CNN host Brooke Baldwin tried to defend Obama, Holder and De Blasio over criticisms made by Sheriff David Clarke that their rhetoric has been completely irresponsible, playing sound clips of them praising police and then suggesting that’s what they’ve been saying all along.
But this Sheriff was having none of that, telling her they were talking out of both sides of their mouths and that she needed to play clips of the examples he gave of the irresponsible rhetoric made by these elected officials.
He cited twice, as an example, how disgusted he was that Obama himself would say that cops have a fear of people who don’t look like them.
He also slammed De Blasio for the comments he made yesterday throwing the NYPD under the bus for turning their backs on him. He explains why that was a show of honor for the slain officers and suggested whoever is advising De Blasio is doing a terrible job.
