Rush says Trump can defeat ‘Deep State’ attacks if he MOVES on his AGENDA items

El Rushbo talked to Chris Wallace, and answered some questions, but ignored some others. He even admitted that he was “tiptoeing” around some questions so as to not to inflame attackers. But the big point, I think, is that Trump will be able to defeat the “Deep State” attacks if he sticks to his agenda and gets some stuff done, specifically, repealing Obamacare and his tax plan.

Watch below:

They define in the video, but for those wondering, the “deep state” is a name for the elements of the government that are allegedly in collusion to keep the power of the state intact, even if it means sabotaging a president. As a historical curiosity, McCain made similar accusations in 2008 against the intelligence agencies.

I think he’s dead right about his main point – if Trump moves on his agenda, especially the very conservative parts of it, he’ll quell some criticism from people like ME, who distrust his promises on the campaign trail. If he keeps sounding like a tinpot dictator railing against the media and the conspiracy working to muss up his toupee while detracting from his ability to pass his agenda, it’ll just prove us right. So stop whining and get to work, as Tapper says.

On the other hand, for those of us disappointed in Rush’s lack of honesty lately, he gives us more ammunition when he answers Wallace’s question about the media by deflecting to what Trump’s supporters think. As if we don’t know that Trump supporters will love the attacks on the media. When Wallace presses him on whether HE actually thinks its a good idea, Rush bloviates for a while. It’s clear he’s afraid of angering Trump and his supporters and will say whatever he needs to in order to please them.

Here are some good short videos if you don’t want to watch the entire interview:
