Friday O/T Giggle Snort of the week!…(Closer to reality than need be)…..

      What Is Politics?

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, “What is politics?”

Dad says, “Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I’m the breadwinner of the family, so let’s call me capitalism. Your Mom, she’s the administrator of the money, so we’ll call her the Government. We’re here to take care of your needs, so we’ll call you the people. The nanny, we’ll consider her the Working Class. And your baby brother, we’ll call him the Future. Now, think about that and see if that makes sense,”

So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what dad had said.

Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parents’ room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny’s room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed. The next morning, the little boy says to his father, “Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now.”

The father says, “Good son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.”

The little boy replies, “Well, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in deep poo.”

      • Mythslayer

I suppose this joke works if we’re discussing China and their communist version of capitalism.
Guess I’m too literal as the joke doesn’t work with the true meaning of the words. “Capitalism” doesn’t scr*w the working class (pardon the previously used vernacular) Government interference does that.
In a true “free market”, capitalism is an exchange of wealth. One person exchanges what he has for something another person wants to exchange. So, perhaps you can see how I don’t understand how a person gets scr*w** in such an amicable exchange.
These two sites are pretty good for more explanation.

      • Mythslayer

…Government. We’re here to take care of your needs
Ah, LOL, Sorry. I missed the cradle to the grave reference, that changes the perspective.

  • ahahahahaha…..that is awesome!!!!

    • BlueGood

I love it…will send LINK of this one to all my Conservative friends on list!

BTW….We only got about 6 inches of snow in that storm here in Ottawa Valley…SO FAR….another 10-15 expected.

I was out since 5 am helping a buddy do his Snow Removal Contracts in two huge honkin’ Tractors….LOL….Wish I could use one of ’em to accidentally on purpose run over a Libtard’s car….(OMG did I type that out loud????)

Any Scoopers hit by that Storm??

  • Rob_Bryant

    Hey, I love PBR!

    Anyway, funny stuff hehe

  • LMAO Classic!!!!!

  • Outstanding. Great follow-up to Dr. Carson’s thousand cuts to Obama speech yesterday and this, some hope is restored.

I had read (and suspected) that almost all of the Occupy Wall Street vermin were white sons and daughters of well off liberal parents, who have supported their craziness for years, just more of the same.

Bill Ayers was heard to say, “If I had a son, he’d look like an Occupier.”

From a comment at the American Thinker. I thought this deserved to be shared.

God bless ’em…right upside the head.

I just came up with a new plumbing product. Toilets that look like cop cars. My dream is that they’ll be featured as Blue Light Specials (get it?) at K-Mart, Home Depot and Ace Hardware.

    Uh huh…mo’ money!

    Chuh, chuh…ching, ching, kerplop!

    Oh crap!

Could someone put out an all points bulletin for Mr. Whipple please.

    I’m just gonna sit tight.

  • las1

“…cause they don’t have a worthless PHD in seventeenth Belgium Lesbian studies…” Money can’t buy a statement like that. Absolutely priceless

    • Rshill7

      Potty mouth.

    • Dukehoopsfan

I have a niece who has a similar PHD what she hoped to do with it. The response … “I dunno, teach maybe”.

      • 3seven77

        “Those who can’t do, teach.”

        • Dukehoopsfan

Correct but the part that is troubling is what they teach.

Must have been Allah who made the Left because they’re always wrong. God made the Right because He’s always right. 🙂

On the O/T Gotta love Chicago… maybe they’re doing something right.

    Canada Cool… Who knew?

Land of the north, Chicago is calling to you. Calling your sesame bagels, smoked meat and Tim Hortons double-doubles [and your maple syrup and your poutine… ohhh your poutine]. Calling your low rates of gun crime, and universal health care. Calling your oil, especially your oil. We hope some of that Canadian good fortune rubs off on our city.

    Editorial Chicago Tribune,0,2792849.story

P.S. I did have to gag when all those Canucks gathered at the Canadian Embassy for OZero’s inauguration. Hopefully they are as dumb as America’s low information voters who voted for the fraud-in-chief. Maybe they didn’t even know who America’s President is. I hope that’s the case.

  • 4Hoppes2

Well, that was no less than Outstanding!!! To quote the great G.K. Chesterton ” If it were not for God there would be no atheists” Also applies to liberals.
O/T about Benghazi, did anyone ask why Blue Mountain security was tasked with the embassy security? From their own website they state they specialize in armed and Un-armed security!
Another note of some interest the bullet manufacturers Sierra, has a notice on their website claiming the across the board ammo shortage is NOT a result of Law Enforcement or Military purchasing. Where does DHS fall in that maze of government alphabet soup agencies, and why another 20 million plus bid?

