Tea Partier invades Occupy San Diego – chaos ensues

This is the most entertaining OWS video you will see all day. A Tea Partier decided to pay a visit to Occupy San Diego, with a megaphone, and what results is just short of chaos. It’s very entertaining:

  • I want to give this guy a high five!!!

  • And that, folks, is schizophrenia.

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001925/

He talks about fiscal issues, like paying your way through life, and they talk about gay sex, skin color and the reconquista movement. That’s like trying to compare the 500m performance of the BFG (yes, there really is a weapon called the BFG)

    http://www.serbu.com/top/bfg50.php

and your average 12 gauge shotgun.

    No contest.

    • I disagree with your comparison since the BFG and a 12 gauge are both guns. I think it’s more like comparing the BFG to frog poop. It would take a brain riddled with syphillis to connect the two.

  • Friggin stupid-

No reason to add fuel to the situation. They should just let it burn out on its own. Stirring things up doesn’t help us, it helps them.

    • Anonymous

No it doesn’t. Stupid becomes institutionalized unless it’s recognized for what it is. It doesn’t burn out. It becomes normal. Never, ever pass up the chance to call out the stupid.

      • Rephrase: If anything happens, it will help them-

Who will be exposed to their stupidity? Do you think the MSM will run with it, or conservative blogs. It will only make the rounds here and there on the web, but not anywhere that reaches the “moderates/independents” [edit: the uninformed majority in the middle], who ultimately decide these things. This kind of information has been out for weeks, but you still see polling that shows this group to be more sympathetic than the tea party (although the numbers are dropping as they’re wearing out their welcome- I’m saying, let them self-destruct on their own)….no need to get into the mud with them.

      • Jus

You should have used “stupidity” rather than “stupid”

The noun would have been much more appropriate. Sorry if I’m being too formal, just didn’t want to pass on my chance…

    • Never pass the opportunity to show this movement for what it is… the lazy, malcontents from the “everyone gets a trophey” generation having a fit.

      • It’s like no one has learned anything—- bringing attention (especially negative, because remember, they see us as [capitalists] the enemy) will re-motivate them. You want them discouraged and without hope so that they go home because if they believe they are making a difference, they will never leave. Aside from that obvious crap, they are looking to entice the tea party into the movement or into a protest. If they are viewed as one giant “mob” or if anything happens that forces the government’s hand to get involved, it will not matter who did what, just that there was an incident that required government intervention. Let them wither and die on the vine.

If there is one common complaint visitors of this site have had it is the misrepresentation of their rally by looking at the radical few rather than the movement at large.

Aren’t we just doing that here? Do we believe that the OWS is full of loons? A man came with a megaphone, started yelling things and had to be silenced because he was obviously trying to show he has the loudest voice in the room, and thus is right. Sort of like when siblings fight. I’m sure if the creator of this video had approached people, spoke to them one on one as he did initially, rather than use a megaphone to tell the OWS crowd they are cowards and bash their whole movement, then he wouldn’t have been greeted with such hostility. Clearly his intent was to upset these protesters and record them as being disruptive.

I was troubled by the statement the creator of the video made toward the midpoint of the footage, “If you don’t want to pay for it, don’t go to college.” So if you’re poor, you must sacrifice your chance at climbing out of poverty via higher education? That’s not right… Yeah, there needs to be a medium that we can agree on. Surely, you shouldn’t avoid college if you can’t afford it. And you shouldn’t expect the greatest universities in the world to be free of charge. Let’s show we aren’t congress and can actually make decisions that most of us approve of.

    • Maxsteele

Wait. These people illegally occupy city property (yes, it is illegal so don’t think since the police are not removing them and making them martyrs that it is not illegal) and scream at the top of their lungs on megaphones, marching and blocking traffic, harass small and large businesses alike, they should be spoken to softly and not debated with? Once he was mobbed by a large group he started using his megaphone to combat the groups megaphone.
Your second point is completely unintelligible. What he is saying is that if you do not want to pay (either up front or paying back your loans) then you should not go to college. They are asking for the govt. to forgive all student loans and make post secondary education free. He says if you do not want to pay then do not take out loans to go to college. Once he points this out to the organizer he has no answer and just then goes on to some prattle about corporate greed..blah..blah..blah…

      • larry gallo

Post secondary education is not free, nor should it be. It may in many cases be valueless anyway. Education earlier than it is not “free” either. It was taxed from the coerced, on the assumption that they as society members were either related to the recipients of the education, or somehow benefitted from its happening. Neither precisely true. Those who applied for college and were not told that it would be a loan that presumed repayment are lying and not reading the fine print. Contracts are entered into as commitments on both parties. If education is sought for free or at a discount there are obvious answers. Co-op work and study plans, correspondence schools, community colleges, and the options of military service with specialized training and veterans benefits are all available. So are scholarships to those showing aptitude for what they would undertake to learn. I suspect the malcontents Occupying had none of the foregoing in mind and were just similar to the draft deferment slackers of the Woodstock Nation.

