El Presidente Trumpo is having a YUGE today – earlier he announced that there will be tons of executive orders on immigration including the border wall and Syrian refugees. And on his Twitter account he’s threatening to use the heavy hand of the federal government if Chicago doesn’t shape up:
If Chicago doesn't fix the horrible "carnage" going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 25, 2017
Wow. That is… remarkable.
And I don’t think it would be as controversial as a lot of people might think – Mayor Rahm Emanuel has been getting slammed by leftists for not fixing the crime problem already. Now they’re not all gonna welcome federal intervention, but some might.
Like these people:

So, on the 5th day, the President censored the entire federal government, banned an entire religion & declared martial law on a major city. https://t.co/ZVhHdR7Ltb

And conservatives aren’t too happy with it either:
This is not how federalism works. https://t.co/ro8roNO7wT

Spicer tomorrow: "Pres. Trump has long believed he can "send in the Feds" when he sees something he doesn't like. He's long believed that." https://t.co/Qb7UohCYhF

Trump's answer to everything so far has been more government, in case the conservatives who pushed him so hard haven't realized it yet. https://t.co/b2N0RVn1nq

We’re entering into a whole new realm of government intervention here, folks. Better buckle up.
