Ted Cruz hits back at Harry Reid for attacks on Koch brothers

In a speech about getting aid money to Ukraine, Ted Cruz hit back at Harry Reid on the Senate floor a few moments ago for Reid’s attack on the Koch brothers today, noting the Koch brothers don’t have the privilege to come to the Senate and defend themselves. So Cruz defended them, telling Reid it’s not his place to attack private citizens. He also noted the hypocrisy of Reid, attacking the Koch brothers while not mentioning the billionaire who has pledged to give money to Democrats to get Climate Change laws passed.

Powerful speech on the Senate floor today, delivered passionately! One of his best – Senator Cruz is simply as good as it gets.

    • marketcomp

I am so incredibly proud that Sen. Cruz has taken it upon himself to defend these great Americans. Lord knows someone needs to.

      • jrt

He is better than Reagan. And Better than Reagan is needed to combat this worse than Carter administration.

        • BearNJ

Cruz is good he reminds me of Reagan.

  • marketcomp

    BOOM! I love this man!

  • The b-slap heard round the world.

    Schmack!

  • maynardb50

Please Lord, give us 8 more like Ted Cruz.

    • marketcomp

      Ain’t that the truth!

    • I’d like another 99 like Ted Cruz, if I’m asking…

      • Liberty Amendments

        Only in a conservative Utopia.

    • jrt

But God did give us one. And one is all that’s needed to run this country In God we trust.

    • YES!

    • Stehekin912

And may two of them be in Washington State!!!

      • giveususfree

But that Patty Murray’s a real looker, with that Dumb and Dumber haircut women’s edition, looking like she forgot where she put her brain.

    • Attila_the_hun

God gave you and everyone else a mind and a will. It’s for us to elect more Cruzes not God

      • Stehekin912

Then may God help us to find two more like Ted Cruz and lead us to elect them in Washington State!

        • badbadlibs

I’m with you! This state needs a Ted Cruz. Those two idiot women we have are despicable.

      • maynardb50

Sometimes it takes God to bring them forth Hun.

      • jrt

God gave us our will its up to us to use it to do good. But I talk to God every day and lean on him every step of the way. He has answered every time. Not always what I want, but what I need to hear.

    • Sentinel

Wow – so right! What a blessing that would be!

    • texan59

Hopefully we can get Louie Gohmert to run against Cornyn next go-round.

    • Magdalene51

Oklahoma Speaker T.W. Shannon will be one. Like Cruz, he has been endorsed by Sarah Palin. He’s the real deal.

  • OK_Loyalist

It’s about time someone tells Harry to stifle it

  • $98442859

Another reason he’s hated by the left, he champions the citizens the ones unable to defend themselves yet from bullies like Harry Reid’s attacks. Well done Ted! Thank you.

  • stage9

Well done Mr Cruz. That’s how you object on the floor.

  • gigi0f3

Well done, thou good and faithful servant!!!!!

    • Sentinel

      Well said!

  • imatellau

Sen. Cruz is a GROWN man!!! Love it!

  • Thanks for standing up for the folks Ted.

    • marketcomp

You get a million likes for that, Wolfie!

      • 🙂 Just doing my part bring the people to the Awesomeness that is Ted Cruz! 🙂

    • Dr. Strangelove

      Good one.

  • Rick2340

He is the only one in the Senate – except for maybe Mike Lee – that has any guts.

  • Bentley07

Feels great that Sen. Cruz has our six.

  • Bravo.

    • PVG

      This IS the minority leader!!!

      • Sentinel

        Amen! 🙂

  • JJHLH

God bless Ted Cruz. He is a man among children in DC.

    • burkanuck

His time up here in Alberta taught him how to be a real conservative. Too bad he deserted us, he would have made a fine Prime Minister.

      • JJHLH

I know everyone would like to have Cruz as their leader, but we aren’t giving him up.

  • notsofastthere

That’s a dress down that Harry Reid has needed for years. NOW Cruz has solidified my full attention. He put Republican leadership to shame and Reid to shame ….all with one blow.

  • actionsspeaklouder

Cruz not only takes Reid to the woodshed – every time he stands up and voices what millions of conservatives are wanting to see and hear from Republican leadership, he shows what incompetent, feckless, milquetoast “leadership” the old guard, entrenched Republicans are. That’s why they hate him so much – he exposes their complicity and culpability in the destruction of this country. He exposes their lousy, lazy, greedy, weak, traitorous selves for what they are – and they despise him for it. Can you see Boehner or McConnell coming out and passionately, eloquently, and truthfully making a case against their buddies across the aisle like this??? Of course not. They don’t have the guts or the desire to.
Good show Ted – never stop.

    • badbadlibs

      Awesome! Great post.

    • marketcomp

Check out this bit of energy from the Senate minority leader:

      and this:

Now doesn’t that say energy? NOT!

      • “Mitchy”

        • toongoon

I want to get in on the slide show.

          • PuritanD71

LOL – loved the dog thing….

      • actionsspeaklouder

        Pathetic.

    • Sentinel

      Bravo! Excellent commentary!

  • FYI, Ted: The Majority Leader has a history of attacking private citizens.

    • notsofastthere

Unfortunately we don’t have a history of anyone telling him off.
      Cruz gets my praise.

  • misterlogic0013

about time we get some sanity back .. coverage ..

  • The day Harry Reid dies is a day the country can celebrate.

    • jrt

and he will have to answer to God. Not going to end up in his favor.

    • Crassus

When Whorehouse Harry finally assumes room temperature I hope he takes Juan McAmnesty with him in a two for one special.

  • nibblesyble

This man gives me hope for the future, please Lord preserve him!~

  • John Queue

These socialist, marxist slime wouldn’t DARE provide aid to those trying to fend off the advancement of Communism…Harry Reid should be publicly flogged.

  • Mari Alvarez

On behalf of all my fellow Las Vegans who did NOT vote for Harry Reid…my apologies to this country

    • badbadlibs

Accepted. I sure hope the unions don’t pull off another election robbery when he’s up again.

    • NullUnit60

Having lived in Vegas for the better part of ten years, Reid (& family) are well known to me. My question is to the culinary union: I know you are pissed, but do you know who is actually pissing down your necks? It isn’t MGM, it isn’t Harrah’s.

      • Stehekin912

It is truly a shame that Union and Business/Industry leaders have brainwashed their membership into believing that their proper relationship to one another is competitive. To be healthy, the relationship needs to be symbiotic. Neither can thrive without the other. It is in the best interests of each to contribute to the strength of the other.

      • PNWShan

I didn’t read about it, but I think I heard a headline recently that the unions in Nevada were pretty peeved about Obamacare or some other WH Exec Order?

        • NullUnit60

Yes. They are threatening a strike if the casinos dump them into the exchanges. Culinary has better than 10,000 members.

For clarity, the heath insurance packages the culinary union has with the casinos is one with NO out of pocket costs. NONE! (Yes, it is totally free)

          Talk about your “Cadillac plans”!!

          • PNWShan

If I were them, I’d be pretty upset too. It’s a pity there is no longer a sensible middle ground, i.e., union members pay some of their costs, such as co-pays and some deductible or percentage. That would keep costs down and encourage members to be mindful of their spending. Plus, it would be a whole lot less than Obamacare.

