Trump says AT&T-Time Warner merger would NOT happen under his presidency

El Trumpo gave the best speech probably ever given at Gettysburg today when he vindictively said he would sue every single woman who accused him of harassment, and then launched into a critique of the AT&T-Time Warner merger announced today.

Here’s what he says:

This is really odd to me. I doubt that he knows or cares about the intricacies of multinational media company mergers, so why is he zeroing in on this? Is it just blind stupid anger at CNN, or is there something else going on here?

It didn’t seem to scare off either AT&T or Time Warner who announced afterward that they’re going ahead with the merger:

Here more from the Wall Street Journal:

AT&T Inc. has reached an agreement to buy Time Warner Inc. for more than $80 billion, according to people familiar with the plans, in a deal that would transform the phone company into a media giant.

The wireless carrier agreed to pay between $105 and $110 a share, these people said. The deal is half cash and half stock, according to one of the people.

The deal is likely to be announced as soon as Saturday evening after the boards of the two companies meet to approve the transaction, the people said.

So what’s the deal here? Why did Trump all of a sudden have a very specific policy after being vague for months on everything else?
