to the hell unleashed on Egypt

  • colliemum

It would need a miracle – Hamas stopping their rocket attacks tonight – to stop the ground force moving into Gaza.
The IDF is prepared, see here : http://www.idf.il/1283-17607-EN/Dover.aspx

Strangely enough, I think they are better prepared and have far better intelligence than during Operation Cast Lead. The precise taking out of the launch pads and rocket stores with such tiny number of casualties makes me think the troupes going in are way better prepared, and there’ll be way more real-time information available to them.

To my unmilitary mind, only schooled in history, it looks as if Hamas is fighting the last war: Operation Cast Lead, whereas the IDF is fully prepared to fight a brand new war.

Still – I pray for the brave soldiers who are going to be the point of the spear, and pray that they all come back safely and unharmed.

    • sjmom

      Amen.

  • loriannringold

And so it begins. This is the beginning of something bigger to come that will draw all of the world into a war. God will be with Israel.

God Bless Israel and her chosen people. As devastated as I was on election night, it can’t compare to how Israel feels about it. They will take care of business. They have to.

      Putin!
He supports Assad in Syria, against the jihadis – and now wants to make friendly approaches to Morsi! He still seems to think in the old communist categories of ‘spheres of influence’, when Nasser was supported by the Kremlin.

Gawd, this is so ludicrous, if it weren’t so deadly serious for Israel one would laugh.

I need to go now, for a long prayer for Israel and for all of us.

Keep safe, and God bless you.

  • 911Infidel

Attack, attack, attack…No more games. Ham-a$$ has been asking for it…give it to them. Take back the Gaza, there is no Hudna. So why bother trying to negotiate one anymore.

  • shield1

Again the world watches in silence as innocents are attacked. Israel should -never- have given up Gaza…. who cares what the bought and paid for with oil money elites in the west think?

  • colliemum

“Palestinian sources report that Israel killed senior Hamas field commander Ahmed Abu-Jalal and three of his brothers in an airstrike on central Gaza.

Initial reports said the men were killed when the vehicle they were driving suffered a direct hit from the air. The IDF says the men were killed while preparing to fire rockets on southern Israel.”
    http://www.timesofisrael.com/air-raid-sirens-wail-in-jerusalem-for-first-time/

See – just those men killed, no women, children or other innocent bystanders. Precision, that’s what it is.

  • Terrenceor

The left will try and make Isreal look like the Mubarak or Assad Regime and make the Palistinians out to be the oppressed Arabs trying to be free of Jewish rule. Just watch. Netanyahu is doing a good job this time of keeping the record straight.

Go get ‘em Israel. God is with you.

Who here knows Bible prophecy? Is this Ezekiel 38 and 39?

    • stage9

      It’s the Pslam 83 war.

I’ve been told Ezekiel 38 comes later after the rapture.

I’ve heard it explained as being in the context of a circle within a circle. The ancient names for the modern equivalents listed in Pslam 83 are the inner circle, those closest to Israel’s borders. Those ancient countries superimposed over a modern map would give us: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.

The outer circle of nations are those mentioned in Ezekiel 38. It lists Persia, which is Iran, Put which is Libya, Cush or “Ethiopia” (not to be confused with modern Ethiopia) which is modern Sudan and I believe Turkey which also includes the other so-called “stans” of Europe bring up the final nation.

My source believes that Israel will win the Psalm 83 war and in the process expand her borders by absorbing the land she takes in the war. But her troubles aren’t over yet. The Ezekiel war you mentioned will still be a factor later on after the rapture of the Church.

Are we beginning to see the fulfillment of the Psalm 83 war prophesy? We’ll have to see.

You know this may be a scary time in American history, but for those who know their GOD – Yehovah — it is an exciting time. This is that which was spoken of by the prophets — the soon coming of the glorious appearing of Christ. This is why we exist. For such a time as this.

      • sjmom

Thank you. I tried to research on some sites I know but couldn’t find anything. I thought the Ezekiel 38 & 39 war was later but I also heard there was another war before it but can’t remember in Scripture where they said.

You’re right its time to look up because the Lord will soon return. I believe there is still much to do and so I pray daily to know what the Lord has for me to do that I might serve Him as He desires. Amen.

        • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

I’m late here sjmom, and I’m tired, but there are a few wars coming. I agree with Stage9 that this if it comes to it, is the one described in Psalms. Also, there is that prophecy against Damascus that hasn’t been fulfilled yet. The Ezekiel war in Chapter 38 describes Israel as being without walls… which means she has had some peace, enough that the walls (between Gaza and Israel) are no longer there. Hmmm.
But Ezekiel 39 speaks of the Israelites using the fuel from the enemies weapons for seven years, so might this one be a part of the same war of Ezekiel 38 or might this part actually come first? It’s interesting to think about.

