It’s one thing to play devil’s advocate as part of being a good journalist. But when I hear CNN’s Erin Burnett defending the administration by saying there were good reasons ‘that made sense’ to edit out the references to Islamic terror and Al Qaeda in the now infamous Benghazi talking points, well we know we’ve got a sympathizer on our hands.
But Ted Cruz never let her get away with making a single excuse for this administration, always correcting the record and standing up for the truth. And to her credit, she let him speak.
After going rounds on Benghazi, they eventually talked about Peter King and how he called Cruz a fraud. Cruz was very diplomatic on this issue, however I think he snuck in a dig at King. See if you hear it.