    • Anonymous

Yes, we definitely believe – make that KNOW – that OWS is full of loons. Except for the genuine communists and nazis among them.

“So if you’re poor, you must sacrifice your chance at climbing out of poverty via higher education?” No, loon. You must work your way through school, if you think it’s worth it.

“Surely, you shouldn’t avoid college if you can’t afford it.” OK, let’s examine that logic: Surely you shouldn’t avoid a Maybach if you can’t afford it. Surely you shouldn’t avoid expensive restaurants if you can’t afford them. Surely you shouldn’t avoid Sach’s Fifth Avenue if you can’t afford it.

Loon, someone always has to pay for everything. Reality does not allow exceptions. If your parents are willing to pay for something you can’t afford and you “feel good” about accepting the money they (I hope) earned, go ahead.

But surely you’d better not try to force me to pay for your lazy, worthless loon life. And that’s what your sob story is an attempt to do: guilt induce worthy working people to pay for whatever you want. Mask off, game over, loon.

      • Jus

Yes, but isn’t it unfair that someone who happens to be born in poverty is more likely to stay in poverty, why? Because he/she is unable to afford the schooling that those out of poverty can afford…. education is the ladder that takes us into prosperity. I don’t think a luxury item that is unnecessary to live well is the same as 4 years of higher education which can change the rest of your life as well as the lives of future generations to come.

For the record, I’m not saying colleges should be paid for via taxes. I am saying that the cost of college is astronomically high and there should be something done so more people can have access to education. What should be done? I’m not really the legislature, but maybe tuition based on income? Something other than the status quo, unless we want to keep the poor where they are.

        • Garym

Please encourage Obama and the rest of the dems to own this movement. It will certainly help us take this country back.

          • SHOOT SOME MORE HEROIN UP YOUR ARMS..YOU EVIL RETHUGLIES ARE THE REASON (ALONG WITH THE BLUE DOG DEMS)…IS THE REASON MY COUNTRY IS EFFED UP SO BAD..DECADES OF ABUSE AND GREED..WE WILL WIN THIS CLASS WARFARE EVEN IF IT MEANS TAKING YOU EVIL THUGS OUT OF EXISTENCE WITH WHATEVER MEANS IS DEEMED NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE THAT GOAL.

            • larry gallo

@Pharto: You and your idiocy and implied threat have been flagged. Go swim to Cuba where you belong. Before you do something that will entitle you to a Gitmo vacation.

        • Yes, but isn’t it unfair that someone who happens to be born in poverty is more likely to stay in poverty, why? Because he/she is unable to afford the schooling that those out of poverty can afford…. education is the ladder that takes us into prosperity.

Its opportunity that lets the poor rise in socio-economic status!!!! You do not have to be college educated to be successful!!! It is certainly education that opens doors but, k-12 is funded!! If you want further education work for it nothing is stopping some one from working AND going to school!!!! People go to work during the day and college at night!! These lowlifes want their pot and smoke it too!!!! Work hard, push yourself, pay what you owe and don’t threaten to f**k someone up! Simple!

          • larry gallo

Life is not “fair.” The most indigent of this or any other Western nation are wealthy by historical standards. Society is riding on the shoulders of every technological innovation and productivity enhancement that free enterprise has brought about. So “Born in poverty” means usually an absence of self restraint or a prophylactic, or some spiritual guidance. It does NOT mean a defect in our society as a whole. If you insist in “equality of result,” that is a non free market perversion of the equality of opportunity we have largely achieved. It is not found here, nor in any communist alternative society those “occupiers” dimly imagine as their utopia.

        • Anonymous

You’re speaking about “fair” as if life or some people owe other people “fairness”. Wrong. What the Founding Fathers of America fought for was the opportunity to make something of yourself, not the opportunity to force or guilt-induce others to support you. Are you an adult? Then be responsible for yourself.