          Sorry to inturrupt ;-)

          • stage9

You’re not interrupting anything my friend. The thing about prophesy is that it’s never really crystal until after it’s been fulfilled. Until then it’s mostly speculation. It’s like “seeing through a glass darkly”.

From what I’ve gathered from my Pastor friend, (he’s someone I trust indubitably on the subject of Bible prophesy, especially as it relates specifically to Israel) is that Ezekiel 38 specifically mentions Persia, or modern day Iran, which is a key player in the fulfillment of the Ezekiel 38 prophesy.

            He says:

“Their war (Iran) against Israel comes up in Ezekiel 38 where they are mentioned by name (Persia). But the Psalm 83 War is first where a completely different list of countries is named. None of those are listed in Ezekiel 38. Therefore, I conclude that Israel wins the Psalm 83 War and expands Israel from Egypt to Syria fulfilling God’s promise to Abram (who became Abraham).”

Because the countries listed in Pslam 83 are not mentioned in Ezekiel 38, it is supposed that those nations are absorbed by Israel by the time Ezekiel 38 occurs.

You can read more about his analysis of the Psalm 83 war here if you’re interested: ( http://elishavision.wordpress.com/2011/02/19/the-muslim-caliphate-and-the-psalm-83-war/ ) I used to serve with him at a previous church. I’m sure he’d love to answer any questions you might have. He’s a very nice guy. He’s also friends with Walid Shoebat.

No sooner did I finish writing this that THIS was reported!:

Report: Rockets Fired from Egypt Hit Israel
              http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/report-rockets-fired-egypt-hit-israel_663502.html

This is further evidence that the Pslam 83 war may have already begun!

              • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Thank God there were no injuries- but wow, things are escalating fast!WOW! Thank you Stage9!

              • sjmom

                Last night I read Psalm 83. :)

            • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Thank you for the link! I’ll look at it tomorrow. I agree though with what you/he says. I always looked at Psalm 83 as coming first because of the nations involved, it seemed to make more sense as things happening became more clear too. And, because like I mentioned to sjmom above, the Ezekiel 38 verses mentioning that Israel is “unwalled” which to me, indicated they had been living in peace for a while. So, yes, seems to me we are begining to see the Bible in action once again. It’s frightening, and sad, but at the same time, amazing. God Bless you my friend.

            • sjmom

              Thanks for the link.

          • sjmom

Not interrupting at all and I appreciate your knowledge of prophecy because it is an area of Scripture I need further study but also one in which I hunger and thirst to learn more. Have heard much about Ezekiel 38 & 39 and thought someone said there is another before it.

When Israel is involved my ears perk up because I know she is central to prophecy and I eagerly await the return of my Lord. :)

            • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Amen! I am eager as well! Good Morning sjmom. Hope you have a Blessed day! :-)

              • sjmom

You have a blessed day also. We are blessed to know the Lord and He continues to bless us as He is faithful to all who call upon Him. Hallejuiah!!!!!!!

I don’t know if an invasion is the way to go. The last thing Israel wants to do is get sucked into house-to-house street fighting with anybody. Perhaps targeted bombings, like they are doing now (except on a much larger scale), will convince Hamas to knock it off. If they don’t, increase the bombings. Hamas WANTS an invasion to get back at the Israeli Army. They also want it for propoganda value. Don’t give it to them. Make them hurt, but with at little cost to Israel as possible. THAT will hurt Hamas the most, sustaining damage from bombings but with no recourse of their own to strike back at the Israelis other than firing unguided rockets. If we had a REAL president, our Air Force would be assisting the Israeli Air Force in putting constant air cover over Gaza. As soon as anybody fired a rocket, the Combat Air Patrol over Gaza would bomb the attackers. This could even be accomplished by using armed drones over Gaza, providing 24/7 coverage over that territory. Do that long enough and even Hamas will get the message.

what ever will be, will be. Israel will and shall arise victoriously after all are said done. My prayers are for many to be of the wise virgins, watch & pray for I know not of the moment of our Lords return. HIS feet are at the door.

I ask to all enemies of Israel & all God loving believers to please , GO AHEAD and do whatever their evil heart lead them to commit, my REDEEMER IS SO NEARBY !

Let us FEAR NOT, but Lift up our eyes, HE IS SO NEAR !

God will forever take care of Israel

  • Centurian3333

I continue to wonder when and how Israel will deal the final blow directly on Iran–before the latter’s use of a nuclear weapon. I’m astounded that Israel hasn’t already done more than sideline a few Iranian scientists. Obama is full of worthless words of support and nothing else (except maybe full of himself)

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_YTW457NVTTIB2NPVUGR7WXAXFM General Lee

Perhaps I’m naive on the subject, but why do they need to send in ground troops? The Israeli’s have enough air power to decimate Gaza and the West Bank and send them back to the stone age. I don’t get it. Isn’t this kind of like the US fighting a bunch of cave men? The Palestinians have been lobbing random rockets into Israel for decades, unprovoked. How long are they expected to put up with it?
