Rep. Trey Gowdy methodically torches the claims being made in the Benghazi hearing, slamming Ambassador Rice and Jay Carney for the claims they made to the American people after months and months of a pattern of escalating violence in Libya and Benghazi. Gowdy wants Ambassador Rice under oath to tell us who gave her the intelligence that led her to make false statements to the American people.

This is a must watch:

When it comes to this corrupt administration, I’ve just about given up all hope of ever learning the truth about anything. They never are held accountable for anything. I also never see any outrage.

    • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

As I wrote a while back:

Nixon broke laws that disgraced the Presidency, so he did the honorable thing and resigned.

Obama calls breaking laws like that, “Tuesday.”

    • p m

Messrs. Gowdy and Chaffetz are righteously outraged, as we are – and it’s spreading, so there is hope that this time they are caught and held accountable.

      • bobemakk

The Clinton and Obama administrations got away with all the screwups they made and it will continue as long as the democrats are in control. Pray that Romney and Paul win this election.

  • nibblesyble

I was waiting for this…pass the popcorn pls. Way to kick tail Gowdy!

As entertaining as it is to watch Gowdy do his thing, I must stress that it is very serious work and I am heartened that it is he and Issa that are on our side; for us and for the men that lost their lives needlessly.

    • Orangeone

I can only hope that Trey Gowdy is briefing Mitt Romney for the foreign policy debate!

    • Dukehoopsfan

Issa is looking more like a paper tiger to me. I would love to see some action to go along with the talk.

  • Rshill7

I watched this live on C-Span and am still watching it as I type. Both Gowdy and Mike Kelly (of Pennsylvania) were awesome. Jim Jordan of Ohio is also great.

They need to subpoena Carney and Rice, and grill them to find out who told them to say what they said to the American people and to the press.

Our people were hung out to dry, and we were lied to. There’s no sugarcoating it. We were lied to. Rice and Carney asserted those lies as “fact” and “concrete evidence”.

Nevermind that though. Let’s focus on Big Bird!

    • Betsey_Ross

“Our people were hung out to dry.” They sure were and I want to know why. As time passes it looks as if it was deliberate. As Gowdy said, they were told “no” to more security and yet they still did their jobs. They stood tall as Americans.

Of all the terrible and stupid things both Hillary and Obama have done this is #1 on my list as the very worst. Both have shown their incompetence. We need answers and we will get them.

    • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

The all important Big Bird caucus.

  • JeffWRidge

Beautifully said Rep. Gowdy. The American people need answers for why this happened. First our ambassador and three other Americans are murdered, and then we are lied to about how and why it happened and who was responsible. It’s almost as if the current administration thinks that a lie is preferable to the truth, no matter what the subject might be.

  • http://twitter.com/opedanderson Paul Anderson

Obama needs to see this. The MSM in bed with him needs to see it as well…..

    • unclesamnephew

why? they will either lie some more or place the blame on some one else

  • poljunkie

Trey Gowdy is awesome. You can always count on him to tell it like it is!

  • chatterbox365

I like Gowdy a lot…he knows how to call out people to the carpet. The Administration would love to bury this, but we need to keep this front and center. I can’t even imagine what those four brave souls went through that night or anyone who has lost their life for America during this campaign. Very sad…

When I hear about all these scandals and cover-ups, it makes me wonder about the crap we don’t know about. This White House is so dirty….disgusting!

    • patriot59201

Obama, Clinton, Rice and Carney (and many more) are MURDERERS just as if they pulled the trigger themselves! Sacrificing Ambassador Stevens and the three other brave Americans on the alter of their ideology! And then lie. I despise them.

Meanwhile, I will be waiting for the truth….

  • Hardnox

Excellent! I thought congress was in recess. When did Gowdy make this speech?

    • Orangeone

The hearings started today. Congress might be in recess but this Committee is not. Notice the empty chairs? Likely the Democrats missing in action as always.

      • Hardnox

        Thanks for the update.

  • Joseph ewing

I have not thus far been familiar with Mr. Gowdy.