“Higher education” is not the same as “education”. All you need to find and hold a job and to advance, is reading comprehension, writing ability, and basic math, and I’ve known people who didn’t have all of those, yet did very well. At least they were able to respect themselves. You should have learned those basics by the sixth grade at the latest. Advanced education is valuable if you have the talent AND the self-discipline to put it to use. If you can’t or won’t make your own way, then you’re a drag on the rest of us who are trying just to pay our bills and eat and provide for our own futures and those of our own children, and have some fun (which we have every right to do) with the money you want us to give you. Get a job, Jus. Educate yourself. Libraries, the internet, asking questions and showing interest at work, doing a great job at whatever job you can get – these are all ways to advance, or at least keep a job.

Granted, life is tough, especially now. The scenario I painted above has flaws. Several million people are out of work. Deal with it. It’s called being an adult. You have time to sit around and complain on a computer (yours?) at a website, now tell me, how many job applications have you put in this week? Or month?

BTW, how are you able to afford food, computer, etc., right now? Are taxpayers already supporting you?

Would you take a job flipping burgers? Or doing housecleaning? Or clerking at a convenience store? If you have no skills at the moment, work with what you’ve got. A job gives you real-world experience in getting along with people, working with people, and a lot more. Attitude makes a huge difference.

Education is not what’s being taught in most schools for the last thirty or so years. Marxist doctrine – such as “give me what you have” – is what kids – like you, evidentally – are being taught. That’s not productive or useful to anyone but the marxist rulers and their sycophants. What have you contributed to America? What have you done for anyone? Are your parents proud to have produced a child whose greatest accomplishment is learning to sit up and beg? Make yourself useful.

        • If someone wants to go to college and they can’t afford it, join the military like I did. Your college can basically be paid for that way but that would require some work, which many of these people have never seen a day of in their life!

        • larry gallo

Do you believe the professors are overpaid/underpaid or expected to do charity work? Do you accept /reject ideas of tenure? Of “Publish or Perish?” Are they entitled to restrain free trade in their services by compulsory unionization? Do you doubt the buildings need heat or maintenance? Do you doubt that many institutions are often amassing endowments, instead of utilizing them at the proper rate? Do you subscribe to the ideas of diversity/perversity, or in loco parentis? Do you believe no education ever occurred beyond classrooms, in free reading, or later, in on the job training? Do you think or do you doubt the publishing industry for textbooks benefits from planned obsolescence in them, and the curricula that specify them? Have you forgotten merit scholarships? Pell Grants? All the foregoing impact the “costs” for higher education in our society, paid largely by non recipients of it. Education is not a right. It is not even a necessity to survive or to prosper. It is often not even imparting truthful discourse.

Really? I have yet to see any of these complaints you allege. Being that you are a self professed Liberal, you must be speaking of some other site, perhaps HuffPo or Think Progress?

      • Jus

Haven’t there been a number of complaints as to how the lame stream media is intentionally misportraying the Tea party as racist? Yes, there are TP rallies with offensive signs, but that isn’t the majority.

I guess by we, I mean you (angry conservatives who disapprove of OWS)

        • KenInMontana

As far as I go, you haven’t seen a hint of angry. As far as OWS goes, they have a right to assemble peacefully and air their perceived grievances. Do I agree with their political views? No, their views are diametrically opposed to my own, and I have seen first hand to what and where their politics lead. Shades of Rwanda right here in this hemisphere that no one talks about or will acknowledge, The Killing Fields of Cambodia, these are the places Socialism and Communism lead to. So you can safely bet your little Liberal backside that I will oppose anything that smacks of even a hint of their politics.

“Jus” nonsense as usual. These folks are leftist propaganda chattle. They are programmed and designed to obfuscate the facts of O’s record of failure, as well as facts in general. Paint over them with how ever many pretty pastels you wish. You will still end up with a canvas covered in the darkest of greys.

Ungrateful, brain mashed, nincompoops. There is no defense for them. There is no defense for the proposition that folks pay a few hundred thousand dallars to be imbued, or have their kids imbued, with leftist lies either at institutes of “higher” learning.

Is there any other insanity you’d like to defend here while already rankling the sensibilities of sound minds? Maybe you could kill two stoners with one bird. Ooops, flip that.

Anyway, here’s a bird for you…*holds up determined middle finger*.

