THIS IS NOT A JOKE: Veterans are DYING while waiting for care on VA hospital’s SECRET LIST

I just watched this CNN report and honestly, I can’t yet summon the words to appropriately express my outrage. CNN is reporting that Veterans on a secret VA list have DIED while waiting for care at the VA Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

This secret list, according to a retired VA doctor, has the names of between 1,400 to 1,600 sick veterans who are waiting months and months for care. The waiting times are so long that some of them are dying, and when that happens, their names are simply removed from the secret list and no one ever knows that person was even scheduled for an appointment.

If, however, a veteran gets within two weeks of their appointment, their name is moved to another list which is available to the public. This list is nothing more than a facade created to make the VA look good, as if everything is going splendidly.

In the report below, CNN interviews a family whose 71-year-old father died last year while waiting for care. Even after being designated as an urgent case, it was still almost four months before the VA called and said they could see him. By that point he had died of Stage 4 bladder cancer. His name was Thomas Breen and he was a Navy veteran.

This is just so outrageous and I can’t believe it’s happening in America.
