UGH: Even though all evidence isn’t in, famous rappers release “Don’t Shoot” dedicated to Michael Brown

So even though we are still waiting for all the evidence to come in on the Michael Brown shooting, several famous rappers, organized by The Game, have already made up their minds that Mike Brown was innocent when he was shot by Officer Darren Wilson and have released a new track called “Don’t Shoot“, comparing Brown to Emmett Till and Trayvon Martin:

USA TODAY – All all-star team of hip-hop artists, including The Game, Rick Ross, Diddy and 2 Chainz, have collaborated on a track dedicated to Michael Brown called Don’t Shoot.

Grammy-nominated rapper The Game assembled the group, which also includes Fabolous, Wale, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beatz, Yo Gotti, Currensy, Problem, King Pharaoh and R&B vocal trio TGT.

On the track, rappers place Brown in a lineage that includes both Trayvon Martin and Emmett Till, a black teenager murdered in Mississippi in 1955. Others draw parallels between the attention focused on the situation in Ferguson and that given the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

“Time to take a stand and save our future/Like we all got shot, we all got shot,” TGT sings in the song’s hook. “Throwin’ up our hands, don’t let them shoot us/’Cause we all we got, we all we got.”
