On Wednesday at CPAC 2014, The Right Scoop was one of many blogs and online news outlets to attend a Bloggers Briefing with Senator Ted Cruz. Among the questions the Senator answered was one about what the government, what Ted Cruz, can do for America’s children. His answer gets to the heart of conservative philosophy:
STOP HURTING OUR KIDS. Don’t let us be the deadbeats saddling future generations with insurmountable debt.
Any parent who has had extensive dealings with the public education system knows this feeling all too well. Cruz accurately and clearly states what so many people know to be true in his answer. And the truth is that this is not something that should be seen as a conservative or libertarian or liberal or progressive value. This a good old fashioned American value, outside of political bent.
As the Senator says. it’s not a 51% wedge issue. These are 90% issues.
The press would like you to think of Cruz as a demagogue. In this bloggers opinion, he’s simply the man who dares to tell the truth. A great answer, and a great philosophy worth sharing.