    • Sentinel

Appreciated but unnecessary. Harry and his minions in the unions stole that election. Not your fault. 🙂

      • oldaarpy

Dead folks, illegals, babies, convicts, terminally slow, burned out paint huffers and stoners all voted for Harry! In other words, the usual democrat voters!

        • Sentinel

Sounds like the Demoncrap voter base…

  • mathewsjw

    Release the Ted “Kraken” Cruz

    • Guest

(not to disparage Ted Cruz, whom I adore, but I also adore this mini kraken)

  • bobbymike34

This is how Democrats like Reid should be treated with scorn and derision!

  • jrt

Cruz is better than Reagan. And better than Reagan is what we need to combat a worse than Carter administration.

  • RedDaveR

It’s about time someone stood up to Harry Reid. Cruz is showing McConnell and his friends how to do their job.

    • oldaarpy

Cruz is a Conservative! McConnell is a career politician! (and it shows)

  • Sentinel

Well, that was some kind of awesome! I won’t say I have tingles running up my leg or anything that gross and stupid… but it sure is refreshing to have a man of character, conviction and eloquence call out evil. I know it’s been done before… and I’m sure dirty Harry is gonna whine and bluster about it to the media or on the floor tomorrow. But for now, that was a shot across the bow that Harry’s disgusting attacks on America and Americans will not go unmentioned or unchallenged – that he will be called out and his inappropriate crap will be appropriately condemned. Reid is a wretched, bitter, twisted old man and needs to retire or better yet, be fired by the voters of Nevada. We’ll see how this vampire takes to the illuminating sunshine that is Ted Cruz. Well done Sir! Well done!

    • Dr. Strangelove

      Right on.

  • Crassus

Since most billionaires like the Koch brothers play both sides of the political fence and give to members of both parties, my guess is that they have given plenty of money to Whorehouse Harry in the past. Anybody want to research how much? Anyway, it damn sure didn’t bother Whorehouse Harry to take their money in the past so why is he complaining now? Return their money if you don’t like them, you senile old fart.

    • Stehekin912

“Koch Brothers” is one of those nonsensical little magic phrases liberals use when they want to distract attention away from themselves and rile up their low information supporters. Harry must be in a corner to use that magic phrase.

      • oldaarpy

You mean like, “Bush’s fault”? I’d vote Rep just to shut-up the morons who have nothing but, “Well, Bush…..””!

      • jorskippy

The Koch Brothers have given far less to Republican political campaigns than Soros, Buffett, or the Unions to Democrat political campaigns.

    • badbadlibs

He never brings up Soros. Reid is beyond senile, he’s ready for an institution.

      • Stehekin912

Or Gates or Gates Sr, or Buffet, or Blumberg or or or

    • Dr. Strangelove

You’re right, but I think that if the progs were getting money from the Kochs they wouldn’t be so free with their criticism.

  • kazzer66

    Finally. Thank you, Mr. Cruz.

Why aren’t ALL Republican members of the Senate, standing up to lying Harry Reid? They let him spew his bilge, over and over again, without any objections…and then they wonder why no one loves them.

Grow a backbone and stand up to this garbage, you spineless ninnies.

    • PJ1193

Lindsey Graham is too busy giving John Kerry a lap dance to do that.

      • hey if your are going to write about porn at least make something attractive, my dinner is now my lap top screen

  • John Huffman

Atta boy! Hit em with a “CRUZ MISSLE” Harry Reid is a lying dirt bag, and should be flogged publicly.

  • Sassy3000

GO TED CRUZ! Tell off that loud-mouthed puke from Nevada! What a joke and massive hypocrite Harry Reid is. Cruz just handed him his butt on a silver platter. Now THAT’S the kind of leadership this country needs! Not more of these mamby pamby control-freak scum-bags who systematically seek to undermine the constitution, and to take away our freedoms and to send us back into the dark ages. Those Democraps should be ashamed but that takes Real Honor And Real Integrity to do so. And those Dems have none!

    • Joshua Rojas

      Amen.

  • charlieholmes

Ted Cruz, you are SOP right on, brother! Keep stickin’ it to ’em! They have GOT to GO!!!

  • Stu Cozza

“The Koch Brothers”… one of many distractions the left is throwing out there to keep people away from issues and problems that really matter. Our economy is in the tank, and all the left can do is yell, “Koch Brothers.” Jobs are not available, and the left brings up “the Koch Brothers”.

The Koch Brothers have created more jobs and prosperity for Americans than government could ever create.

How about this… we stop accepting and believing these distractions and lies, and rather focus on what really matters?

  • Michael David Davis

President Cruz. Damn that sounds good.

    • marketcomp

      YES IT DOES!

      • disqus_v3SHzvCspj

No; Cruz for AG. I want Holder behind bars.

        • KenInMontana

I’d prefer Trey Gowdy for AG.

          • Joshua Rojas

Yeah or Janine Pureo. Cruz has to be the Prez. We cant trust anyone else.

  • Houstongirl

Cruz tells it like it is. No fear. There is no one in the Senate that I admire more. He is honest, fearless, and willing to put his political career on the line to tell Americans the truth. Go Cruz!

    • donzap

      Agreed!

    • disqus_v3SHzvCspj

The institutional cowardice of the GOP goes back before McCarthy got spanked on TV, but from that time on the Repub Senators had to be perfect, decorum-wise, or the mean old Democrats might call them names. It’s the Chicago way in reverse; you bring a knife, I bring a hankie. You bring a gun, I apologize, tearfully.

Those days are thankfully almost over. Buh Bye McCain, McConnell, Boehner and take the trash out when you leave.

Don’t let the door hit’cha where the big dog bit’cha.

  • FLirishPM59

Ted Cruz brings up a good point…why is the Senate Majority Leader using his office to disparage private citizens? He needs to be censured for his conduct. Either that or the Koch Brothers simply need to make his life miserable by suing his ever loving a$$ off….

    • MaxineCA

From what I understand, Dingy can say anything he wants from the Senate floor – period. Can’t be sued or action taken against him for his words while speaking on the Senate floor. I guess it’s some kind of guaranteed immunity.

That’s the reason we need Cruz and others need to speak up and call him out. At least Cruz has the courage to do that.

    • disqus_v3SHzvCspj

I think the Koch Brothers have more respect for the Senate than vice versa; Harry Reids typical vicious bloviating isn’t worth a lawsuit or the publicity. Harry will be gone shortly and we’ll be done with him.

  • Brian Alexander

The Koch brothers rank 57th in campaign contributions IIRC – also if memory serves the top 56 all support Democrats and liberal agendas. But hey, there’s no bias in the media, right?

    • fafhrd

Koch brothers were 59th, and the top 19 donors gave predominantly to progressive causes.

      • Brian Alexander

Ok – meaning #20 was mainly conservative – how many of the other 57 were liberal?

      • CalifTaxPayer

Dirty Harry is a sick, disgusting, evil Demented fool & does not deserve to set foot in OUR house, same w/Obummer. He doesnt mention all the DamnOCraps that the Satan himself (Soros) donates to including OBummer himself. I think he is involved w/the Liberals to destroy this Great Country. Come on Dirty Harry look in the mirror u demented fossil

  • donzap

    Alright! Go Cruz!!!

