Earlier today Joe Biden said in a speech that “it’s a depression for millions and millions of Americans” which is obviously something that is contrary to Obama’s narrative that we are in a recovery:

Rush believes that Biden knows full well what he is doing and is sending warnings to Obama that if he is replaced on the ticket for VP by someone else, there’s a lot more where this came from:

No, Rush, Biden’s not smart enough to plan ahead like that. He really, honestly and truly, is that big of a buffoon. He is a complete and utter disaster of a VP. I hold him in utter contempt and every time he speaks, he confirms it. The man’s a plagiarist, for crying out loud.

(btw, to my Christian posters, you gotta help me out here with showing respect to authority, knowing the Apostles who wrote that were under Roman rule.)

  • http://www.facebook.com/salvatore.anello Salvatore Anello

Biden has been, and will forever be, a moron and a stooge. Interesting theory, Rush, but I don’t think so.

    • steprock

I agree 100% Rush missed it this time. It’s hard to imagine that the Vice President of the United States of America is a buffoon, but he is. Look at his record of gaffes.

He really thinks he’s helping by sympathizing with people! Remember, his switcheroo on coal? “No, we don’t support coal. What? Oh, right, we do.” He’s always off message.

My theory: he makes Obama look smarter.

  • las1

Oh… so it’s Joe Biden’s grandpa from Scranton who coined that pithy story about a slowdown, recession and depression. I now know to whom I should attribute that maxim… in much the same way I know to whom I should attribute the inventing of the internet. The Dems produce such awesome Vice Presidents!

    • kong1967

He never said his grandpa invented it. He just used the phrase. Gore, on the other hand…..

      • http://twitter.com/ozziecastillo Ozzie

        Well, I don’t think that’s even true.

        • las1

I’m not a Gore fan by any stretch… but I will give him his due. He does get a bad rap on this for sure. He didn’t say he invented it… here’s what he actually said:
“I took the initiative in creating the internet” (:53 sec)

But he said this meaning he helped create the conditions in legislation through the High Performance Computing and Communication Act of 1991. The inventors of the TCP/IP protocol do actually give Gore the credit for the legislation.

          • hbnolikeee

The “I” followed by some minor connective to “creating”. I think it was clear what he meant and he wanted to somehow claim the inet as his brainchild.

You add “…he said this meaning” <<<<<< when I hear someone absurdly suggesting they are telepathic this way, it relegates the "wisdom" to the dubious pile (if you know what I mean).

            • las1

I wish I were telepathic, but no… it’s just context. Much like many people who use the clip of Obama stating “my Muslim faith”. When taken in context Obama is commenting on his critics talking about “my Muslim faith”.

But I do disagree with you on this however. He was involved. But it’s kinda like the spike manufacturer claiming to have been responsible for the locomotive. So as with everything Gore… it’s all about him.

          • http://twitter.com/ozziecastillo Ozzie

Oops, didn’t mean that Gore had nothing to do with the internet- I meant that I don’t think Biden’s grandpa ever said that. I think he just regurgitated the old Reagan line for impact and to relate.

            • las1

Thanks for this… that’s where I first heard it… from Reagan.

        • kong1967

You don’t think it’s true that his grandpa ever told him that? Lol, you’re probably right.

          • las1

Well… who knows for sure? But it’s Biden… that’s your first clue to its authenticity.

Ozzie reminded me it was Reagan who used the proverb… and Biden’s so spineless he pins the plagiarism on grandpop. Biden is just playing Little Satan to Obama’s Big Satan… Obama makes up stories all the time like his mom and pop conceiving him after the march on Selma in 1965. A long list of whoppers is the mark of O’s administration. Why should Joe be any different.

            • kong1967

              True true.

      • las1

Don’t you just love it when Joe gets all folksy… like when he says Republicans will cause more rape and criminality and houses will burn down. So there’s not much he says that you can confidently feel is genuine.

        http://www.christianpost.com/news/biden-i-wish-republicans-knew-what-its-like-to-be-robbed-raped-58785/

        • kong1967

OMG, I couldn’t read the article because the headline was completely ridiculous.

Yeah, you’re right. I’m sure his grandpa never said any such thing.

          • las1

ridiculous but true… it’s a paraphrase summing up what he said…read it. Seeing it on video is Biden histrionics at it best.. or worst.

            • kong1967

Ok, so I read it. Rape is going to go up because you made me read that article. LOL!!!

He said police response will go from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. I don’t know what neighborhood he lives in but 30 minutes seems to be the norm to me, lol (at best).

    • steprock

The President himself made up stories in his own “biography” out of whole cloth!
The Vice President plagiarized speeches, complete with personal stories that never happened.

Hello? Is this mic on? Anyone see a pattern here? The inmates are running the asylum!

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_IDAKYMXLZIRLMLGEZJXV3AOO7E Vorlath

Well… that’s one theory. And it really doesn’t make sense because he’s hurting Obama and if you don’t win, you don’t stay VP. There could be another reasoning behind all this. Maybe Biden DOES want to be replaced because he senses that things aren’t going well.

