Republican Lawyers attacking Liz Cheney should listen to Mark Levin

Liz Cheney and her group “Keep America Safe” has come under attack by 19 republican-appointed attorneys, which include independent Counsel Kenneth Starr of the Bill Clinton – Monica Lewinsky case, and former Deputy Attorney General for the Bush administration, Larry Thompson.

These 19 lawyers claim that Liz Cheney’s ad, which questions Namely, if these lawyers are to be trusted with upholding values and loyalties, when during the Bush administration they have represented terrorists.

In part of the statement released by these 19 republican appointed lawyers, they claim that Cheney and her group should not indict nor pass judgement on lawyers who defend the enemy. On the contrary, they claim, she should respect that lawyers often have to defend the worst of the worst. They even cited John Adams defending the unpopular British during the Boston Massacre:

The statement cited John Adams’s defense of British soldiers charged in the Boston Massacre to argue that “zealous representation of unpopular clients” is an important American tradition.

The attacks on the lawyers “undermine the Justice system more broadly,” they wrote, by “delegitimizing” any system in which accused terrorists have lawyers, whether civilian courts of military tribunals.

Here lies the problem: These lawyers are misconstruing what John Adams did and who he defended during the Boston Massacre trial.

Here is Mark Levin, who a couple of weeks ago on February 26, educated a caller, on why his comparison of what Adams did to what these Justice Department lawyers did in defending terrorists, is asinine. I recommend you all to listen:

Here is the website Mark Levin mentioned that explains all the details of the Boston Massacre case.