  • Barry

If the Senate Rules allow a Senator to “confront” another Senator on the Senate Floor for being Drunk, or behaving like a Drunk, and also allow a Senator to ask for the Senate Sargent at Arms and the Doorkeeper to Seize the offending Senator, Restrain him, and Remove him or her from the Senate Floor for being publicly pickled, then would the same Rule allow a Senator to Demand that the Sargent at Arms and Doorkeeper Remove a Senator who is exhibiting signs of Mental or Emotional Illness, or Substance Abuse, or Alzheimer’s? More than one person has opined publicly recently that Senator Reid is Mad as a Hatter. Is he? What is the protocol for seizing him and compelling him to undergo involuntary psychiatric and substance abuse testing, and testing for the onset of Alzheimer’s Disease. Is Reid Crackers? Round the Reef? Gone Fishing? a Deterring and Doddering old Dung Doodler? Just look at him. Would you let that old fart write a will for you? Hell no! So, why do we tolerate him in the Senate without insisting that he be examined by a panel of competent psychiatrists and physicians. Really, this man is Majority Leader of the Senate, the people of America have a right to say: Old Man, get your ass in the back of this ambulance, and behave yourself, or we are going to sedate you. You are going for a ride, like or not. So, just shut up, call your doctor and your lawyer. We will be calling CNN, et al.

  • makeupdiva

    LOVE TED CRUZ

  • Grace656

“while not mentioning the billionaire who has pledged to give money to Democrats to get Climate Change laws passed.”

The same man who inspired their little sleepover the other night.

  • dkerbs

Finally someone to give it back to them. I’m feeling hopeful tonight!

  • If he keeps this up the movement to draft him if he doesn’t run will take off.

  • russellbennett

Dingy Harry tried to attack Rush Limbaugh by Writing a letter signed by 41 Senators to Mark May trying to get Rush taken off the air. Mark gave the letter to Rush and rush put it up for sale on EBAY It sold for 1.2 Million so rush donated 2.4 Million for kids of Police or military to pay for their educat?ion. Harry looked like a ass over that. Rush rubbed it in pretty good.

    • Houstongirl

Good for Rush! He’s a sweetie in so many ways and helps so many people though he never flaunts it or toots his own horn. He is an American treasure.

      • xtasea

Yes, he’s an acquired taste but worth and worthy of the acquisition. I may not agree with him all the time but he and Mark Levin I agree with mostly and always appreciate their perspective.

        • disqus_v3SHzvCspj

Agree. After 25 years of listening to Rush I respect the fresh perspective he has. He will interpret a news event correctly roughly ALL the time which is 1000% better than all the MSM put together. You see few editorials on TV and even less good ones; except for a few on Fox. Good health and long life.

          • sno_warrior

Rush is pretty amazing… you can almost take what he says to the bank. SELDOM is he ever wrong.

    • That’s hysterical,I forgot about that

    • Dr. Strangelove

And don’t forget Hairy Reed tried to take credit for it, too.

    • giveususfree

    • Eriena Munson

      America needs him!

      • Joshua Rojas

We do. All these other phony conservatives like Rand Paul, Rick Perry, and Ben Carson have me worried…

  • Ward Damon Hubbard

How is aid to the Ukraine in the best interest of the US? Other than fanning the flams of another cold war, I don’t see any benefit to our tax dollars going to the Ukraine, not when cities like Detroit are in bankruptcy. Our tax dollars should go to helping out our people, we need to abolish all foreign aid, and look to improving The United States of America and it’s citizens.

    • kenr1

      I agree.

    • Micky Baker

It would be a waste to bail out Detroit. Detroit did it to themselves and needs to get itself out of it.

    • vphilly

Screw Detroit. For 40 years, those morons have consistently voted in liberal corruptocrats that have run the city into the ground. Let them dig themselves out of that mess.

    • rockribbedrushy

Detroit went bankrupt on its own, it was not invaded by anyone. Unless you consider democrats to be invaders, eh?

BTW Foreign Aid comes to about 50 Billion Dollars, that is a weeks worth of revenue at 7 Billion a day.
Not playing down Foreign Aid, but put it into perspective, huh?

Countles Billions are spent on duplicate, overlapping and wasteful programs to the tune of 500 Billion Dollars.

Let’s get rid of waste, fraud and abuse.

Also some 50 to 75% of government in simply UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

      • Wayne Sexton

The Ukrainians don’t want a handout, but a loan. It is in the best interest of the US to help any peoples seeking freedom from those who promote tyranny. The US indeed needs to help the Ukrainian people and stop wasting money here on freebies for those who can work and don’t. The great American dream has become to get a check from the government and always vote for a Democrat.

    • ed28

The gas lines which supply most European American allies runs through the Ukraine. Do you really want Putin to get any more leverage on them? Look at how he has acted with Obama the spineless pulling the missile defense shield from Poland during his bow and apology tour.

Money is all Obama has because no one is going to respect a spineless, HARVARD, talker who can’t keep anything he even mentions from turning to [email protected]!

      • Ward Damon Hubbard

I am certainly no fan of Obama this western socialist president is doing his very best to bring this nation into the united nations compliance, with that having been said, the Ukraine buys 70% of their crud , as well as 80% of their coal from Russia, which by the way they are in debt too. we as a nation have mass unemployment, our economy is stuck in neutral, and when exactly did we becoming the world’s police force, let the UN police the Poland boarder, the billion of US tax payer dollar can best be served here at home.

        • ed28

This is not a mater of what the Ukraine “buys” from Russia. It is a matter of what the rest of Europe (our allies, or at least they were before the apology and Bad America Obama tour) buys which flows through the Ukraine. Control of those pipelines could drop our allies to their economic knees in short order.

“we as a nation have mass unemployment, our economy is stuck in neutral” thanks to the idiotic and imbecilic war on capitalism waged by Obutthead. They man couldn’t run a paper route.

“and when exactly did we becoming the world’s police force, let the UN police the Poland boarder” I believe that the date for this is consistent with the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and the English plea for us to enjoin the WWI European campaign.

The missile defense shield in Poland wasn’t to protect the Poles. It was to deter the Iran ballistic missile threat to more than just Poland and to show solidarity in diplomatic standing and establish a lasting strategic relationship between Poland and the U.S. But, Obama turned that into something more screwed up than a “football bat”.

If Obama had followed through with this shield, Putin would be a lot less agressive and we would not need to LEND the Ukraine $1-billion.

          • Ward Damon Hubbard

Well ed28, if you truly believe that its is The United States of America’s responsible, to put our troops on the ground in Poland, to protect western Europe natural gas pipeline, then YOU are what is call a “WAR MONGER”, and are as much of a problem as Feinstein, McCain, and Graham, with thinking such as that, what it will do is to cost this country, the lives of more of our youth, and if you feel that strong about it to compare what is currently situation to that of Japan attacking the US at Pearl Harbor, are apple and oranges, and could not be further apart, with that having been said, and you passion is that strong, then my hat is off to you, and perhaps you should go on over there, or send YOUR children, to give that sacrifice, because I for one, am sick and tired of see our young people coming home in a box, or without limbs, and much worse, however, this is America and above all else, you have the freedom to feel the way that you do, no matter how wrong I think that your way of thinking is.

