Steve Deace was on MSNBC this morning where he predicted a delegate fight over Trump as the nominee at the convention in July. Deace said so many delegates are talking to him or talking amongst themselves, that’d he’d be surprised if there wasn’t a fight to replace Trump as the nominee.
Deace isn’t predicting the success of the fight, but is certainly making clear to delegates that he believes they are our only hope to save us from Trump.

Should the delegates prevail at ousting Trump as the nominee, it’s gonna be bloody. And after that much blood I don’t see how we could ever win in November. Maybe that’s worth saving the party to many. Going forward, though, I believe it will also damage future Republican Presidential primaries, with many bowing out because they believe their votes no longer matter.
There will be consequences to this. The question is will those consequences be worth it in the end.
