THE FIVE RESPONDS: Bolling issues Mea Culpa, Gutfeld DOUBLES DOWN on Cruz criticism

Today on The Five, they responded to the criticisms they received for their poo-pooing of Ted Cruz yesterday. While Gutfeld doubled down on his criticism, suggesting people who didn’t like it were just being shallow crybabies, Bolling issued a mea culpa, suggesting he may have gone too far yesterday in his comments on Cruz:

Did you like how Gutfeld targeted 3 Tea Party losses and didn’t mention any of the other RINOs that lost? Nice.

I appreciate what Bolling said because he’s right, it’s too early to discount anyone yet. I don’t care if someone has a disagreement with a candidate on issues. That’s to be expected. But to suggest they can’t win based on something that isn’t all that important is careless. After all, there should be far more to the man we want to be president than just experience. As Levin pointed out yesterday, we aren’t electing a manager. We are electing a leader.

As for Gutfeld, his comments yesterday were that Cruz is all about Cruz and his goals are unrealistic. Today he said Cruz isn’t a good speaker. Honestly, I just don’t see the evidence for any of his criticisms. Cruz is a fantastic speaker and as I said yesterday, he’s been fighting for the people since he’s been in the Senate. And Reagan was told his goals were unrealistic too.

Honestly, it just doesn’t sound like Gutfeld has any substantive criticisms of Cruz. Maybe he already has a horse and just wants to poo poo Cruz to help his horse. I don’t know. But if he’s going to criticize Cruz, he needs to do better than this. Otherwise people are going to begin assuming he has another agenda.