            • ed28

“however, this is America and above all else, you have the freedom to
feel the way that you do, no matter how wrong I think that your way of
              thinking is.”

And that wraps in it’s entirety the problem, you have the freedom to think whatever you want, however you do it incorrectly. Pay attention, I did not compare what is going on today to Pearl Harbor. That was the answer to you other ignorant question.

Now remember, at the time the Japanese were on their way to Pearl Harbor, ignorant isolationist were filibusterer congress to remain a neutral world power and that was how they professed we could do our best. How did that work out for you? Eh?

Besides, how you feel about me? I checked three times and I still don’t give a pile of tick turd about your ignorant opinion of me. I just respond in hopes that some of your ignorant, emotional opinion can be replace with common sense, fact and pragmatic reasoning. Like I said “in hopes” but optimism wanes with each and every one of your responses,

              • Ward Damon Hubbard

                lol

                • ed28

      Cruz 2016. Period!

      • Joshua Rojas

Perry endorsed David Dewhurst over Ted Cruz. Perry is a sellout. Crony Capitalist.

      Cruz-Perry Maybe.

  • Freedomswatch

Ted Cruz speaking truth to power. He takes on the struggle and points out the hypocrisy that the RINOs won’t. Keep fighting the good fight Senator. You have my full support and my vote. Cruz for President 2016.

Everyone knows Reid is an idiot. Thanks to Ted Cruz for pointing that out so eloquently.

  • Cruz-Missile

Let’s do this! We will not stop fighting.

  • sadlyso

Shame on you Harry Reid! Thank you Senator Cruz for watching American citizen’s back from evil men like Harry Reid.

    • Joshua Rojas

      Im with you on that.

  • Thrangor

Cruz told the absolute truth! Harry Reid is disgusting.

  • Renny

Think what you may about Cruz, but this is what all Republicans should be doing or they wouldn’t have to be scratching their heads about why they can’t win the presidency. Speak up! Tell the plain truth and don’t let liberals get away with anything. Go Ted!

    • rjcylon

Cruz seems to be the right leader at the right time, gives me hope.

  • martialmedia

Makes me proud to be a Texan!

    • Chrisput

Damn straight martial. I love this Man. He is one of about five politicians in that town that’s worth a damn.

  • Dmeche

Rand Paul and Ted Cruz should run in 2016 under the ticket Pablo/Cruz. A winning ticket to the Spanish community and 70’s music fans,

    • rockribbedrushy

      Cruz ‘n West in 2016!

One Blue State at a time til California!

    • Bryant Hill

NO Rand, please. He wants amnesty for illegals.

      • rjcylon

He’s a politician and he’s playing to both sides thinking his libertarian cred will cover for his embracing of the establishment.

      • Guest

He does not. Why do people keep spreading misinformation. Especially about something so lame.

        • conservativeBC

This BS is the reason we ended up with Romney and McCain. Cruz or Paul, IT DOESNT MAKE A DAMN!

Whoever has the momentum going into the primary better be your choice….

        • smacca

I was wondering the same thing. His conditions was a slow path to citizenship involving building a fence, paying fees amongst other things. Not exactly the amnesty that the establishment on the R and L are pushing now.

      • Realistic_01

I think that’s Paul Ryan, not Rand Paul.

      • Joshua Rojas

And he loves RINOs like Mitch McConnell and he hates conservatives like Ted Cruz and he’s a flip flopper on foreign policy. No more Rand please.

    • smacca

      Definitely Rand.

    • ceili_dancer

Next president will be a governor.

    • SurfinUSA

I’ll second that… let’s spin one for a pick me up
      You can’t go wrong…

    • Joshua Rojas

Rand Paul is terrible. Cruz/Palin or Cruz West 2016!

  • SurfinUSA

Reid was a boxer when he was younger. Lately he has been the “Bull(y) of the Senate.”

He never saw the uppercut delivered by Cruz…. get ’em Ted…

    • smacca

He was a boxer? He looks and sounds like he’d break in half.

      • SurfinUSA

I looked for a decent picture of Harry in boxing gloves but I can’t find believable visual evidence.

I did run across a picture where Harry was in a Vaudeville ventriloquist act long ago when dirt was young.

      • Mino

Maybe he got hit too hard back then and that’s why he now has that insufferable high-pitched girlie voice

        • smacca

Somebody gave him a LEFT hook and he lost all his marbles. lol

    • Realistic_01

I doubt he really boxed much, I think he just enjoyed the boy’s showers.

  • Jeremiah

We Liberals really want Cruz to run in ’16 too. That would be great for us.

    • Bryant Hill

WHAT!!!!!!! Now I know you people have gone batty.

    • rjcylon

I thought you guys said he wasn’t allowed to.

If having a prosperous and free country is your thing then I can understand why you would want him as President.

    • Richard James Meador

the libs want him to run because they are convinced the Queen bitch Hilary will beat him hands down. Funny thing is that she=devil may not even run.

    • Joshua Rojas

As If that were true he’d come and tell us. In fact this proves the opposite is true. You are afraid of him.

  • mzungu

Way to go Ted Cruz! See Presence of Mind is a good thing and Cruz has it in abundance.

  • leybaterry

Harry reid was Cruzing for a bruising ,and that imbecile from the great state of Nevada got taken to the wood shed….Outstanding Senator Cruz

  • Terry

I like the idea of Kruz as Senate Majority Leader rather than president. Let him get a few more years under his belt fighting it out in the Senate with the LIbtard Dim-o-craps. We need a man like him there who isn’t afraid of a little confrontation.

    • leel004

That is an outstanding idea…but won’t happen…gotta be voted in my party peers. And did they stand with him on defunding obamacare? A BIG FAT N O

    • Joshua Rojas

Senate is for losers… Cruz 2016!!

  • Christopher Chance

Waiting for asshead reid to put out a hit on Cruz.

  • Wayne Sexton

The Koch brothers need to sue Harry Reid over and over until he has no money left. How dare a member of the Senate attack Americans for their beliefs.

  • smacca

Who is the California billionaire? Sounds pretty seedy.

    • badbadlibs

Tom Steyer. He’s a former hedge fund manager, you know…one of those lousy capitalists the left hates all day long, except when they’re one of the lousy capitalists.
He has enough money to move the entirety of the United States Senate democrats. They pulled that all nighter recently for the benefit of Tom Steyer’s promised money.
      Who said money doesn’t talk…..

      • smacca

That seems so wrong and shamelessly arrogant. No one person should have sway over congress and the law like that. They’re probably all drooling on the guy. At least the Koch bros money is spent promoting liberation from the force of govt, as opposed to use of it’s force for private interests, at everyone else’s expense.

        • badbadlibs

Of course you’re correct. But, the level of hypocrisy and arrogance, as you say, has reached a fever pitch. The left lies without impunity. Who is to stop them?
They cry about “leveling the field”, while they stop everything meaningful and go on a junket, at our expense, to mine the money of Steyer.
He has promised 100 MILLION dollars to democrat candidates who tout the “global warming” scam.
I can only dream the Koch brothers give that much to true conservative candidates.