I’ll be paying more attention in the future. Damn nice job on his part.

    • indthinker

I love when this man’s hair is on fire!!

    • Orangeone

Search You Tube for Trey Gowdy and Fast & Furious and Eric Holder contempt hearings. If you want to see flames, you would see them in those speeches.

  • Slickfoot

This, children is what an Atty General of the United States of America should look like.

    • Orangeone

Tweet Mitt Romney! Gowdy will kick @ss and take no prisoners. I would love to see him go after O’Bambi, Carney, Rice, Hitlary, Holder, Reid after O’Bambi is tossed out of office.

  • Republichick

Getting more and more excited about the debate covering foreign policy. You think Mitt’s gonna ‘go there’? Gotta be hard for Mitt to prepare for the debate. So much crap coming out every day.

    • las1

Yeah… I can see Mitt’s opening remarks now:

Moderator: “Governor, would you like to make your opening remarks on America’s foreign policy?”

Governor Romney: “Thank you. Yes I would. Where to start?”

    • p m

He’s getting intelligence briefings now too. They’re classified but will give him an overview, maybe crystallize is own thinking. They must be showing him just how dangerous zero’s pro-islam and pro-Russia policies are to the US.

  • colliemum

What a difference to the Dems who were bending over backwards to whitewash the State dept, to soothe Ms Lamb when she was forced to actually answer!

  • marketcomp

    The President just doesn’t care!

    • unclesamnephew

i disagree. did you see the documentary “Obama 2016″. or haven’t you heard the statement of Obama “fundamentally transform America”? he cares alright! he cares to destroy America

  • WinMissouri

Trey Gowdy is great, but why didn’t he bring up the statements of Hillary and Obama, they too said it was a video.

  • BlueGood

I teared up at the last minute of Mr. Gowd’ys EXCELLENT and righteous demands for the truth.

Hillary Clinton AND “O’Bama bin Lyin” must be sworn in to testify as well!

Do Democrats so disdain American’s lives they will try to maintain LIES to cover their sorry skinny and Fat Azzes???

    It is me thinks so….

Honest People like Mr. Gowdy, Romney & Ryan will FIX IT ….I trust!

The Libya Murders will be shoved up your skinny azz, SIDEWAYS next DEBATE Mr. Empty Chair President….

My guess is 120 MILLION people and Big Bird, will WATCH YOU FAIL!…..and GET STUFFED!!!!

  • MiketheMarine

I’m so pissed I don’t trust myself to comment folks. I’ll be back with you tomorrow. I need to go shoot the crap out of some papers target with pictures of a few well known people on them.

    • http://www.therightscoop.com/ The Right Scoop

I’m gonna need video of that.

      • MiketheMarine

Never gonna happen. When I am in my “shooter” persona, I’m invisable. LOL BTW, I feel much better today. Of course, now I need to restock my .45 ACP ammo.

    • las1

      I hear ya.

I won’t even tell you which pictures to get. You’ll do a fine job… I’m sure.

    • Orangeone

We’ll be waiting for your excellent insight and commentary!

    • bongobear

Shoot straight and true, Mike. Keep your powder dry.

      Semper Fi Marine.

    • Nukeman60

I’ll be curious to know how tight a grouping you can do on the ‘nether regions’. :)

  • BeyondPolls

    Another epic speech by Gowdy.

    • indthinker

Does he give any other kind?

      • BeyondPolls

        Nope!

  • indthinker

Like a tiger going after a piece of meat – love Trey Gowdy. Oh by the way, I think I’ve heard more about the president and his beer summit a few years back (that he had no business addressing) then I’ve heard him speak about this brutal attack.

  • kong1967

I can’t stand Jay Carney, but he’s just the messenger. If you want to get to the root of the problem you have to get to the people giving him the narrative. He’s just a voice for the WH. When I hear him talk, I don’t blame him…I blame Obama. No matter who does the job, if they don’t repeat the narrative they will be fired. Ok, maybe they should say “no, I will not repeat that lie”, but you’re just going to get the lie from a different messenger.