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

If Biden makes a noise, and there’s no one around who understands it, does he really exist?

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_IDAKYMXLZIRLMLGEZJXV3AOO7E Vorlath

Unfortunately, Biden’s gaffes travel faster than the speed of light, so we see them before they happen. This means that even if we don’t see the actual event, everyone knows it’s happening and can predict its effects.

Is anyone surprised by Biden? No. His stupidity reaches beyond the light cone.

      LOL!!! :D

      • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

Gaffes faster than the speed of stupid!

  • kong1967

Lol, if that’s true then Biden’s a little smarter than I’ve given him credit for.

  • DebbyX

And Joey, YOU are just depressing!

  • NYGino

Another possibility, the regime has pretty much run out of scapegoats. They’ve used Bush and the economy they inherited and the ‘do nothing’ Congress and squeezed as much blame out of them so often that people’s eyes glaze over hearing this.

Time to go to the bench and start bringing in the second stringers and it looks like poor old grandpa up in Scranton is the next up.

Besides, with so many Dems pulling out of the convention, they really new bodies to fill the seats and give appearance that all’s well in Lib town.

  • Nukeman60

Obama has used Biden on several occasions to put forth a point of view. If it falls flat in the polls, he claims Biden is a gaffe master and he moves on. If it flies true, then he picks up on it and runs with it. This is all a gameplan, folks. We saw it with the gay marriage issue, for example. Biden said it. They called it a gaffe. Many people liked it, so then Obama declared his position. Always watch the other hand.

On the other hand, I think I heard Obama declare from his study, after getting up at 10:30 in the morning, “But I inherited Biden. I’m pretty sure Joe is Bush’s fault. Wait, what do the polls say?”

  • FutureOnePercent

I still believe that Obama specifically chose Biden to act as a sort of Doomsday Device to ensure mutual assured destruction against anyone trying to remove him from office prematurely.

As if to say, “Don’t try anything, because trust me, it can still be worse”

Even Democrats know that Biden is a walking disaster.

  • antidrone

Slow Joe Biden. The gift that just keeps on giving.

  • NYGino

It’s Biden’s Grandpa, in Scranton, with the candelabra.

  • steprock

I wish I could just laugh him off, but I DON’T WANT the VP of the USA to be a laughingstock! I don’t care which party he’s in!

At a bare minimum, I want to be able to respectfully disagree with the other party, but we are waaaaay beyond that. We’ve got people talking impeachment, contempt of Congress, giving aid and comfort to our enemies; it’s just sickening.

And then you top it off with this joke of a VP. I’m not laughing.

    • NYGino

steprock, humor aimed at politicians is very effective. It exemplifies, explains and, by exaggeration, exposes the truth. Sometimes the seriousness of the situation is brought out by a good chuckle.

Please understand I’m in no way trying to make light of your concerns, I feel then also.

      • steprock

        Sure sure. I laugh too.

I’m just tired of the crap at this point. I’m tired of foreigners laughing at the USA because of nincompoops like the Veep. What a disgrace! I’m more nauseated than amused at this point is all.

  • aZjimbo

Well for once dummy biden said something of worth. It is a depression for many and guess who is running the country joe?

  • PVG

It is scary how smart Rush is!

  • Sober_Thinking

Biden is really a GOP ninja, waiting to strike. (lol!)

    He is Romney’s “Ace-up-the-Sleave”.

  • drphibes

    Et tu, Joey?

  • jackl92

Even if Rush is right it does no change the fact that O will be out of work soon. On that day I will spike the football.

  • capelady

Only in America can an idiot like this spend his entire adult life with a cushy job in Washington and all the federal perks. WHY do the people of Delaware continue to elect this man? I guess for the same reason the people in NY continue to elect Charlie Rangel.
    Useful idiots!

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/EZJ7XR5XRHJP6Y23GXRMJOFVKM Caddywhumpus Poncho

Or Chuck Schumer. He came right of law school forty years ago into government and has been there continuously ever since. He’s never done anything else.

  • drphibes

Biden is plugged in tight, he won’t be cast aside. He will plug the hole of vote loss. He will plug the white house record with many endorsements and plugs. Plugs, plugs, plugs.

  • drphibes

    Send in the clowns.

    • hbnolikeee

      No need. They’re there.

    • James1754

Biden has been here for years.

  • Boris_Badenoff

Obama will be so desperate that kicking Joe to the curb will definitely be part of the game plan before this is all over..

    • WordsFailMe

On the other hand, a dramatic “end” of Biden involving the Tea Party, before the election, could serve the preezie in several interesting ways. Biden wouldn’t be the first to “take one for the Party.”

Biden has no more value to Obama than a 30-year-old Contraceptive Activist at 1:00 am in a Gerogetown saloon.

      • Boris_Badenoff

        Agreed.
In today’s political world Biden brings nothing to the table.

  • Yazz55

Biden’s primary value to the Obamessiah is assassination insurance. His presence will surely make any potential assassin think twice.

  • bobemakk

The “second idiot” in command. They both $uck.