  • Johann Streit

Sure seems out of control again!

  • Johann Streit

Reid and Pelosi for 2016, making license plates!

  • rickmcknight

I am glad sir that you did not pass the aid to the Ukraine. We can’t even take care of our own returning soldiers let alone the Ukraine. Government is closing down military commissaries and shrinking our military…and you want to send billions of dollars to the Ukraine? Sorry…you missed this one Mr. Cruz!

    • badbadlibs

He was making a broader point. He didn’t miss a thing, its you who did.

      • rickmcknight

Maybe I missed the “main” point, but he still said he wanted to send billions to Ukraine …or did I not hear him right? I think you missed my main point.

  • Marky_D

    The man is just awesome.

    • Joshua Rojas

      Ted Cruz 2016!

  • Rachel

Love Ted Cruz. Go to hell, Harry.

    • boca1959

Isn’t that what you voted in your country for Mr Martinez (fidel castro)

    • zj sky

congrats – you made the most retarded comment on the internet

    • Joshua Rojas

I like how he cant even prove it. He just says it.

  • 1dudette

YAY–he is right, that stupid corrupt Reid will pick on people who can’t talk back, good on Cruz for sticking up for these private citizens, not legislators!

  • boca1959

Discussing who’s giving money to whom both parties are dependent on subsidies to run their campaigns and fill their pockets with money

  • Taurnil Oronar
  • Steveman

The Koch brothers were something like 17th on the top donors list. The top ten was made up of mostly liberal Democrat donors and for that matter most of the top twenty were as well. Yet, the first thing libs want to use in an argument is the evil Koch brothers.

    • kong1967

Yes, but they know what they are doing. They’re setting up public perception about the Republicans and the filthy rich. Reality is quite the opposite, but the public generally doesn’t know….or doesn’t seem to know……that the Democrats are smothered with filthy rich people controlling their votes.

    • belairjeff

@steveman – i think the Koch Bros. were 59th on that list you’re referring to.

      • Randy Gacke

You’re correct. The Koch brothers were 59th. Of the top ten donors, eight were liberal including six unions who are by far the biggest liberal donors. Who knows how much Soros actually donates because he channels it through numerous groups such as Move On, Planned Parenthood, etc., etc., etc.

  • cindy117

This man makes me more proud that I am a Texan!

    • Tuffenough1952

AMEN !! I’m also a Texan — from southeast Texas — God Bless Sen Cruz.

        And God bless Texas!

      Hoosiers back Cruz too!

    • ErikandKathy Muller

      Makes me proud period!!

    • EchoMike

      Roger that!!!

    • kong1967

If we had 435 of him, even if it was split down the middle R and D, we could actually have a body of government that worked for us instead of their respective parties and special interest groups.

  • kong1967

Yeah, those evil Koch brothers…..providing us with a service that everyone uses….a lot…..either directly or indirectly. They’re capitalists that earn their money, unlike a lot of liberal elites that get their money through political pandering.

    • jrt

can you say Nancy Pelosi…..Dianne Feinstein ….they have to protect their own special interests.

      • kong1967

Oh yeah, as politicians always do.

        • jrt67

this is a full time job for them. How to make money by not working. they work harder at working not to work for something

          • kong1967

Lol, no disagreement here….and they get paid well for it in pay and kickbacks.

  • Tuffenough1952

Attention Citizens of this country – This Man – This Senator – my Senator Ted Cruz – MIGHT just MIGHT be the salvation of this nation-

    • dawson23

Tuff….Wish he was my Senator, I have that useless POS John Not even close to Conservative Cornyn…….Cruz is the Man!!

      • Joshua Rojas

He’s mine. Haha sorry for gloating.

    • Darrell Griffin

      Cruz 2016 !!!

  • ErikandKathy Muller

Me thinks Ted’s pair are bigger than Reid’s pair.

    • william C

Does Reid even have a pair?

    • Betsey_Ross

Harry’s a bully. We all know what their problem is. It just takes one person to call them out. I hope more join Ted.

  • Jim Springer

Now that man is a real Senator, standing up for citizens unlike the Laurel and Hardy act we have here in Illinois.

  • Joe

I put my faith in Jesus Christ who will send us men like Ted Cruz to be a light to lead us out of this morass. I would love to see Ted as president.

    • henryknox

I would like to see more like him in the Senate, House and White House. It seems that he is the only one standing for the citizens. All the others seem to be standing for themselves.

      • Joshua Rojas

That’s dumb. No one is better at leading us than him. Not Rand Paul, not trey Gowdy. Senate is for losers. Even Jim DeMint left.

  • Keith Weatherly

Ted Cruz has the moral fortitude to stand up against the likes of “Dingy Harry!” Amen for that!!!

  • Lawrence Todd

Harry Reid is the senates zombie. Every time i look at him i think i am watching a zombie movie.

  • Betsey_Ross

Finally! Some Republican push back in the halls of Congress. I hope Ted makes this a consistent part of his daily routine. Go, Ted! We need more loud voices.

  • Angermanagement

Good Guy! Ask him what he thinks should be done about the 20+ million illegal aliens in America! I personally didn’t like the answer! What are your thoughts?

  • trytothink

    Boom, Headshot!

    Great arguments, Ted!

  • RobertMahoney

Great point, but why are we sending aide to the Ukraine? Why doesn’t the EU take care of them. After all, we are told this is all going on because they wanted to join the EU. Never mind the fact that George Soros and his Open Society Foundation, FreedomHouse.org and a whole host of American leftist NGO’s were over there ginning all this crap up to start with.

    • Edna Klein

The EU is holding back because they get their gas and oil from Russia through Ukraine. They can’t get any help in this area from us because we are not allowed to drill.

    • colliemum

      Well said!
I am sick of the MSM here in the EU, and apparently on your side of the Big Pond as well, making out as if Putin suddenly, out of the blue, during the Winter Olympics, decided he’d like himself a nice little crisis …

As for why the USA should send aid to the Ukraine: your Ms Nuland told us that you already spent $ 5 billion on the Ukraine, and thanks to her infamous phone talk we knew whom she – and thus the EU – wanted as new leaders, before Yanukovich was toppled.
Surprise surprise – the leader she wanted to see shook hands with Obama yesterday …

As for why the EU should pay: heh, make that Germany, the EU has no money, only bureaucrats which spend it. From what I’ve seen in the online comments for the last four weeks – the people across the continent are hopping mad about all this, and the ‘leaders’ know full well that they cannot sell us ‘aid to the Ukraine’ when the Eu is already trillions in debt and people are jobless, to the tune of over 50% in Spain and Greece for those under 25.

      Sorry – forgive my rant.

  • Conservator1

There’s no stopping Cruz; he’s the GOP early leader in presidential primaries regardless of the pokls or Paul’s victory on CPAC Straw poll.

Just let your mind compare Cruz to Sen. Graham yesterday. Cruz stood up to Dirty Harry while demonstrating Reid’s petulant vitriolic diatribe on the Koch brothers to distract his moved tabling the House’s Ukraine aid legislation.

And what was Graham doing yesterday? – getting caught on a open mic promising John Kerry he would help him with Speaker Boehner.

This is the reason we need a President Cruz in 2016.

