So we are to believe that Susan Rice is smart enough to be Secretary of State, but too stupid to fall for the "video" cover up when she had access to all the necessary intelligence and supposed "common sense" to make a rational assessment? Sorry, Susan. Objections to your candidacy for SoS appointment was not because you are a woman or because you are black. It is because you are stupid. Harsh, yes, but it was harsh for you to perpetuate a lie on American citizens as to the reason other Americans were murdered. And you still don't see it. Shame.
Even scarier is the fact that she is being considered for a National Security Advisor position inside the White House that would not require confirmation. If you ever needed confirmation that Obama is out to destroy the country the fact that Ms Rice still has any job is proof and the fact that she is being considered for security advisor is the nail in the coffin
I don't remember which 'situational hypocrite' female talking head was saying tonight that the Republicans wouldn't confirm her because she was a 'female of color'.
Sec. of State Condoleezza Rice (R) was a 'female of color'? Sec. of State Colon Powell (R) was a 'male of color'.

She didn't fold on it; she was folded out of it. The pretender knows her nomination will shine too much light on Benghazi and though he doesn't appear to be bothered by it, he is. Rice's shiny head will pop up again down the road.

Mrs Rice who sent you out on a Sunday morning TV media programs to lie to the American people about the terrorist attack that killed 4 Americans including Ambassador Chris Stephens on 9-11-2011. Susan, I don't care who you blame for your dropping out, as long as you just drop out. You don't deserve the position and a blind man (especially a color blind one) could easily see that. You say the position of Secretary of State should never be politicized. Well, it should never be dumbed-down either and with you out of the running, it may just be saved for a qualified person.

Can't wait to see what Rice will say under oath when she's forced to testify before Congress. That ought to be fun. Somebody is going to crack here and rat somebody else out. Rice could rat out Hillary, but that would be suicidal on her part. She we only do it if she thought she was facing real jail time for perjury. And then there is Petraeus. I'm sure he still has a story to tell about Benghazi and the aftermath regarding the video. Rice was dumped because the White House didn't want to litigate Benghazi all over again in the Senate confirmation hearings. Too bad they'll still be forced to do it after the State Department's report comes out, which is soon.
If that's the case, then this is one example of partisan politics working to benefit this great nation. Amen!

The position of National Security Advisor has been put out there as being under consideration, a position that does not require Senate approval.
A partisan hack that has the googly eyes for "the one" as filter and controller of information on 10s of millions of Americans......that's going to work out well. The only reason to put someone like that in that position is to do a lot of bad things w/o fear of it ever getting out.

Great part of the confirmation process would have been an extensive investigation regarding Rice's involvement in the Osama bin Laden-gate during the Clinton's administration, where she blocked valuable information from CIA, blaming the agency thereafter. This woman perfectly knows that she has lots of dirt under the carpet and doesn't want to fully destroy her career, so she is looking now for other "options"........
Besides her "questionable past", her present is even more disqualifying. She exaggerated her role as loyal useful idiot with her Sunday-lies-marathon. And all those who are using her gender and color to defend her, are actually disqualifying her.
I don't like her letter to Obama because she is not accepting any responsibility but blaming others for her own actions. Her argument that the choice of one of the most important political jobs shouldn't be about politics is a big contradiction. But I understand that the only language she knows is “political trade“: I go to the sunday shows and you give me some bacon.......

Rice did not fail. She did exactly what she was told to do. The new media dug up her racist past and blasted it all over the internet and enough people were paying attention!

Why am I not excited? Perhaps it's because the administration is always finding even more inappropriate appointees to take her place. I think she's the squirrel we were all watching while they were setting up the real nominee. Anything involving this administration makes me paranoid and pessimistic. Wait a minute...I know why...experience!
