Turns out Trump’s Taiwan call was planned for MONTHS

Trump’s Taiwan call wasn’t simply a congratulations on winning the presidency. According to reports this morning, it was planned for months:

DC EXAMINER – President-elect Donald Trump’s historic phone call with the leader of Taiwan was meant to be provocative.

The phone call on Friday between Trump and Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen had been planned for months, people involved with the planning told the Washington Post.

It was the first time leaders of the two countries have spoken since 1979.

After Trump won the election, his team compiled a list of foreign leaders to arrange calls with.

“Very early on, Taiwan was on that list,” said Stephen Yates, a national security official during the presidency of George W. Bush and an expert on China and Taiwan. “Once the call was scheduled, I was told that there was a briefing for President-elect Trump. They knew that there would be reaction and potential blowback.”

If it was meant to be provocative, why did Trump play it down in the media that it was just a congratulations? Also, he made a point to say that Taiwan called him, not the other way around. But according to this, they planned the call.

I think it’s great that Trump had a phone call with Taiwan’s Prime Minister. China doesn’t dictate who we speak with and we should be standing up to them.

Also, Obama negotiated nuclear deal with Iran of all countries. Where’s the media outrage over that?
