Ted Cruz actually defended Donald Trump today, in an interview with Fox and Friends, saying that Trump shouldn’t apologize for bringing such a focus to illegal immigration.
When asked about Trump’s specific comments, Cruz said that illegals aren’t ‘mostly’ drug dealers and rapists, but said that Trump has a way of speaking that gets attention and credited Trump for bringing focus to an issue that needs it.

Now tell me, what other Republican has defended Trump? No a single one that I’ve heard, and they won’t because they think he’s toxic on this issue.
That’s why I like Ted Cruz because he not only speaks truth, he defends it, without fear, even when it comes from someone who the media is trying to crush.
