Ted Cruz was on with Megyn Kelly, explaining what he thought was his best moment tonight as well as his response to Kasich’s criticism of Trump’s immigration plan. He also talked about the importance of increasing our defense spending and at the end was asked about his ‘Rick Perry’ moment where he mentioned the Department of Commerce twice. Of course he joked that it’s so corrupt we need to eliminate it twice, but then explained what the actual department was he meant to list in that moment.

Great interview. I love how he responded to Kasich’s criticism of Trump, saying we can’t be the part of amnesty and expect to win. While I’m not exactly sure how Trump would deport all these illegals, it is true that many of them do need to be deported when they are caught. But I’m not sure ‘massive illegal deportation’ is a winner either for the general election, no matter how compassionately he says it will happen.
But both Trump and Cruz are right, that we are a nation of laws with borders that need to be protected and controlled.