  • anneinarkansas

Be sure to read Peggy Noonan today in WSJ…on Real Clear Politics and Hot Air.
She refers to the wonderful Paul Harvey ad and then talks about Steve Croft on 60 Minutes illustrating that God Made a “Fawner”! Great take on the situation we have here now with the State Run Media.

    • las1

      God Made a Fawner….

      Ha… love it.

  • notsofastthere

This would be the best campaign ad ever. Turn the tables and embarrass the Liberals for a change (if that is at all possible)

  • Nukeman60

‘…demand, screech, and scream sexist, intolerant, xenophobic, homophobic, islamaphobic, racist bigot…’

Sounds like the rants of just about every troll that enters these hallowed pages of Scoopville.

To add to the enjoyment, my daughter-in-law sent me this letter to the editor of a North Carolina newspaper from a liberal who wished to be nameless (for obvious reasons). I laughed my butt off and was glad he didn’t post it here, as the responses would have been hard for moderators to control.

This is what we have to combat each and every day. Is it any wonder we appear angry to them?

    Beaufort, N.C.

    Jan. 17, 2013

Republicans and “so-called” conservatives are at it again. They are claiming that the Constitution gives people the right to have guns without the permission of the government. If that were true, then how could New York and Chicago have laws against it?

We Democrats are sick and tired of Republicans constantly using the Constitution to cover up their true plans, which are to make us all afraid of everyone else. Our great president came from a civilized part of the country where there is strict gun control, and he is only trying to bring the benefits of that more modern way of living to the rest of us. I don’t know the exact statistics, but I’m quite certain that Chicago is a lot safer that [sic] Morehead City, when it comes to gun violence.

But do Republicans and conservatives listen to the voice of reason? No, of course not. All they want to do is whine and complain about how gun control and wealth redistribution violate the Constitution, as if the Constitution were all that great, anyway. There are a lot of things that need to be changed about the Constitution, I’d say, and President Obama needs to change it.

The Republicans are just trying to stand in the way, because the president is black. They even dared to question whether he was born in this country. I think all this demonstrates that the Constitution needs to be amended when it comes to the qualifications for being president. Right now, it says that a person has to be 35 years old and be a natural born citizen. Well, that is obviously unfair because there are a great many otherwise qualified people who cannot run for president because their mothers had to have a C-section. But because the Constitution was written a hundred years ago, nobody even thought of the discrimination that would result from a doctor having to deliver a baby in this unnatural way. Now that we Democrats are in control of the government, that’s just one more thing we should change in our drive to make life fair.

Please withhold my name because I don’t want to get crank calls.

I realize there isn’t a single sentence that doesn’t need taken apart, but at least it’s good for a laugh. Here’s the link, if anyone wanted to read the comments as well.

    • las1

Ha… double Ha… I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

      • Rshill7

If you are a C-section baby you can’t be a “Natural Born” Citizen silly.

This makes a lot of since.

This letter is so dumb I almost suspect it a plant from a conservative who realizes how dumb libs are.

        • las1

Yeah but the founders were really far sighted thinkers. They knew that a C section was just around the corner.

        • las1

And besides, I still think it’s discriminatory since I’m one of those in the C-Section group… Canadian-Section. I’d love to run for President… I’d think I’d do a better job than the joker in the job right now.

          • NYGino

A wilted head of lettuce would do a better job than him.

    • Rshill7

“U.S. Constitution written 100 years ago.”

This person wouldn’t get crank calls Nuke. They’d get laugh tracks on continuous loop.

It opens up entirely new vistas and landscaping fields of ignorance.

Did you send a copy to Ripley’s?

      • Nukeman60

I’m afraid Ripley’s would reject it, saying “Believe it or not? NOT“.

    • NYGino

      Nukeman, this is either:
A – The definitive example of liberal projection or
B – A great piece of sarcasm or
C – The rantings of a typical Dem voter

Love the way he ends the letter by saying he’s proud to be a Democrat but yet he doesn’t want anybody to know who he is.

      • Nukeman60

Yeah, I agree with your points. It may well be a hoax, but it certainly is the way many liberals think. At any rate, it’s worth a morning laugh.

    • Our great president came from a civilized part of the country where there is strict gun control, and he is only trying to bring the benefits of that more modern way of living to the rest of us. “Civilized” part of the country??????
      “Chicago is a lot safer”?????

Can i get what he/she is smoking!!!!!

  • BeyondPolls

God doesn’t ‘make’ anybody liberal, but I get the point.

  • colliemum

That was great, totally spot on.

Perhaps some PAC can keep it and run it at the next election, again and again, everywhere …

  • Rocco11

The Left is a malignant tumor on the healthy Conservative host body…

  • This is the squeal to God made an idiot…

  • Soopermexican is awesome!

