In a passionate twitter rant last night, S.E. Cupp lit into Slate Magazine for spreading a gay rumor about NFL player O’Dell Beckham because he wouldn’t talk to Lena Dunham. Apparently she got upset and made all sorts of stupid assumptions on why he just stared at his phone instead of chatting with the rotund HBO star.
Really @slate? Trafficking in gay "rumors" now? Just to protect @lenadunham's paranoia? Shame on you. https://t.co/YsDuY8cwLt

There's a rule serious journalism outfits abide by. Don't perpetuate gay rumors. @slate has opted not to be serious. https://t.co/YsDuY8cwLt

Seriously, feminism. Not hitting on a woman means a guy might be "shy" or gay? Go home, you're drunk. https://t.co/YsDuY8cwLt

I also don't take kindly to the participation of a media outlet in outing someone. That's a personal choice. @Slate https://t.co/YsDuY7UVTV

So @Slate would rather gay shame than allow a feminist to go scorned. Sorry, this thing has me livid. https://t.co/YsDuY7UVTV

To suggest a man might be gay because he doesn't hit on a woman perpetuates every homophobic stereotype @slate. https://t.co/WMaVpYNIRr

Sorry, I'm on a tear.

Dude goes to an event. Girl's mad he doesn't talk to her. Girl tells media outlet. Media outlet suggests he's gay. Feel good @Slate?
— S.E. Cupp (@secupp) September 3, 2016
Lucky for @Slate I go on vacay tomorrow. Idk, may have to WERK this anyway. I'm that mad. https://t.co/SZSL5w7g8p

I don't know you, @OBJ_3, but what @Slate said is some ish. You're allowed to not talk to someone, for whatever reasons. Do you.

She retweeted this reaction:
there will be a take down of @Slate by Ms @secupp Gawd Bless America pic.twitter.com/iRUegYdeQ7

Now, here’s what Lena Dunham said:
It really is absurd, I mean have you SEEN Lena Dunham? I would stare at anything else other than her. But then she assumes she knows exactly what’s in his head and what he’s thinking. There could be a million different reasons why he did what he did. But of course, feminists know everything, right?
