Turns out Ben Carson might just get a Cabinet position after all…

Trump revealed this morning that he is seriously considering Ben Carson for a cabinet position in his administration, but it’s not the one you’d expect:

Being a leading pediatric neurosurgeon for decades, you’d think Carson would be considered for Health and Human Services. But then you’d also think that Bolton would be Secretary of State, and look how that’s going.

Considering Trump tweeted it for everyone to see, Carson probably has the job locked up.

It’s also being reported that Sarah Palin isn’t being considered at all for a Cabinet position:

NY POST – Sarah Palin’s isn’t in the running for a cabinet job in the Trump administration — at least as far as the senior adviser to his transition team is aware.

“I know that they’re close and that she’s been a great, loyal friend and adviser to him throughout the campaign, but I haven’t seen her as part of the cabinet mix,” Kellyanne Conway told Fox News’ “The Kelly File” on Monday night.

Conway quickly added: “But that doesn’t mean that she’s not.”

I expect Trump found out very quickly just how his ardent fans felt about Sarah Palin when he had her on the campaign trail and that might have something to do with her not being considered at this point. Or maybe he thinks she has too much baggage for his administration to carry or she’ll be too much of a target by the left.

Who knows, but it’ll surprise me if we see her with a lead job in his administration.