    • He’s saying is saying if you DECIDE to attend college PAY FOR IT!!!!
My son is going to college has a full time job AND is starting a video production company!!!!! He’s not out binge drinking, partying all night he is too da***ed tired! He will graduate oweing “0” dollars. Is it going to take a year longer yes, but no debt!
How about WHY college is sooooooo expensive!!!! Not one report on why tuition is soooooooo high for the middle class!!!!!!!

ows isjust looking for handouts while doing the dirty work of the DNC!!!

    • Jus are you that touched? He said if you dont want to pay for college dont take out the loan.. he didnt say not to go to school, just if you dont want to pay for it… almost anyone and I mean anyone in this country can get a freaking school loan… that is part of the problem now with the school loan programs…..there are grants that help the truely poor… the problem with grants is that the poor have to one prove they qualify (poor) and actually have to jump through the hoops and paper work to get the grant….

On the Occupy (fill in the blank) people all I can think is this Deep Thought:

“Sometimes I think you have to march right in and demand your rights,
even if you don’t know what your rights are, or who the person is you’re
talking to. Then on the way out, slam the door.”

  • TxGold

    And just think, they’re breeding!

    • No, they’re not. Not much anyway. Which is ironic because they support all the government social programs and know that their generation (those of them with jobs) is paying to ensure the solvency of those programs for the current generation of recipients, but they haven’t considered that massive future generations of taxpayers are going to have to EXIST in order to ensure the solvency of those programs when their turn comes.

Actually, they may have considered this, which would explain, in part, why they’re standing in the street with their hands out today. There’s no way the workforce needed to fund their crappy, SSI funded retirements will ever even be born.

Every state that is at or above the replacement rate (2.1 children per couple) is a deep red state.

      • larry gallo

Red states are more fecund than “blue?” Interesting statistic. Europe (and Japan) are nowhere near this 2.1 statistic. That’s mainly why multiculturalists of their feckless social demokracies encouraged the sharian interlopers in to work menial or factory jobs. Joke is now on them (and probably us), as a babel of foreign tongues must be catered, and customs of dress and worship and hostile attitudes accommodated, on the way to their own cultures being marginalized into the minority within another generation.

    • Anonymous

      Hopefully aborting. Damnit, I’m sorry!

      • You can change “hopefully” to “usually” and you’ll be correct. The Roe Effect is in full swing. A generation of children of proponents of abortion rights was never born and the pendulum is swinging decidedly in the pro-life direction.

        • larry gallo

Do you mean ‘Roe’ as in the fish egg sense, or in the ‘Wade” sense? I always enjoyed the “row versus wade” joke about crossing the river.

The Occupiers are zombies, but that Mark Dice is a real winner too. He’s a truther and in June 2008, Dice launched a campaign urging people to send letters and DVDs to troops stationed in Iraq which support the theory that the 9/11 attacks were an “inside job”. he is not representative of the Tea Party-only the lunatic fringe of the TP. Satan is the author of chaos.

    • larry gallo

There was a “truther” at the TEA group in Tallahassee last Income Tax Day, and sure enuf the media was trying to make HIM out as a representative, but there were several cardboard “hands” on sticks pointing at him labeling him a troll in every picture they could get. Whoever conflates truthers with constitutionalists and fiscally conservative voters makes a nonexistent linkage for sure. (There was also the father of the late Todd Beamer, hero of Flight 93, behind the podium, and HE was the one gentleman whom EVERYONE else present held in justifiable awe).

What you don’t understand is that Occupy is about regulating the banks, restorative control and policies. This financial meltdown of the world is due to corp. greed in America, which makes the 1981 S&L crisis look quaint. Hundreds of people went to jail, Millions were paid back. This is literally 1000x worse, no payback, in fact, huge bonuses, nobody has paid back, nobody has gone to jail. CRIME PAID BIG TIME. Not a good plan for us going forward. Corrupted bankers need to give back ALL the $$$, Billions, upon Billions, and quit making the little guys pay.

  • What I don’t like about all this OWS crap is the clear message of “I deserve this or I deserve that, my college should be paid for and I shouldn’t have to work, free healthcare for all, free this, free that, screw the rich, take from those who have and since they have, they must be greedy and evil.” It is all this kind of talk that scares me just a bit. But far worse than all these idiots protetesting with these ideas in mind is the fact that Obama, our president and most of the Democrats believe the same things! Obama is trying go around congress and implement some of these policies right now. I’m telling you, Obama must not win a 2nd term or we are in serious trouble. He is a socialist and is (has already) started class warfare in this country, which could be our demise unless we turn it around. Cain could be an answer but anyone other than a D!