    • Kaye Brooks Frost

I would give all my son’s right “nutz” if Ted Cruz could be President. I love what he has to say and the passion he says it with. Unfortunately for the United States, Ted Cruz is not a Natural born citizen. He was born in Canada. According to the Constitution, he is ineligible for the Office. Although, I think if there were a vote tomorrow with him on the ticket, he would win. I would vote for him anyways.

      • phil

great, then will get Cuomo, better ?

      • Conservator1

You’re incorrect; I can post hundreds of articles citing Cruz is eligible to be president. Below is the US statue that affords Cruz that right.

        Citizenship Through Parents
        http://www.uscis.gov/us-citizenship/citizenship-through-parents

One parent is a U.S. citizen at the time of birth and the birthdate is before November 14, 1986 but after October 10, 1952

The parents are married at the time of birth and the U.S. citizen parent was physically present in the U.S. or its territories for a period of at least ten years at some time in his or her life prior to the birth, at least five of which were after his or her 14th birthday.

If the U.S. citizen parent spent time abroad in any of the following three capacities, this can also be counted towards the physical presence requirement:

        Serving honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces;

Employed with the U.S. Government; or

        Employed with certain international organizations.

Additionally, time spent abroad by the U.S. citizen parent while the U.S. citizen parent was the unmarried son or daughter and a member of the household of a person who meets any of the three conditions listed above can also be counted.

        • Kaye Brooks Frost

  • tony palombini jr

While I would caution my fellow conservatives against anointing any politician the savior, Ted Cruz is a very special person indeed. This man has intellect, he’s extremely quick on his feet, has the ability to formulate strategy and see beyond today, is correct on the issues and is utterly fearless. The left fears this man but will have a great deal of time bringing him down because he’s simply smarter than his enemies and knows how to deal with them.

    • phil

      i agree,

so far i havn’t found any missteps by Cruz and has something most of the GOP doesn’t have (and probably most the senate) he is a very convincing speaker, if you listen to him a few short min. on an issue he probably convinced (or at least tilted) most listeners, and always with substance, not with Fear, or any other Dem tactic to drive voters,

but as you said never put your faith in a single politician,

    • Conserv_58

The establishment RINOS also fear him and the Tea Party movement. They are as bad, if not worse, than the dems in their despicable acts toward him and the grass roots conservative movement.

There is video out today showing uber RINO, Lindsey Graham being caught on an open mic telling John Kerry to let him know if he needed him to deal with speaker, Boehner. What more does the American public need to see and hear to finally be convinced that the establishment republicans are traitors to all that the republican party has stood for?

    • Joshua Rojas

      You are exactly right.

  • Greg Duke

I do not want to send any money, aid, or troops to: Ukraine, Syria, Uganda, Lebanon, Egypt, Algeria, Iraq, Afghanistan, or any other place in Africa. Period. Throw in the cesspool we know as Haiti as well. These places are blood suckers. Let us take care of our infrastructure, and, our own people first!

  • DebsSay

Ted Cruz shows leadership every time he speaks to an issue! Leading like a boss! This is what we need in D.C. Leadership! Speaking the truth and taking it right to the liberals like Harry Reid. This is what leadership looks like and exactly what we need in the Whitehouse! Ted Cruz 2016!

    • Joshua Rojas

      Amen!

  • Schroeder

Cruz has some serious balls, we need a president like that. Obama focking sucks

    • Joshua Rojas

      Yes.

  • zj sky

Love it!!! All GOP Senators and Reps should push back on the ridiculous attacks on the Koch Brothers – especially when the Democrats hypocritically take 100s of millions from George Soros, Unions, Peter Lewis (owner of Progressive Insurance), etc.

    • seekeroftruth777

AND Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, to name two more millionaire/billionaire Dem supporters!

    • Antonio Vicci

It would be better if, instead of pointing out the hypocrisy, our politicians stopped accepting money from shady individuals.

  • Amanda P.

I love seeing the criminal parasite class getting mad at the people forced to pay for all of their evil programs… Just WHO exactly does Reid think pays his bloated salary? And where does he think he’s going to get money to bailout Ukraine? What a scumbag.

  • phil

    i love this Dude,

the dems never pass an empty mic without muttering a few words in against the GOP, and usually most of the GOP is very Clumzy or lazy to respond which has a huge effect on Public opinion,

Finally we have a guy who exposes these bastards,

    • montereyyjack

Dam he’s going to make a great President!! Cruz is brilliant, righteous, fearless…this walking cadaver Reid is out of his league.

      • Bruce White

You’d think Dirty Harry would have learned his lesson when he went after Rush and his letter to Rush’s boss was sold for over 2 mil with the proceeds going to the children of fallen soldiers. No lib ever thinks of charity for soldiers. They just cut their pay!

as far a wealth is concerned, the Koch brothers are listed as 59th. The richest are the ones backing the progressives.

    • badbadlibs

Well, reid doesn’t give his rat’s hairy behind about facts like that, Elaine.
Tom Steyer’s promise of money to democrats caused that all nighter the demons…er, democrats recently staged.
They let that fool’s money lead them by their nose, but it’s the Koch brothers (who are not conservatives, but libertarians) who are evil.
No human imagination could have ever dreamed up the level of hypocrisy the left spews day and night.

    • PicklePlants

That’s not wealth, that’s 59th largest in total contributions to political causes, an important distinction.

Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid from Nevada, should be ridiculed from the floor of the Senate everyday, several times a day along with Senators Schumer and Durbin.

    • Bubba Bee

I agree Cantonst. But alas, where have our Leaders of Integrity gone ? Surely they are MIA as sure as Mr./Ms. Guest is covering for Reid and Co.

    • $1226219

Let’s not forget Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstien. Oh, and Johnny McSame and my own state’s shameful Martin Heinrich and Tom Udall.

      • cantonst

Agree, thank you for the reminder! I lean strongly toward term limits…anything beyond six years total in D.C. and you’re corrupt or at least desensitized to the people.

Two of the good guys, maybe the only two left.

    • DaTrollMon

      Amen, brother. Keep the faith!

  • elt100

All of these guys (the Kochs, Steyer, et, al,) are pikers compared to the number one campaign donation machine: labor unions. It has been estimated that organized labour has “donated” in excess of four BILLION dollars to political causes since 2008. Would anyone like to hazard a guess as to which party got THAT money?

  • katekastorff

You go, Ted. spank dat az…

  • cantonst

Let’s help Senator Cruz by electing more like him in November. One candidate that stands out to me even though I don’t live in S.C., is Senator Tim Scott. If you can, please help him win re-election this fall…I do. Just search his name on your browser and I’m sure you’ll find several websites with a myriad of ways to support his re-election campaign. BTW: I’m not a Republican…I’m a strong pro-life conservative and a proud Tea Party Patriot.

    • stuart

The only problem I have with Cruz is he needs to not knock the Republican party. After all they are still on the same team even if they do not agree with each other.

    • slf

Sounds good to me!!! I’m with ya!

    • $1226219

Exactly! Go directly to the candidate’s site and donate, not to the RNC, RNSC or RNCC.

    • $1226219

While we’re at it, I’ll offer a shameless plug for a fine candidate with strong constitutional/libertarian/Tea Party view points. David Clements in New Mexico. He’s running against Tom Udall eventually we hope, but first hurdle is the primaries against establishment turd, Allen Weh.

