Republican Steve LaTourette blames conservative ‘chuckleheads’ for screwing up Congress

Ohio Republican Stevne LaTourette clearly doesn’t care for the Tea Party conservatives in Congress because he blames them for screwing up Congress in the wake of Boehner’s ‘Plan B’ failure:

‘Unsung Davids’ is a new and powerful book tells the story of ten heroes who fought tyranny and evil but are given little or no recognition. Click Here for more details.

  • Alrighty then. I don’t know who this dufus is, but he needs to be voted out the next election.

    • Orangeone

Well, with all respect to my Scoop friends who live in OH, this guy needs to join Boehner in the unemployment line. What is in the water in OH? Are you getting some funny runoff from Detroit?

      • Rshill7

Boehner is a nearly dead possum, standing in the road waiting for the next truck, while sending out an emergency signal for more trucks. (Rs)

I had no sooner finished writing the above a little earlier when I saw that Dennis Miller had recently written the following:

“Boehner is as dewey-eyed as a menopausal conjunctivitis sufferer peeling Bermuda onions while watching “Terms of Endearment”.” (Dennis Miller)

        Yay 🙂

        • Betsey_Ross

Miller does have a way with words, doesn’t he? As for this unknown Ohio Congres Critter, the tea party has been called worse. We must be getting to these Republicans and their ineptitude. Our local Republicans don’t like us much either because we are watching them. The heat is on!

          • Rshill7

            And what’s Rs, chopped liver?

      • Joe

Two Parts Scotch with a dash of water

        • Sober_Thinking

Two parts idiot, add 1 part RINO and stir liberally.

He must be shaken because we aren’t stirred by his vomit.

      • RighteousCrow_JustCaws

Yep – other than Congressman Jim Jordan from Ohio. Mark Levin interviewed him on the show last night, and he’s a stellar and stalwart conservative.

      • 2hairs

Hey there, I’m from Michigan. That wasn’t a nice thing about Detroit, but accurate. You said it before I did.

        • Orangeone

Welcome is you are new to Scoop, my apologies for not saying hello if you’ve been here for a while!  I stand corrected, should have apologized to MI too :):)

      • Taurnil Oronar

IMO Boehner has done more damage to the Republican party than any Democrat.

    • goldenprez

AmborninCan … Too late, he resigned last July. Good riddance.

Check my post on his replacement, David Joyce, below (above ?).

You’ve got to stay on top of this stuff … lol

Throw them all out! The status quo must go!

    • TitaniumEagle

Thankfully, he’s already retiring after this term. I’m not quite sure why his party is Republican.

      • Maybe he’ll join the ranks of guys like Charlie Crist and switch to “D”.

    • Don

LaTourette is one of the reasons that Romney lost like he did. RINOs are so stupid they will never win a national election again and punks like LaTourette too are illiterate to know it. Conservatives have grown weary of supporting RINOs who will stab them in the back after they are elected. RINOs are now a third party. Never again.

  • Dr_TJL

and this piece of garbage says nothing about the slovenly Ds surrounding him? He is a shameful disgrace to himself. This is why R’s need to purge even more of these flesh eaters.

    • warpmine

Ask this question to this skunk anal gland, which organization rallied in 2010 to throw the DemonRats out? Pretty sure it wasn’t GOP elite.

Problem with these dinosaurs is they’re just about extinct and still can’t see the trees from the forest and likewise the demise of the country and it’s roots.

  • ApplePie101

Bye-bye, Boehner groupie. Thanks for nothing.

  • NJK

  • Dr_TJL

Absolutely you’re correct. He needs to go. He eats his young instead of attacking the enemies of our nation who want to spend us into oblivion. He needs a thump in the melon.

  • Philo Beddoe

He must be up for some kind of a chairmanship position

  • FreeManWalking

Latourette hmmm… what would a Frenchie know about conservatism?

…OHIO (R) LaTourette you are going to be history, removed , replaced , kicked out , voted out like the rest of you RINOS who stand with BONEHEAD Boehner .”

  • louisiana_mom

Done his best to include them? Is that why Boehner has his list of Conservatives to axe from committees if they don’t toe the Democrat – oops RINO line? Instead of worrying about what Obama and the Dems want, maybe Boehner needs to pay a little more attention to why the voters sent the Republicans to Washington in the first place.

  • GetWhatYouPayFor

If what they just did is “screwing up Congress”, then BRAVO, it is just what we sent them there to do!

  • Conniption Fitz

Maybe LaTourette has Tourette’s or brain seizures and these vile words just came out in a kind of fit.

  • PhillyCon

I don’t feel like looking it up …. but I can safely assume this yahoo has been in Congress for a while, and needs a good dose of term limits.

    • proudhispanicconservative

Don’t waste your time. not worth it

  • Sober_Thinking

Lol… you’re just nervous because jellyfish closet Democrats like you just got exposed and schooled. Your days are numbered RINO.

