This is how bad it is having Trump as the Republican nominee for president. A normal complement that any Congressman or Senator should be able to give our nominee must be walked back…because Trump!
POLITICO – New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte said she “misspoke” earlier Monday night when she said she would “absolutely” point to Donald Trump as a role model for children.
“I misspoke tonight,” Ayotte wrote in a statement. “While I would hope all of our children would aspire to be president, neither Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton have set a good example and I wouldn’t hold up either of them as role models for my kids.”
Ayotte is in a very tight race and opponent has already put her words in a new ad:
It’s pretty sad when Republicans speaking highly of the Republican nominee gets turned into an attack ad.