  • Paul C.

    You go Cruz

  • James wood

First of all as a first term sen what do you expect Cruz to really know about our connection to other country’s. Except to complain …complain. Now if you put stock in what this clown says , you must not know anything about foreign policy as evidently Cruz does not know. Now what he does know is about the free healthcare him and his family received while living in Canada where he was born. But most people forget this and listen to his crap in this country as if he knows what he is talking about. He is simply fooling people to make mega $..j.wood

    • trytothink

What does first term have to do with it?

You think these long-term career politicians are somehow better than others because they hang around year after year managing to get re-elected? About all they learn is how to play political games better and better. How to say what they need to in order to get re-elected by their constituents while enriching themselves while they’re in DC.

      Cruz’s logic speaks for itself.

Besides, where were you with criticism of first-term, inexperienced politicians when Obama came out of nowhere and became President?

    • Mannly

      soooo…. your a Obama Jock-Strap too…… don’t you tire of the smell… just sayin

    • Patrick Lipps

Every Senator, Representative, President, or any office holder is a first termer to start. I would think that would be obvious and not need to be said. Obama was a, “First term sen”, when he suddenly became President. All he did, (And continues to do), is ‘Complain…complain”. Everything that happens is someone elses fault. Even now, 6 years after he was elected. Of course Cruz would know about the , “Free Healthcare”, in Canada. Thats why he is opposed to it here. Canada and England both warned against nationalizing healthcare based on their experiences with it. I have family that comes down from Canada to get things done that they can’t get up there because of shortages and waiting lists that are years long. They pay for it when they come too so don’t think its a freebie. By your summation sir, would Mr. Reid or Mrs. Clinton or Mr. Obama be, “Simply fooling people to make mega $”? Is that even in the realm of possibility sir, or is it only someone that is bring it to everyones attention that Mr. Reid is going off task again that could possibly be fooling people?
You present nothing to substantiate what your saying here. Your not even addressing what Mr. Cruz was saying. Are you an expert on foreign policy? I’m not saying that Cruz is or that I am, however, how can you classify someone as a, “Clown”, if you yourself don’t know what the current policy is? It does change all the time with each and every decision, action, lack of action, threat, warning, hand kissing and bowing, demanding another countries flag being flown above ours on an American ship of war. Foreign policy is not an absolute. It is a continual process and largely depends on the people in power at the time.
Please Mr. Wood, first term has nothing to do with a person’s ability to think. It has nothing to do with someone demanding that elected officials stay on the task at hand and not go off on tangents. First term does not mean a person is ignorant or a hypocrite. In fact, first term means that it will take some time to find out if he is hypocritical. Again, on his free healthcare he was receiving, why would he not want it for us if it was so great for him before?

    • slf

Cruz may have been born in Canada but his mother is American, making him American also. You can’t keep playing that card when the the jackass in the Whitehouse hasn’t been proven to be American. Funny how so many of Obamas records have been sealed.

    • James Brown

there is no such thing as free health care anywhere. Somebody has to pay for it and in Canada the taxpayer pays all the health care bills, that is why their tax rates approach 60%. You need to learn the basic lessons about economics and the number one rule is there’s no such thing as a free lunch.

    • ooddballz

How many terms did Obumma have before he QUIT HIS JOB to run for president?
Bonus question: How many times did he vote present instead of taking any kind of stand on an issue?

  • Mannly

Harry the Reid just had his portrait taken… looks good…

    • Claire Garcia

Ah, that’s what they’re talking about when they call him Dingy Harry.

    • troytown

Mannly, why do u show a bulge? Shouldn’t it be flat?

  • Claire Garcia

    Preach it, Sen. Cruz!!

  • LeighLeigh

That is why I voted for him twice: once in the primary and then for Senate. He is a Houston boy through and through. Brilliant legal mind.

  • jgilman1

Maybe I have plane on the brain, but why does Ukraine need aid from us? They are not fighting back, they still have an economy (arguably better than ours) what for?

    • jrt

I agree with you about all this foreign aid and globalization. Its like when you have a family and one or more of the parents aren’t focusing on the family but off doing stuff for others so they can feel good about their achievements. The family always suffers.

I think Ted needs to use every example there is to expose the left.

      • ThunderBeard

Its less about helping Ukraine and more about stopping Russia and them “restoring” the USSR.

    • john

Billy Blight C and FuBar Ack (among others) had promissed to protect it and help if Ukraine disarm and get rid if its nukes. …
Ukraine did and now is defenseless.
Moral obligation, but not for DNC, naturlich…

  • Jamie

I am so proud of Ted Cruz for hitting back at Harry Reid. It’s about time someone showed some backbone. Reid has been name calling & lying on the Senate floor for way too long. Seems like Ted Cruz & Trey Gowdy are the only people in the House/Senate that have the gonads to go up against Reid & Obama.

  • jamesdickason

Reid is a hypocrite, plain and simple–

    • USMC 64-68

      He’s also a traitor.

  • Cheryl Anderson

Thank you, Ted Cruz, for having the courage to speak up. Harry Reid and his ilk have been disrespecting and denigrating their sovereigns (we the people) with impunity for too long. It’s about time they stopped trying to rule us, and started showing us the respect and fealty due a sovereign.

  • John Queue

Fearless in displaying his principles and doing exactly what his constituency voted him in to do. He has proven his worth, and his worth makes him worthy of the highest office in the land…CRUZ 2016!!!!

  • 1ares

Thank you Mr. Cruz for standing your ground and fighting for your principles.
Unlike you Mr. Cruz, and Palin, Gowdy and some others, I have yet to see a democrat take responsibility for the problems they themselves have caused.
Like the spoiled and entitled brats they are, it is always someone else’s fault. And Reid is just plain insane.

  • meistersuk

Exactly, the flogging of the Koch brothers repeatedly by Dingy Harry with never a mention of Soros has been irritating me for weeks. You are the only one with courage enough to call them out. Thank you for doing it so eloquently.

    • ApplePie101

For a party funded by a former Nazi collaborator (Soros) and led by a former KKK member (Byrd), the democrats do a lot of finger-pointing.

      • J.Galt

Especially at the other party (that ended slavery and passed the civil rights act)

    • USMC 64-68

It is a tried and true tactic of the communists – which the democrats have an inside track on their advice and assistance in carrying out their subversive activities.

  • jrt

How does Reid have the job that is paid for by citizens tax dollars

  • bbwh

    Beautiful, Cruz.

  • bbwh

Reid is so dirty. He’s lucky he has dirty Holder covering up his filth.

  • herb benty

Keep exposing the wickedness of Progressives/ Communists Mr. Cruz! The people of America applaud you and stand with you.

    • Robert Wietor

Cruz needs to go read some more children’s books by Dr. Seuss. He unfortunately missed the whole point of the story in the last one he read.

      • Glen Saunders

You need to go home to the third world sink hole you crawled out of….You don’t belong in my country.

        • Robert Wietor

Now now Glen, which country would you be talking about? The one YOU bought from the Native Americans? How about growing up just a little, eh?