  • johnos2112

Again I would love to see a 2 hour debate with a panel of Limbaugh, David Barton, Marl Levin, Glenn Beck and a true common sense theologian against ANY panel of liberals. Make it a pay per view event prime time on say a Thursday night. It would be fascinating to see the truth come out! I make this point because I see the decay of our society, at this video clearly shows, and people need to hear the truth. The conservatives would absolutely destroy these people and I would not give a damn who the narrator was. It would not matter. I know the left would not agree to it, but it would be fun to watch!

  • Army_Pilot1967

I think Soopermex nailed it perfectly….. How can anyone stoop to being a liberal? I know some, but I sure don’t understand them. I can’t figure out what’s going on in their brain. I’ve tried to understand some that I worked with after I retired from the Army, but after several years of trying, I finally had to give them up as hopelessly lost souls.

    • waytngtym

Need to do some personal interviews with ones who have crossed over.

  • poljunkie

Great timing, my ultra liberal sister who I haven’t talked to since 2008, when she had enough of my “stupidity” (after an adulthood of arguing politics) and deemed me unworthy of her time….left me a voice mail due to a death in the family.

She then took the opportunity, in a return email to remind me that many of our relatives disapprove of my political choices, and that a Grandmother (that I never met) would most likely dislike me.

Looks like it’s going to be another four years.

    • Nukeman60

Just remember that you most certainly are doing something right, if a liberal relative takes the time out of their busy entitlement life to tell you how wrong you must be. 🙂

      • poljunkie

Thanks NM. My husband says to me- after 20+ years of her disparaging me- why do I even care any more, and why do I even respond? I keep thinking I will change her mind, but I guess that will never happen.

        • Nukeman60

It’s the goodness within you that always hopes for reconciliation with a relative. Sometimes, however, it just never happens.

Sadly, I know this from my own experience, being related to liberal family members. I can attest to the fact that liberalism and conservatism does not stem from the DNA.

        • DebbyX

Ditto on the husband input and your way of thinking about it.

They are never going to change.

          But I’ll die tryin’

    • DebbyX

You’ve got one of them too?! I too have a distant sister, we disagree on everything. But mostly………..ancient history. See, I remember the way things were, and she makes it up to fit her own version of the story. It’s tough arguing with insanity. I have a medical problem of late. So she calls to wish me happy birthday (which in itself was shocking) and she proceeds to make up an imaginary woman with the same exact problem as me. WHAT A COINCIDENCE! I didn’t know if I should kill her or hug her. I did neither.

      Thanks for listening…………….

      • poljunkie

I hope you’re back to your old self soon Debby.
Mine does the same. She “remembers” things my dad said or did. I just dont remember having a pony.

        • DebbyX

          LOL! 🙂

    • chatterbox365

I also got one of them….a sister. Unfortunately she is my only sibling. She doesn’t vote and is non-political, but she likes to put people down and is always bragging about her material things. I struggled a lot as a young adult and she would always rub in my face about all the things she had and what I didn’t have. I’m much better off financially now and she doesn’t want to hear it. She lives 45 minutes from me and I have only seen her 4 times over a six year period.

We never had a close relationship…ever. In high school, I was a freshman and she was a senior and she would tell people I wasn’t her real sister because I was adopted. I was completely blown away when that got back to me. My mom said my sister has always been jealous of me and she doesn’t know why she never got passed it.

I have mixed feelings about all this because I don’t understand her behavior, but I don’t feel a sense of loss since I never had a sister relationship with her. We shared a room, but it was like bunking with the enemy and I always kept one eye open.

I have friends who embrace me more like family than my own kin. People in my family better hope I never decide to write a book.

      • poljunkie

Oh wow. Im so sorry that you have had that kind of pain.
The older I get, the less I am willing to take – I often wonder why these kind of people like to be so hurtful?

        • conservativemama

They are miserable people who need to share the misery, inflict it on others. And you’re right, the older you are the more focused you get. You know that time is precious and you will not give it to people who bring you pain.

        • chatterbox365

conservativemama hit it right on…misery loves company. We reach a point where we just say “f**k it” and move on. And unhappy peeps can’t stand happy peeps.

I come from a family littered with freeloading democrats. Some of the videos The Scoopster uploads here remind me so much of my relatives. How I managed to escape that mental prison is beyond me. Perhaps I was adopted or switched as a baby…LOL!

Since this is an O/T ~ And this made me smile at the thought of Karl Rove being proven as a liar…

Levin’s twitter feed is on fire right now regarding ‘The Architect’s’ claims that he worked for Reagan in the ’80 election. Mark Levin doesn’t remember him – and he was indeed a Reagan staffer. According to Reagan biographer, Craig Shirley, there is nothing to substantiate that claim and in fact it looks like Rove worked for Bush Sr’s camp before getting fired. Oops…

Funny stuff. But somehow I’d doubt that Paul Harvey would approve.

There are things you don’t do. You don’t tug on Superman’s cape, don’t grab the mask of the Lone Ranger and you don’t try to parody Paul Harvey.