Fire Obama on November 6th. We won’t have to worry about all the little guys taking the fall for the #1 POS any more. I’m getting tired of everyone around Obama taking the fall while he walks away with a huge smile on his face.

    • Orangeone

I lov ya kong but I have to disagree. I do hold Carney responsible. Anyone with the slightest bit of ethics and integrity would tell O’Bambi to shove it when told to lie about American lives lost, Mexican families destroyed because of F&F and on and on and on.

      • kong1967

Oh, so that’s how it’s gonna be, huh? (lol) We’re gonna have our first fight! Just kidding. :)

I would agree with you if we were talking about Rice, but we have to look at what Carney’s job is. It’s not his job to analyze the facts or to determine what the truth is. He is not an intelligence officer or anyone with any kind of authority at all, and he does not determine policy or what is fact or fiction. He does not have the freedom to speak his own opinions while being the spokesman for someone else. Wouldn’t it defeat the purpose of having a press secretary if he was speaking for himself? He would no longer be the messenger, he would be a pundit the WH could never trust no matter how loyal.

In my opinion, if you cannot stomach what the WH is telling you to say….resign. But I don’t think it serves the process well to expect the press secretary to give his own opinions.

That said, I do blame Carney for being a loyalist to a corrupt administration. I would have resigned because my reputation is on the line as well. But I don’t think I can hold Carney responsible for what the administration tells him the facts are. Who is in the better position to know them? Carney or Obama?

        • WinMissouri

If Carney had any ethics and integrity he would resign before he lied to fellow Americans. A person with character would rather not have a job than lie to the American people. Wishful thinking?!

Too many Democrats have no integrity or ethics.

          • p m

I always assumed from his language (we, us etc.) that he was part of the strategizing – a not so innocent ‘just following orders’ type of scumbag.

            • kong1967

I wouldn’t think so, but you could be right. He may not merely be a messenger. He could be helping come up with ideas on what lies to tell us.

          • kong1967

I completely agree. The fact that Carney is willing to come out and spew the WH nonsense when it is very damaging to national security says a lot about his character. There will always be someone willing to do it for the money. But when the media asks him questions they are wanting the WH point of view, not his. Carney is doing his job exactly like it should be done, even though he makes himself just as unethical as the Marxist in Chief.

        • Orangeone

Okay put ‘em up, LOL.  Sorry if my post was unclear.  My point would be that anyone with an ounce of ethics and integrity would resign not be used as a puppet.  With that said, I agree that press secretary is a messenger appointment true enough.

          • kong1967

We completely agree. Fight’s over. I have to go put a steak on my eye now, lol.

            • Orangeone

You had to tempt me with steak didn’t ya….

              • kong1967

Food is the way to a person’s heart. :)

                • Orangeone

Fire up the grill, I’m on my way

                • kong1967

                  :)

  • http://navalwarfare.blogspot.com/ Libertyship46

Wow, that was some speech. And he’s right, too. As Americans, AMERICANS, we have a right to know why we were lied to in such a bold-faced manner. If both the State Department and our intelligence services knew within 24 hours that this was a terrorist attack, why did Rice lie 5 days later on national TV saying that this was because of a video nobody saw? This is worse than Watergate because we have four brave dead people here, people that certainly did NOT deserve to die this way. And if we don’t get the truth, they will have died for nothing. As AMERICANS we should all demand answers when fellow AMERICANS are murdered this way. This goes beyond party lines. We still are an American family and when some of us are brutally murdered we want to bring those responsible to justice. As of today, we still do not have either the truth or justice for the people who were murdered here, and that should get ALL AMERICANS angry and demand answers.

  • Army_Pilot1967

I wish more people in D.C. would get as adamant about getting some finite answers to the Benghazi attack as Rep. Gowdy. He wants answers from obama’s administration, but all he’s getting is stonewalling, but he’ll keep after obama’s minions until he gets some answers!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Elee-Zimmerman/1186792881 Elee Zimmerman

Meh. Nothing will ever come of this. Sad, though, but probably true.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_H7FEKYRPO27DV3U5SCOION6M7U Chris

    THANK YOU

  • anyonebutbarry2012

we need more in congress like gowdy, we have a few who speak out, like allen west, steve and peter king, we need to vote out mccaain, boehner, cantor all those rino losers, who lets this administration get away with mur der. first F&F Now this.

