A few minutes ago Trump called out “Little Adam Schiff” of on Twitter, labeling him one of the “biggest liars and leakers” in Washington and saying he must be stopped:
Little Adam Schiff, who is desperate to run for higher office, is one of the biggest liars and leakers in Washington, right up there with Comey, Warner, Brennan and Clapper! Adam leaves closed committee hearings to illegally leak confidential information. Must be stopped!

To be honest, I’ve no doubt this is true. I think most people have probably surmised this over the last year as leak after leak has come out of these classified congressional hearings.
And I don’t trust him at all and do think he is a liar.
But that said Trump really shouldn’t be attacking Schiff like this. He’s POTUS, not some Fox News commentator on Fox News. While I agree with his assessment, he offers no proof to back up his claims and to many it will look like he’s trying to undermine Schiff and the Democratic memo that is coming out.
I also think that by attacking Schiff like this, he’s elevating him on the left as some kind of anti-Trump hero. Schiff probably loves it.
Look, if Trump has a ‘leak’ case to make against him, he should let his DOJ make it. That would be the proper way to ‘stop’ Schiff. Otherwise he should stop making unsubstantiated claims as they only prove to undermine him and his administration as they attempt to spin for him.
