The reporting in the last day or so suggested that Trump was trying to get top security clearance for his children and that he wanted Jared Kushner to join him in the daily intelligence briefings.
But Trump came out this morning and squashed that reporting with this tweet:
I am not trying to get "top level security clearance" for my children. This was a typically false news story.

His spokesman told CNN basically the same thing:
(Correcting name) Jason Miller: Donald Trump "has not made any request for security clearance" for family members https://t.co/66RxLwfdwB

Trump went on a few minutes later to hammer the NY Times for its false reporting on the transition, saying it is going smoothly:
The failing @nytimes story is so totally wrong on transition. It is going so smoothly. Also, I have spoken to many foreign leaders.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 16, 2016
I have recieved and taken calls from many foreign leaders despite what the failing @nytimes said. Russia, U.K., China, Saudi Arabia, Japan,

Australia, New Zealand, and more. I am always available to them. @nytimes is just upset that they looked like fools in their coverage of me.

Last night, well before his morning tweet storm, Trump made it sound like Cabinet Apprentice when he tweeted this out about the transition:
Very organized process taking place as I decide on Cabinet and many other positions. I am the only one who knows who the finalists are!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 16, 2016
Leave it to Trump to make something so serious sound like a reality show competition where there are finalists!
Regarding the transition news… Honestly, I don’t really care about all the reported drama in this transition team selection process. It will get done, just like any other administrative task, and Trump will go on to be inaugurated in January and anything that happened will be a forgotten memory as Trump is president next year. The media is just looking for a story to keep their post-election ratings as high as they can get them.