  • Sober_Thinking

This man moves me with his eloquent and powerful statements.

I hope they don’t let up… he makes them look utterly incompetent and guilty as few others can. America deserves honest answers and I pray these people get it.

  • John3_3

Wowsers! I like this guy. That’s what you call a torching!

  • bongobear

I imagine the libs hate Gowdy…the guy is awesome.

  • StandProudNow

    Lord, I LOVE this Man!

  • DebbyX

After putting their feet to the fire in this manner, I’m always waiting for an answer from this “Administration”. So far, all I hear is crickets.

  • deeme

You were lied to because it was two months before an election..We can not be the first President attacked since 9/11…We don’t take blame well but have a really overused blamey finger we love to point at people..we also for some reason don’t like to blame “terrorists” for things we can blame Americans and Freedom of Speech on…we also don’t like to denigrate Muslims…but all other Religions are denigrated on a regular basis…

  • 911Infidel

Stunned silence in the audience. Didn’t hear any objections even from the ranking Dhimirat. Oops. Must be that truth thing biting the regime in the rear end again.

Bravo Mr Gowdy. That was an outstanding commentary on the needless deaths of four brave people.

    • Orangeone

The reigning Dhimirat is busy investigating True The Vote claiming racism in voter ID.

      • 911Infidel

That’s because his brain never got out of the 50’s and 60’s. If he moved “forward” into the present he would lose his job and his friends. Truth is too revolutionary and comes with a price for any Dhimi that decides to buck the party line. Just go ask Stacy Dash.

        • Orangeone

I’m now following Stacey Dash on Twitter. She is very courageous and delivered a great message on Piers Morgan’s show.
The Dhimi is calling Benghazi-gate partisan (no surprises here) and blaming Rs because he voted to cut embassy security.  How low can they go?

          • 911Infidel

I got more respect for snakes than these clowns. Oh and tell Stacy (I don’t mess with Twitter) that she is a georgeous, brave young woman and that she should stick to her guns. You probably already did that…??

            • Orangeone

911Infidel, I will tweet your message to Stacey Dash.  And yes I did tell her she is very courageous and welcomed her to the party that embraces our Constitution.

              • 911Infidel

                Very cool. Thanks.

  • Landscaper

We (planned in 2011) are re-locating to Greenville, SC in Feb. 2013. This man will be my NEW Rep. I was thrilled to hear him speak today. Gowdy has our future vote !!!

    • Orangeone

Research him on You Tube. He did an outstanding job on Fast & Furious and the Holder contempt proceedings.

      • Landscaper

We loved Greenville, it has a lot to offer. Seeing Trey Gowdy today made our decision all the much sweeter !

  • Philo Beddoe

Gowdy is correct with his comments but even if rice is under oath, nothing will ever happen.

    Look at Fast and Furious.

These politicians walk the fine line, they do enough to embarrass the opposition, but really nothing to indict them.

They all cover for each other

  • Orangeone

Love this man enough to want to move to South Carolina!

  • http://www.facebook.com/therese.porter Therese Lynn Porter

I can’t figure out how and why General Petraeus is keeping quiet and not blowing the lid off this corrupt administration! How he and the military can sit there and watch these sleazy statists totally destroy us bit by bit is beyond me. Might I remind them that their duty is to this nation first and foremost, not to these pathetic people we call our leaders. We are living in a nightmare and I think it’s going to get worse. I only pray some real leaders take action and remove these traitors from power.

  • http://twitter.com/shanisue shannon devaney

I was overcome with emotion and teared up when i watched the hearing today and his piece, and then reminded myself of the complete lack of emotion when our President spoke about this loss and still to have to see Dems reaching to say Romney’s name in the mix. RIDICULOUS

  • 3seven77

How many of you have ever seen Susan Rice out there speaking to the media for anything? I don’t recall ever seeing her before the Benghazi terrorist attack and to tell the truth I didn’t even know who she was. So why would the administration send her out to do the talking?

