Sequestration: Air Force Academy cancels July 4th celebration

Independence Day is cancelled. To be replaced by President Obama's Dependence Day. Billions of EBT cards will be flown on vegetable oil powered jetfighters and shot from sidewinder missile shells. They will be released upon the people in celebration of Dependence Day. You will smile. You will applaud.

Who believes a damned thing out of the fool's mouth.  He is a dyed in the wool jackas.

But....but......they've just outlawed magazines holding 15 rounds or more......c'mon.

The Air Force Academy is in Colorado. Maybe they're afraid of another Columbine or Aurora Theater shooting on the campus.  Up, Up and away, you dashing soldiers!

Emotional blackmail is what community organizers are best at.

Whatever, punk! Cut away, you piece of dogdirt. We the People will not back down on this.

As a matter of fact, CUT MORE!!! But don't you dare cut any of your vacations!  

And how much could have been saved by Obama NOT going to Israel??? Think of what the cost of THAT was. Hmmm, don't we have the United Nations right here in New York City? Seems as good a place as any to conduct international business, and you get the people to come TO YOU. Unless, that is, you're only going to Israel for a photo op, which is what Obama's trip really is all about.

This is yet another slap in the face to our military.

It's just another way to neutralize our Armed Forces, to make room for his Security Force.

This will backfire on them because the people are already blaming the white house and the government in general for these forced deprivations. The majority knows that Obama was responsible for the sequestration cuts and they are wise to this scorched earth policy of his to try and vindicate his false rhetoric about the sequestration. Since government is run by many people of differing political opinions, there will always be whistle blowers willing to expose the lies.

Just hope that the populace's anger turns into huge defeats for the status quo in 2014.

This current President and his fat wife are about the most ridiculous represesentation of the Freedom our Founders envisioned, that could be possibly imagined.  At best, it can only be described as a Comedy.  A joke, if you will.   But comedies and jokes have an end.  This current thing we are living with, seems to have no end, so I guess all we can call it, is a nightmare.  But even a nightmare goes away with the light of day.  But i wake up, and he's still here. Still the Imposter President of this great nation.

Beyond a bad nightmare, what is the next level?

I'm sorry, but you have a Muslim for a President.  Get used to it.

Ironic. The job of the military is to maintain freedom and independence, but won't be allowed to celebrate Independence Day. The holidays and their meaning are rapidly being  eroded.

I don't  often respond to all of your comments, but I do read them.  My time here in the evening is limited.  Precious, in fact. But  coming here in the evening and reading your comments, is one thing I look forward to every day.  I hope that means something to some of you.  I try not to make idle comments on this site.  Its a good place to be in the evening.

As I have often said, the problem is not Obama.  The problem is the populace who listens to him, and gives him a pass.  Because of the good work the Liberals and Progressives have done, there are not many  intelligent Americans left among us.

That is why we are so dangerous as a group, and why they are trying to stifle us, or better yet, get rid of us altogether.

This is the most manipulative president in our History.  He is able take even the most miniscule event, and turn it into something to help him with his agenda.   This man is The Devil Himself.

All they have to do is look at all the Fraud, Waste and Abuse that happens on a yearly basis.  Why else did I have steaks in October but at no other time?  They were making sure the budget they had wouldn't be cut because they didn't use it all.

This is political staging.   Taking advantage of current events, in order to move along your agenda.   This is what Liberals and Democrats do.  Look for even the slightest thing, and add it to your bag of tricks to confuse your opponent.  Problem is, it works.  Why?  Because the general population of this country have been so, "dumbed down," that they will believe anything Liberals say.

You have to admit, they do know how to play the game.

So what has to be cut now in order to pay for the repairs to the POS' limo that was loaded with the wrong fuel?  Taking the soldiers away from the Tomb of the Unknown?  No more wreaths?

So is it just me or is anyone else asking why they are cancelling a 4th of July celebration when it's only March.  Will sequester last until July; one could only hope so the next generationS don't have as much debt to repay.

To Obama, sequestration is a tool, to be used like any other at his disposal.  Muchelle says, "This is the first time I have been proud of my country?"  I would follow that comment with, "This President and his administration, is the first time I have been ashamed of my country."

Let's use this year as a baseline and cut 5% every year for the next 10 years. Also have a 10 year hiring freeze.

That's just plain WRONG!

How much do you want to bet Martha's Vineyard or private Beyonce parties with walls lined with gold and champagne bottles! A disgrace that this man sits in the same chair (promptly at 11 a.m. and out by noon!) as Lincoln, Washington, or Reagan. We have put a permanent black stain on this nation!!

Don't forget to cancel Christmas.

The Air Force Academy may cancel their celebtation, but that's no reason not to celebrate.  Colorado Springs probably has a big fireworks display. 

My husband and I were returning from the Air Force Academy one summer and since we were traveling we had not noticed what day it was.  We were going through Illinois on I-70 about dusk and were treated to many fireworks displays around dusk.  Each town had their own displays and for an hour we were delighted to see at least 6 different displays while traveling.  So don't let a little thing like Obama keep you from celebrating the 4th of July.  There are plently of people out there that still love their country.

These Statist's dogs can't stand one dime cut from there crony-monopoly. 

I'd say the Lt.Col. is now eligible for a medal for actions below the call of duty.  The medal will not have the "V" device for valor, but the "P.C." device for political subservience to the progressive democrat agenda. 

If obama is so worried about the budget, he could always put his pay for the next four years into things that are being cut. I'm sure I read somewhere that he said he had plenty of money. No president has ever cared so little for our country as this guy.

The electricity in this White House should be turned off before the Fourth is cancelled anywhere.

Thank goodness Barry has his sequester priorities straight we've got to find out why lebos drink too much and are fing fat.