  • goldenprez

Steve LaTourette does not have to be voted out at the next election.

He resigned back in July. A man named David Joyce, establishment Republican, won the seat.

LaTourette endorsed Mr. Joyce, but said, “David is further right than I am.”

Of course, Hugo Chavez is further right than LaTourette.

It appears, at first blush, that conservatives are better off with Mr. LaTourette back in Ohio. It remains to be seen if Mr. Joyce is going to be any better. I doubt that he will be a conservative favorite, as he is completely “establishment.”

It would certainly be hard for him to be any worse.

Probably an improvement over LaTourette, but also probably not enough to make a real difference. I expect he will turn out to be a candidate for primarying in 2014.

    Jim Jordan he “ain’t.”

Throw them all out! The status quo must go!

Believe none of what you hear, and only half of what you see.

    Illegitimi non carborundum.

    Barracudas Maximus.

  • proudhispanicconservative

I don’t know about you guys but hearing rino’s like this talk us down like this just invigorate my commitment to defeat these idiots, it just goes to show you how irrelevant he is that I have never heard from him, because when history is written this guy is going to be a footnote to a footnote to a footnote to a footnote. I am a proud chucklehead.

  • deTocqueville1

Take one look at this guy. He’s a “Porker”! Of course these folks are upset. All these years of going along to get along, of pork and crony capitalism being threatened by people who actually believe in something. It surely must be frustrating to have these ‘chuckleheads’ around who believe in the Republic, the Constitution and the principles of the Founders.

  • proudhispanicconservative
  • c4pfan

Is that true that this guy retired? Why did he?

  • c4pfan

This is just showing what the typical moderate GOP person thinks of the people that actually got them the freaking marjority in 2010!

  • Malkiel_kol_hakavod_la_el

Republican Steve Chucklehead LaTourette is one of many establishment morons screwing up Congress…..

  • Typical Washington Rhino

  • Hmmm. That’s funny. Without those 40 or 50 chuckleheads, you wouldn’t be speaker. Maybe you are more comfortable being in the minority, perhaps.

  • white531

On Thursday, March 17, 2011 LaTourette became one of only seven Republicans who voted “NO” on a measure introduced in the US House of Representatives to strip all government funding from NPR.

He likes Big Bird. I believe that says all you need to know about him.

    • TitaniumEagle

He also likes PBS and Jim Lehrer.

  • I know, how dare they demand fiscal responsibility! Good lord. With guys like Steve LaTourette, is it any wonder why people are sick and tired of the establishment Republicans?

  • Krauthammer used this character to show that Obama had won his strategy of setting Repubs against each other:

  • WhiteGuy2

If by “chucklheads” he means conservatives with a spine then God bless the checklheads!

  • chatterbox365

I wonder if LaTourette said this before or after sucking Boehner’s d**k?

I am ashamed of these RINOs who speak about true conservatives as if they are not Americans…like they are from another planet. It is very unsettling to see members of our party sell us out and abandon everything that made our country so great.

We are fighting two groups of enemies…the liberals and the phony republicans.

  • UnCL3

who the hell are you again??

  • The Tea Party has another name to add to the growing list of colorful names assigned to the Tea Party by both Democrats and Republican RINO’s; “chucleheads”. The words actually means Stupid.
ROLLCALL News has a report posted on Aug.1.2012, Mr LaTourette isn’t seeking another term. It would be his 10th. He has been in office since 1995. The Ohioan RINO isn’t happy.
The Tea Party ladies and gentlemen in the US Congress must be doing something right.

  • 911Infidel

Isn’t Tourette a disease or something?

    • Landscaper

he said “make nice to them” isn’t that mafia speak right before they break your legs

      • 911Infidel

Nah. He’s just going out of his way to show his metricious relationship to Speaker Boner. :p)

  • aposematic

Oh my! Ohio R’s getting more like North Eastern R’s. Liberals started fleeing the Marxist takeover of the D Party back in the 80’s. How have we gotten here: Marxist D Party and Liberal R Party, conveniently labeled compassionate conservatism, sums it all up nicely.

  • Kordane

This man is impure. He is corrupted/tainted by liberalism. He is a part of the cancer.

Cancer is something that must be removed from the body if it is to remain healthy and alive.