Hillary was out there making appearances with the Boy King but she never went on any of the network Sunday shows. So why Rice? I think Susan Rice is the designated flunkie in this debacle. If things go downhill she takes the fall. I wonder what they promised her to get her to fall on the sword?

    • louisiana_mom

Susan Rice is the chosen sacrificial scapegoat. I’m just surprise she hasn’t already been “relieved” of her duties to deflect from having this hearing occur during the campaign…

  • LeonidasOfSparta1957

I love this guy! So, when will O and Hill be making a public apology to the AMERICAN people?…my guess…NEVER!

  • p m

    Magnificent, Mr.Gowdy.

  • Stephanie T

Thank God that people in power are asking the right questions. Mr. Gowdy’s statements should be broadcast during the 7th inning stretch of one of the baseball playoff games to ensure that as many people as possible hear his words. Unfortunately, that is where the attention of many Americans is focused at this time, not on C-SPAN. Reach them where they are.

  • LuscombeFlyer

It’s just a crying shame that we don’t have a Gowdy/Ryan ticket to vote for next month.

  • sjmom

Congressman Gowdy definitely spoke for me. He’s a good man.

  • PVG

    BRAVO! Attorney General material!!!

  • car2can

I’m so mad about the deaths of these 4 innocent Americans in Bengazi and the lack of respect paid to them both before and after their deaths that I could scream! Due to the undying loyalty of the mainstream media to Obama, there are people out there that still don’t have a clue that this was a terrorist attack. Informed Americans want the heads of the persons who perpetrated these assassinations on a platter. Obama refuses to avenge their deaths out of fear of offending the militiants, terrorists or whatever he’s calling them. He doesn’t have any problem fluffing up his chest feathers and being offensive to them in bragging about taking down Osama Bin Laden, does he?

  • stage9

The gutless wonders on the other side could care less. Why? Because there is no accountability in Washington, and so long as there is no accountability, no justice will ever be served and American soldiers and diplomats will continue to be murdered in vain.

Spot on, on Evey point and some. This is what being a representative of the people should be all about. Asking the tough questions that need to be asked of any administration that acts, and conducts itself as a rogue entity beholden to no one.
Sadly this is not going to get resolve until after the election. And by then it will probably be swept under the rug and will be rarely mentioned again.

  • Hologram5

Trey is my HERO! This guy is SPOT ON! EVERY TIME!

  • bobemakk

Great video, glad these reps are showing their disgust with this administration and all its lies.

  • Tall, Dark and Handsome

Gowdy for Attorney General ! He was generous in not saying the our president ( intentionally not caps) went before the UN on 9/25 and basically blamed Benghazi on ” The Video”.
We are governed by liars and clowns and on November 6th I vote and I will get even with them.

  • PatriotInk

Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice and Jay Carney are cold, heartless, lowlife pieces of trash. When they lied, they were speaking on behalf of muslim savages, not Americans that died in the service of our country. And, they used a video to try to divert attention away from what actually happened. Treasonous refuse. They make me sick on my stomach.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_IJYM277N7VJNF772U6DUVQKHAE TIMERUNNER

You are a true American and are respected by us in San Diego, California.

  • randalbyrd

Gowdy should be ashamed, and  his colleagues should too for his blatant lying.

What did Susan Rice REALLY say on “This Week”? That the offensive video caused the violence in Benghazi?
Of course, not! She said that’s what caused the protests in ANOTHER COUNTRY!
“In Cairo, as you know, a few hours earlier, there was a violent protest that was undertaken in reaction to this very offensive video that was disseminated.”

So it was Cairo and NOT BENGHAZI!  WOW!
Talk about a lot of nerve? Gowdy should be run out of Washington.  Wow, these Obama haters will lie at the drop of a hat. They never let the facts get in the way of a good smear.
