It’s probably not a totally fair fight considering Hillary is still trying to beat Bernie Sanders, but this is the latest polling average from Real Clear Politics on all the new polls that have come out in the last month on Trump vs Hillary:
Clinton leads by 3 points.
The only thing I don’t like about this is the last one, the CNN/ORC outlier, which clearly skews the average in Hillary’s direction. If we remove that one, here’s what we have:
Trump – – – 43%
Hillary – – 44.2%
Instead of being up by over 3 points, Hillary is up by 1 point. Not a huge difference, I agree, but enough to show this race is even tighter than any single poll shows.
Also, it’s still very early and tons of race-changing things will happen between now and November. So who knows where this will actually end up as we get near the end.
