Symbol of Failure: New Romney web ad hammers Obama over Solyndra, calls it ‘crony capitalism’

Romney’s ad team has to be the best in the business because this ad hammering Obama over Solydra is awesome. And at the end, Romney himself labels it as crony capitalism which is even better:

As a bonus, here’s Romney’s new ad focusing on what will be different about a Romney presidency:

  • This tactical offense by Mitt Romney – him at Solyndra while his team heckled Axelrod – really enthuses me. Boy I am impressed! May we have some more please, sir? Go Mitt!!

    • RighteousCrow_JustCaws

Hey Ramparts…do you live anywhere near the Bay Area? That looks like a busy highway running right past Solyndra building…someone might hang a rampart from the building commenting on Obama’s crony capitalism and 1100 jobs lost.

      • WordsFailMe

Or maybe some civic minded group of patriots could rent a bill board nearby and show Obama with a big “SE Grin” on the front of that foul skull.

  • BSScoop

OLoser is in deep. The Jimmy Carter kinda deep where future group pictures of living presidents will show Hussein separated from the rest sucking on his thumb in the corner of the frame while reading his own autobiography and talking to himself.

Unemployment up a tick, Eurozone falling apart, Operation Twist coming to a close…This economy is as predictable as the weather in Hawaii. The Fed will hold off on QE3 for a while, that is until the Dow starts dropping by hundreds of points a day like last summer. We have no economy, it’s inflation from
here out. If Romney wins this thing and puts the brakes on the Fed’s actions, he’ll unleash a massive recession that his presidency won’t survive. You think Occupy was violent? You ain’t seen nuthin. If he rehires Helicopter Ben Bernank to press ctrl-P at the Fed, we’ll hyperinflate into oblivion.

Nice ad, Romney. Be careful, you might win this thing.

    Don’t Tread On Me

    • badbadlibs

I was getting excited until I read your reply…yikes, is there anything anyone can do at this point?

      • BSScoop

No. The damage is done and I fear the final nail will come during a Romney presidency and conservative ideology will be to blame in the eyes of far too many. Hussein would run again in 2016 (if the republic still exists) and he’ll put a stranglehold on freedom for the rest of our lives.

We’ll have a narrow window of time to institute new government. If we fail, God help us.

I have the flu….I’m going back to bed….

          • Get well soon! We need ya! 🙂

            • badbadlibs

Thanks Whitewolf 🙂 I seem to be feeling better this evening.

    • I think your words of warning are well pointed. There is no doubt that a certain amount of self-austerity measures have got to be instituted ASAP.

This is the difference, in Greece the people rioted because they were losing their benefits. In America the Tea Party (Austerity on steroids!) emerged and swept the land.

We have to have faith there are still enough federalists and constitutionalists who understand there is no such thing as a free lunch we can weather the storm.

      • BSScoop

Faith is right. The Tea Party is only about a third of the country. Interestingly, that’s about the same ratio who were in favor of the first revolution! There were many who wanted to remain subjects of King George’s throne and many who didn’t really care. You’ve asked the perfect question…Are there enough of us to turn this around when the SHTF? God, I hope so.

  • conservative58

YES — Awesome ads! Romney’s campaign team needs to keep these coming non-stop til November. BO has certainly given them enough material to use.
    Great job!

  • I have to say… Although I started out lukewarm to be kind, I’m starting to warm to Romney. Not just support him because he’s ABO. These ads and the personal stories I’m learning about his character. I’m impressed. He truly seems to be a nice guy who’s heart is in the RIGHT place for America!

  • 911Infidel

Nah. The best thing that Romney did was when confronted about his supporters drowning out David BrokenAxleThrownRod, he told the press basically to “sod off.” Obama’s people do that to him all the time. Shoe’s on the other foot now…a$$holes. About time.

    • FutureOnePercent

I’m shocked, but he might actually be playing this perfectly… Not afraid to attack, but leaving the fringe things to the PACs to hammer Obama.

At the end of the day, it can’t be said that Mitt didn’t focus almost entirely on the economy, while Obama still gets exposed as the radical socialist he is.

I believe this maneuver is known as the “flank” hahaha.

      • 911Infidel

Definitely un-John Mclame of him. Oh yeah, he just outflanked the media, tossed in a couple of hand grenades and uh, took the hill.Very unexpected.

