President Trump made it clear to the citizens of Egypt what the United States’ stance is on the terrorists who struck them this morning in his tweeting today.
Horrible and cowardly terrorist attack on innocent and defenseless worshipers in Egypt. The world cannot tolerate terrorism, we must defeat them militarily and discredit the extremist ideology that forms the basis of their existence!

This is what many on the left thought Trump wouldn’t do – separate the extremist terrorist elements of Islam with the common person trying to live their life. But they won’t give him any credit for it of course.
He continued:
Will be calling the President of Egypt in a short while to discuss the tragic terrorist attack, with so much loss of life. We have to get TOUGHER AND SMARTER than ever before, and we will. Need the WALL, need the BAN! God bless the people of Egypt.

Here I have some issues – I’m not sure “tougher and smarter” is always prudent or even possible. Egypt has not been a snowflake in going after terrorists. How much tougher can you get before skirting with your own principles? IN any case, it’s good that he’s signaling to potential partners in the war on terror that we’re on their side, and we’re not simply equating all Muslims as terrorists.
Then again, this is Twitter, and we all know how meaningless tweets are….
