Surprisingly, liberal MSNBC loon Lawrence O’Donnell made a very good argument as to why comparisons like the one Obama made of ISIS to the KKK and Jim Crow laws are just not meaningful ones.

His main point is that the scale is completely different, and he’s right. Lynchings by the KKK number in the thousands but deaths by ISIS and other radical Islamic groups are far greater. He also points out that the KKK committed their acts of atrocity based on race, while ISIS does it on the basis of religion. He seems to ignore that the KKK lynched many whites, but that might have been for brevity’s sake, as they did so for racialist reasons even when targeting whites.
Pretty good arguments from someone that’s usually an idiot.