  • Then I guess according to this moron, the Founding Fathers were “chuckleheads” too, because THEY were part of the rebellious minority as well. People tend to forget that during the American Revolution, the patriots only made up about one-third of the country. Another third were loyalists, and the remaining third didn’t really care (the “low-information voters” of the day). So from a rebellious minority sprang a great nation. Time for us to do that again. I’m so happy the conservatives in the House actually had the backbone to stand for something greater than themselves and it’s about time we found people like that. This idiot is a typical RINO, who would rather have a horrible deal, sucking off the dregs the liberals will toss him, rather than have no deal at all. The sooner losers like this leave the party, the better. All I know is, when George W. Bush won in 2004, did the liberals in the Democratic party disappear and did the party suddenly become more “centrist” and more “bipartisan?” Not, one, bit. If anything, the Democratic Party sailed even more to the left. And what happened? They won in the 2006 midterms and the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections. Time to take a stand and win for a change, rather than keep “taking the high road of bipartisanship” and losing all the time, with all the rest of the RINOs. Time to win.

    • “It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds.” Samuel Adams

      Well said Libertyship.

  • SPELL9

It takes one to know one, Chucklehead.

  • cheyennecowboy

LaTourette, please, just quite your name calling, do everybody a favor and GO HOME! And stay there, by the way.

  • taxedplenty

Years ago this man cheated on his wife. She was quite vocal about him in local papers. He’s a douchebag. Glad he’s leaving.

  • tshtsh

He’s the chucklehead he did not realize he gave himself away–“make them feel”. There is a huge difference to me between being wanted and made to feel wanted.

  • deecal

Another member of the A**Hole Caucus of the Republican Party.

  • SKL53

This guy is a Republican RINO who kisses up to guys like Boehner! We need to get rid of ALL these phoney Republicans who are truly LEFTIES like Crist from Florida who by the way just changed party affiliation to Democrat!

  • sjmom

Those “chuckleheads” just saved the country.

  • notebene

The real “chuckleheads” are the RINOS that are not only not serving their conservative constituents that put them in office, they are guaranteeing their ouster as soon as the next election cycle. Get this Republicans, we didn’t put you there to be the Democrat Lites. We put you there to represent conservative values of financial responsibility. We did not put you there to “get along”! Cut the crap and do your job! Be the “checks and balances” you are supposed to be and reel this out of control dictator back into line!

  • 1tootall

The only ones who have screwed up Congress are those who ignore there oath to uphold the Constitution. The Tea Party members are the ones reminding the GOP that they have grown to look more like the Dems than our founders. Time for Steve to wise up or take off. WE have clearly had enough of those who want to “make nice with the Sharks”. Time to take a stand and let the chips fall where they may.

  • Flim Flam Man.

Both political parties have turned left.

Russia’s Pravda Declares “Communism Won in America with Obama; US Suffering Has Only Begun”

    Read more:

In an extraordinary column last week, Russia’s de facto government press arm declared that the era of “Miss American Pie” was over in the U.S. Citing Obama’s reelection, Pravda stated that the “Communists have won in America…”

Why? Because the US is “an illiterate society” that continues to buy off on Obama’s “lies of less taxes while he raises them.” The US educational system is also held responsible, with Pravda stating that it was “conquered by the Communists long ago and history was revised thus paving the way for their Communist presidents.”

‘the era of “Miss American Pie” was over in the U.S.’? Not if I have anything to say about it!

See what Gerald Celente says is coming up in 2013. He has an amazing record of accuracy.

        Top Trends 2013
War & Peace, An Awakening: Renaissance or Ruin?

This is just one of the things Celente says is coming to America. Read the rest in his up and coming journal. He charges a small fee for all that he offers.

        8. Secession Progression: A year ago, we forecast secession movements springing up around the world. The trend has grown from ripple to groundswell as citizens become increasingly hostile to their unresponsive governments. Following the re-election of Barack Obama in the US, over a million people signed petitions in favor of seceding from the Union. The evidence for a secession trend is obvious, but the media and politicians ignore or deride it.

  • mikeinidaho

And yet another RINO from Ohio is heard from! Don’t like conservatives, moron?
Leave the Republican party and join your communist brethern in the Demunist Party.
    Eff U.

  • 57thunderbird

LaTourette is an irrelevant, washed up,bitter RINO from the 14th district of Ohio(my district)whom we,the conservatives of his district pushed into resigning.Good riddance Stevie boy.

    • WordsFailMe

I’d like to see morons like this get the s*** kicked out of them at the next Town hall.

  • Larchmonter

These are words out of the Statists’ mouth. If the People act, these dinosaurs react. They have no shame, take a Party label in order to get the easy life in Congress, and most don’t care what ideology they adopt. They just want power and ease of life, protected from the stress and pressure of achievement, responsibility and loyalty.

Teach your children well, folks. These “representatives” are scum. Label them as such. You can’t redeem them. Just vote them out.

Our motto should be “two years and out”. They are not worth keeping, none of them.

  • WordsFailMe

Another, metro sexual, bitchy member of the National Socialist Republican Party out of the closet.

  • I am glad he is retiring and I am sorry I voted for him in the past.

  • Just another politician hack who doesn’t want to be accountable to “We The People.” My home state of Ohio is going down the idiot trail these days. Sorry.