          • J.Galt

Judging by glen’s avatar – that would be the country that he sweated and probably bled (and many like him died) for – they that give you the right to be a ignorant berk are they few that have a legitimate claim

            • Robert Wietor

If Glen did indeed serve, I commend him for it. I don’t commend those armchair politicians however, that got their own service deferred, yet have no problem sending off this country’s bravest to go die or be injured in a war based on lies, such as the one in Iraq, started by a Republican administration. Now we still have those types again rattling their armor trying to get us into a war with Russia.

              • Robert Wietor

I think some Republicans actually miss ol G.W.’s speeches to Americans as if they were children, hence their approval of Dr. Seuss book reading I suppose.

            • Larry West

i seriously doubt he’s the sargent major his avatar implies

      • herb benty

Brilliant! Why don’t you three trolls go back to Media Matters and say, “it’s not working”, as everyone knows the Koch family are good people.Soros and the unions spend far more than the KB, and they spend it for freedom. You commie ba—-d.

  • D_from_Tennessee

I’m about 5 comments down and every one of them have at least one cutsey clever play on words. How special. Amazing how the troops in the comments section lined up behind the next in line to be backed by Koch $. Many of the comments here are eerily similar. Did you go to school to learn how to come to the defense of someone who doesn’t give a rats ass about you?

    • badbadlibs

You obviously took lessons on stupidity, I’m going to cut you some slack and believe you weren’t born that way.

Did you know that the Koch brothers care a lot more about you then the first 59 in line of billionaire contributors. https://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/list.php
Your vile democrats were just bought for 100 million by Tom Steyer?
Did you notice that stunt by the democrats in the Senate last week? Steyer bought the United States Senate democrats for that promised sum of money to dem candidates, if they would only promise to advance his global warming crap sandwich.

      You people are pathetic.

    • USMC 64-68

I’d say by the “vote blue” avatar, you’re coming to the defense of the Marxist democrats who don’t give a rat’s ass about anyone, our Constitution, our rights or the nation.

For the progressives it’s all about power and control. You’re a commie sympathizer and not a patriot.

    • Glen Saunders

Reid’s a far left scumbag and you appear to be over there with him…….You are no Patriot.

    • waltercarlson

D from anywhere hate the country and want to kill the young and the old. D’s want to take from the workers and give to the retards who don’t want to work. I don’t know any of these bloggers and do not know the brothers from Texas.

  • john

the same Harry Reid? Like in “every Jane and Ha(i)ry Dick Reid”?
    A friendly reminder
of somebody else’s feelings toward those red scumbags:
“if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he
found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Osama bin Laden, there’s a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and bin Laden would be strangled to death.”

    • Dwight Louveau

lmao…….love that comment john, put down the rabid pig first!

  • Too funny. Posted by Sen Cruz on FB:

“I saw these posters popping up around Los Angeles, but I noticed a
glaring error in them. And since I don’t want people to get the wrong
idea about me, I wanted to be clear about something.

    I don’t smoke cigarettes.”

    Breitbart has the story:

  • PicklePlants

This is not about the Koch brothers, as Senator Cruz said, point 1 is that the aid package was not passed because of the misdirection of the Senate Majority Leader. The tools of his misdirection were the Koch brothers and the IRS, but this is about the dysfunctional leadership in place today. Harry Reid does not have the Senate business as his number 1 priority. Harry Reid is a total scum.

  • Butterflies are free

I so admire Mr. Cruz. He is on top of every issue. He certainly doesn’t let the Dems pull the wool over his eyes. Keep up the good work Mr. Ted.

  • gjsmith_62

Reid should be censured. Hey a guy can dream.

Wait, how about Reid requesting impeachment proceedings ASAP, then resigning?

    • casshern

are you retarted? why are you protecting koch brothers, have you no decency?

      • gjsmith_62

Are you a shill for Soros?

      • gjsmith_62

“OpenSecrets.org ranks Koch Industries (and its $18.14 million) as No. 59 on its list of “Heavy Hitters” who gave to candidates, parties, and leadership PACs between 1989 and 2014. The 58 bigger donors are overwhelmingly pro-Democrat and labor-union-dominated.”

        http://www.nationalreview.com/article/373959/kochs-add-life-deroy-murdock

Get back when Soros, Steyer and unions play a smaller part in US politics. Shill.

      • Jimbo Velasquez

Sen. Cruz has much more decency than Reid. As far as retarded, look in the mirror.

  • joecar1949

Dingy Harry is an Nobama mafia hitman. He is in a position of power to do the will of the dictator in Chief. He is treasonous to the core and needs to be lamp posted for his treachery.

  • Rick Forgot

the more I hear him the more I would vote for him

  • Ken A

Thank you Sen. Cruz for coming to the defense of two private American citizens. Reid, Obama and Soros should be in a federal penitentiary slow dancing with their cellmates…

  • Jimbo Velasquez

    BRAVO,Sen. Cruz.

  • Clarence Micke

Here is the difference between the Koch brothers and the billionaire who wants to get climate change laws passed. The climate change laws will benefit EVERYONE you f*n moron, The Koch brothers are interested in lining their pockets and being in control of the government without being elected. The whole lot of them should dropped on an island somewhere without a parachute and lets see who survives the drop.

    • Gamudeon

Maybe jeopardising millions of jobs and not replenishing those jobs with that bill is just great to you. No moron it’s not good. And now you make assumptions that these two private citizens want to take over government? I’m just laughing so hard right now! Wow.

    • Kathy McKinny

you are confusing them with George Soros. He WANTS control over the ENTIRE US!!!

    • Daniel Seagondollar

The discussion is about the impropriety of impugning the reputation of ANY American citizen on the floor of the U.S. Senate where a private citizen is deigned the opportunity to address those accusations. The things Reid stated would be considered slander, if stated out side the Senate chambers, and would be subject to civil lawsuit and civil penalties. Reid should not be the Leader of the Senate if he can’t maintain decorum on the Senate floor.

      • Daniel Seagondollar

Notice that Cruz very tactfully do not state anyone’s name regarding that personal democratic contributor in California. that’s the way the Senate leader should speak, not like Reid’s “a bully in a street fight” mentality.

    • waltercarlson

Clarence, my boy. Please give me ONE study that I can look up that proves co2 has been causing change in the climate of the world. I have asked this for years and have not gotten an answer. If the Koch brothers, whom 98% of America don’t know from Adam, had that much power how come the POTUS and the Senate are Democratic?

  • forrest

WE NEED MORE SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN TO STAND UP AND FIGHT BACK LIKE SEN. CRUZ. COURT JESTER REID WAS JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS FROM HIS LORD AND MASTER KING OBAMA WHEN HE OBJECTED TO THE PASSING OF THE HOUSE BILL AND WE ALL KNOW THAT. LOOK HOW IT HAS BEEN CHANGED.

  • JUde

He is awesome, we need many more like him to lead the Senate. He is un- afraid to stand up and tell Reid is is an idiot. He should have ask Reid that communist George Soros not being called out for controlling the Democrats to pass bill that would enrich Sorus and kill American jobs

  • Christopher Karetka

it’s corporate ceo’s that kill american jobs, less overhead, they don’t to pay for health insurance,’401k plans, workmen’s comp ins, etc, and underpay the overseas workers
