Former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani says he’s known a lot of grand juries and says they are always conscientious people swearing an oath to follow the law. He also knows the district attorney in this case and says he is an incredibly fair prosecutor and based on that he believes the grand jury decision was likely correct. However, to make a fair judgment on what actually happened Giuliani said he’d need to read the grand jury transcript which he believes will be made available.
Giuliani blames de Blasio for injecting race into this and creating an atmosphere for protests and violence. He said as mayor, de Blasio should have cautioned people to wait for more information.
Giuliani also has words for Charlie Rangel and Al Sharpton.