  • davienne

tourettes… you aint seen nothing yet… keep up your BS and the tea party can and will unseat you.. you rino piece of crap… grow a pair of man-berries and stand with your employers.. the people… stand with the constitution that you swore to uphold…

  • shukov

Why doesn’t this guy follow Charlie Crist’s lead and just gtfo?

  • jrt1031

    two words……….

career politician………. get rid of the Rhino……..his constituents need to get him off the dole

    • 57thunderbird

Already done.We (Ohio conservatives)pushed him into resignation. He is no longer a congressman. He is apparently still bitter.

  • jrt1031

Its exactly republicans like this that make me see the need for a third party………. I have never thought this and usually move that we just weed the republican party but when you see leadership like Boner and her minions like this clown I say we take a torch and go for a wild fire and start fresh.

    • WordsFailMe

I feel the same way. Possibly we could start a virtual party on the net, take the pulse of the party by voting on issue weekly. If you get identified as as a closet rino or a fifth columnist (Liberal or Democrat) ten times by members, you’re out.

In my experiences Presiding over a medium sized branch of a labor organization, we wielded enormous influence by block voting. The biggest struggles I had were not over issues but over keeping the membership in line to preserve the power of the block vote. We negotiated much with our block.

I Democrat followed me into the presidency and blew it all. Now there like a herd of cats at convention.

  • This CHUCKLEHEAD And Boehner’s’ Congressional Days Are Numbered !
And Progressive RINO Boehner Is My Personal Ohio District Congressman !

  • Rocco11

Obviously this guy sold his soul a long time ago, assuming he ever had one. He wouldn’t know the Constitution from the menu at the Prime Rib at this point…

  • Conniption Fitz

So what happens when LaTourette’s liberal socialists and Obama’s communists/collectivists/progressives run a state or city?

    Detroit and California happens.
1 in 6 Americans on food stamps.
Unemployment and many have even quit looking for work.

What happens when communist/socialists, now called progressives, run a nation?

    Same thing.

See for yourself. Here are comparing East Germany under communism and now: (via Director Blue)

Communism/socialism doesn’t work. It always turns into an oligarchy and an intolerant mind control system…where people are sent to gulags or killed for dissent and fat cats ride around in limos, eat steak and caviar, drink vodka while the rest of people stand in line for bread, beans and cabbage.

Communism is the system of power-mongers, inhumanity, godlessness, envy and greed.

    • Conniption Fitz

We know what happens when Obama’s Islamists run things…
      constant bombings,
      constant power-grabbing, military coups, assassinations,
      genocides, persecutions, torture,
      racial hatred
      Slavery, sex slavery
women: burkhas, living under house arrest, unable to drive, forbidden to go to school, if raped, they are stoned.

The whole Islamist repertoire of hell, misery and death

  • Taurnil Oronar

Thank you Mr. LaTourette for making it clear you are a RINO and your disgust for conservative principles; they are after all the foundation of our country. Why don’t you just switch parties and stop pretending to be a Democrat.

  • hbnolikeee

Oh look it’s Cornel Sander’s love child.

  • stage9

Romney didn’t want to run for president, son says

  • I think LaTourette has Tourette’s and that makes him say such foolish things. Or maybe Boehner of all people’s pulling LaTourettes’s strings?

  • Can you say Libertarian Party? We have to destroy the old Republican Party, which many of you cling to because you hope they will change their liberal leanings. It ain’t gonna happen folks, so free yourself from their grip and start supporting the Constitution!

  • Let’s see Mr. LaTourette, you’ve been in Congress for how long now? All the years the debt was being piled up; all the years taxes were raised; all the years spending was out of control? Tea Party folks just showed up to try and clean up the mess in which you’re responsible for participating. Sounds like you’re the chucklehead?

  • Dino Ierardo

“Chuckle head-ism”, is the inevitable harvest and immminent success of “Idiot-Savant Boomer-ism”; all separate but equally conditioned and infantalized by the,”Whores of Academe” and their, trustingly whelmed and ignorant, “Greatest Generation”, parents (including me).

Ergo, direct from the universal and uni-minded Bi-polar political party of Congress, the,”Republi-Crats”, we see, in the predictive fiction of Orwell, Bradbury and Huxley….and the moving 1984 “Zombie TV adv. intro of Apple’s Macintosh computer: the imminent, final transformation of our constitutional republic via political/ economic and cultural suicide.

It doesn’t take a genius to recognize the two-party D&R system now constitutes the Citizens vs. the Pols: all pols: especially those hirsute, mustachioed-Dandy attention-getter types.
Note how the both parties seem to have an allergenic aversion to the Tea Party folks

My bird dog instincts tell me this is telling me something: I’m just not sure what.

    Here’s to the Chuckle Heads!!!
