THIS IS AWESOME: A parent’s RESPONSE to her child being taught about Islam at school

A parent in California refused to let her son complete homework on the Five Pillars of Islam, writing on the worksheet “My son will not be a part of this!” and then posted it to Facebook:

EAG NEWS – Tara Cali posted a photo of a worksheet on Facebook she says was handed out in her son’s 7th grade history class.

Titled, “Islamic Beliefs and Practices,” students were to list the Five Pillars of Islam and scan a QR code with a mobile phone or tablet, which would take them to a YouTube video of “a call to prayer at the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.”

Cali was incensed by the lesson and made it clear her son would not be completing it.

Here’s what she wrote on the assignment:

Awesome. Love her response. This is getting ridiculous as she points out. While the school claims that this is simply part of a course that looks at Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, this parent notes that there’s never been anything like this worksheet for Christianity sent home with her son.

In case you were curious, here’s the Blue Mosque in Istanbul video that was given to the children. It’s the Islamic call to prayer of all things:

Ugh.
