Turkey rolls out the red carpet for President Abbas visit

Erdogan criticizes Netanyahu for showing up at the march, accusing him of atrocities and saying he should be ashamed or something.

Then he meets with the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and rolls out the red carpet for him, including having 16 men dressed in military outfits of previous Turkish Empires that ruled in Central or Western Asia.

HURRIYET DAILY NEWS – Turkey’s new presidential palace witnessed a “dress show” during a welcoming ceremony for a visiting head of state for the first time on Jan. 12.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shook hands flanked by the costumed retinue, before moving on to the meeting room for bilateral talks.