  • Joseph ewing

Another nice ad. Keep ’em coming Mitt.

“Thank you sir, may I have another.”

  • Solyndra 1,100 workers laid off… $550m tax payer dollars wasted…

Keystone oil pipeline blocked! 20 THOUSAND jobs denied! No taxpayer money would have been wasted! Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee, declared that Obama “has sacrificed 20,000 American jobs and an affordable, secure energy source simply to please his liberal base.”

Mitt Romney: Keystone XL Pipeline Will Be Approved On My First Day In White House.

Obama doesn’t care… America Despairs! Romney CARES! America RECOVERS!!!

  • c4pfan

Hey scoop, it says ‘hamming’ and not ‘hammering’. Thanks for posting the ad!

  • johnos2112

You know what else is crony capitalism folks? When an administration says that there is job growth WHEN over 300,000 people on average have filed for unemployment EVERY WEEK since Obama has been in office. This is insane for ANYONE to have any vested interest in voting another term for this clown. If you do the math of what I just noted that equates to over46 million unemployment claims in over 3 years! How in the hell is that progress? 300K in 52 weeks is15.6 million claims in one year folks! ONE YEAR!

  • Hmmmm. Nice “one-two” by the Romney team! (Maybe they are fighters after all??!)

  • But wait a minute…”Crony Capitalism”, now where have I heard THAT before?? Oh, yes! It entered the mainstream lexicon last September in Indianola, IA when Sarah Palin lambasted the entire establishment and demanded SUDDEN and RELENTLESS REFORM. Well, at least Romney knows where to find great ideas!

  • I never thought I could be made into a Mitt Romney fan, but these ads and his latest maneuvers re: Axelrod&Co. are really doing it for me!!

  • kong1967

He might wind up being an excellent leader. I hope so, because we need one really bad.

    • No matter how bad he does… He could NEVER be as bad as NObama… For one thing, he will work FOR the advancement and strength of America… not AGAINST it!

      • kong1967

I completely agree, and we need someone that won’t veto every bill from a Republican congress that attempts to reverse the damage. I am VERY confident Romney won’t do that (veto).

        • I feel like we’re all under a severe storm watch… Desperately trying to survive… Listening to every weather report…. Hoping for better news… Looking towards November with an air of desperation! With hope in my heart that there is still something worth saving by then and that we can still vote in an election!

To SAVE AMERICA!!! I have never been so depressed about the state of the nation since NObama took over… I feel like that song by Bonnie Tyler… I need a HERO!!!

          • kong1967

That’s a good song and I listened to it just for the pleasure of the music. So true, we need a hero.

  • Sober_Thinking

Good ad. Somebody is feeding this guy good information.

    • FutureOnePercent

      He must be reading RS…

    • wodiej

an adviser/strategist can be the difference between winning and losing.

  • drphibes

I like the template this campaign is using. Positive imagery. Focus on the bleak present and record. Standing in front of a shuttered Solyndra was brilliant.

    • PVG

This is how adults do things!

  • wodiej

“the president fails to understand the basic concept of free enterprise.”-THAT IS IT RIGHT THERE. All Romney has to do is to keep pounding the message w simple facts. Details on job numbers, the unemployed etc. This was another good one. I personally do not think it will be that difficult to beat Obama. Whether you like Romney or not, he does know about business.

  • sandynsavannah

    And hope springs up anew….

  • SaraPFan

Crony Capitalism: The phrase Sarah Palin mentioned last Labor Day and revived the phrase. Good note keeping Mitt.

    • PVG

      You betcha!

  • V

First and foremost, what an “exceptional” website!!!  First time commenter, few month reader per link a while back (sister to the drudge report??)

I absolutely love the simplicity of the website format, yet VERY powerful stories that are dare I say awesome!  And the comments that I have come to read and know are informative, passionate, sarcastic, funny, and sincere. It really IS “The Right Scoop” family I have come to know and like.

I’ am beyond impressed with Mitt Romney’s Ads. Whomever is behind those ads is genius.. Lets just pray him into office and Obama out.

As a Catholic Conservative, Mitt has my vote. Regardless of religion, he is the right man for this time….  The world is at a very ugly place- lets make sure we fight for our children’s future and get back what God has planned for us.
