Um, ya think there’s more to this story?

REDSTATE – News has broken that Wendy Davis lied about her background. She is now playing victim blaming Greg Abbott.

It is her ex-husband who talked to a left-of-center Dallas reporter. It is also her ex-husband who asked a Texas District Court to issue a temporary restraining order against Wendy Davis in 2003.

In that order, the judge ordered that Wendy Davis “be immediately restrained from . . . using illegal drugs or consuming alcohol within 24 hours before or during the period of possession of or access to the child.”

Speaking of the child, at the time her twelve year old daughter requested her father serve as her managing conservator.

UPDATE: This may not be what it was cracked up to be. According to Gabriel Malor, attorney, this is nothing more than standard boilerplate:

The last thing I want to do is smear someone. If for some reason this is different than what Malor suggests, then I’ll let you know. Perhaps Erick Erickson has more to this story that he can share. If he does, I’ll post a follow up. But for now it looks like this is a nothing-burger.

She gets a pass on lying on her “resume”, alcohol and drug use and whatever else comes up

    It’s OK she’s a Liberal!

    • AwakenNow

Hell NO. NO pass in Texas for lying and drug use.

  • http://PolitiBrew.com Rshill7

I always cook my nothing burgers on a standard divorce boilerplate. Love a blue cheese slice on it too, with sauteed onions, ‘shrooms, and my wife’s extremely special sauce.

However, I don’t think one should run for Governor of Texas on the sole platform of killing incomparable innocence or filibustering the curbing of such a heinous practice.

Cuomo could use her up there. She could use him too. New York and Texas should engage in a mutual swap meet.

I wonder what her child thinks of mommy dearest’s views on abortion.

  • Crassus

Wendy looks like she could suck a tennis ball through a garden hose.

  • Stehekin912

The daughter wanted her dad. is that boilerplate, too? Just wondering.

Being a drug-addled lush is boilerplate, huh.

  • yennikcm

    Piss test the @#$%

  • imatellau

Hail Satan, Hail Satan, Hail Satan!!!
I’m Wendy Davis and I approved this ad.

  • Autonoe

If this woman becomes Governor of Texas, the devil will have frostbite.

  • harglide

I believe this so-called-woman, is done! I feel she will fail to get the votes for TX, AND the way things are going, even with the “so called friends” she has, well I hope they grow a brain and see what a flippin FAKE SHE IS!!
    Look at her history!
Drudge has a fantastic view about her so called marriage at 19, and in fact it took years later. She lied to many courts to get her where she is…..
SO, WHAT THE HECK IS NEXT, Loser Wendy???

  • tinlizzieowner

I’m surprised she didn’t claim to be part Native American. ;-) ;-)

  • Nukeman60

When a judge is asked to issue a temporary restraining order, and in that order is the request to refrain from illegal drugs and alcohol use within a 24 hour period just prior to access to a child, he usually demands proof of a necessity for said restraining order.

It isn’t just your normal mumbo-jumbo lawyer doublespeak and antics. I feel there MUST be more to this story than anyone wants us to know about.

Rather than being just a nothing-burger, it sounds to me to be more of a sh*t sandwich. I’m just saying…

BTW, is use of illegal drugs ok then, outside of that 24 hour period? I thought illegal meant illegal. Oh, wait. These are Democrats. It must mean “undocumented drugs”.

    • Darrell Griffin

Add to that that she’s the female. In divorce, custody, and similar issues if the court sanctions the woman, she’s generally a real piece of work. Sad, but true. The man gets hammered in the courts more often than not.

That she left the 2nd husband 1 DAY after the college loans were paid off only amplifies questions about character.

      • Nukeman60

Not only amplifies them, but seals the deal, as far as I’m concerned.

      • w8n4snow

And the Girls Scouts gave her an award.

        • Darrell Griffin

Which is why my daughter won’t be continuing with the Brownies after this year.

  • proudhispanicconservative

No surprise a souless animal like this that puts such a low price on life is divorced and on drugs. That emptiness is hard to fill when you are a harborer of death of innocent little human beings also known as babies. I hope that texans are smarter then this witch and not elect her.

    Don’t trust erickson.

  • Chip70

“The right scoop” has NO credibility. Printing this article, before doing any of its own “”fact checking””… It’s TREASON, ;-)

    • Nukeman60

Thanks, Biden. Go back to bed now (after firing your shotgun into the air twice, off your balcony).

    • w8n4snow

Family courts 99.999% of the time side with the mother. The court awarded custody to the father, Ms. Davis to pay child support. She’s a real treat this one.

    • Tim Jaggers

Seriously, Treason? Treason is defined as giving aid and comfort to the enemy. How is this helping Al Qaeda? the Chinese? Russia? The truth is that liberals/socialist/progressives are the true enemies of America and all people who believe in liberty. It is those to promote and defend Wendy Davis who that the ones committing treason.

  • Conniption Fitz

If this was a RESTRAINING ORDER issued by a Judge that Wendy Davis could not use drugs or alcohol 24h before contact with the children, it certainly was NOT merely standard boilerplate.

  • Yazz55

Seems more like standard boiler-plate qualification credentials to be a Democrat candidate.

LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE !… The DOJ is looking into the “LIES” told by Wendy’s supporters!

In a recent development US Attorney Yarbrough of the New Mexico Office opened a criminal investigation into the Bexar County Tx corruption and has been provided with proof that Bexar County DA Susan Reed, former city attorney Michael Bernard ( brother of White House Social Secretary Jeremy Bernard) , police chief William
McManus , Mayor Julian Castro ( former “Obama For America” campaign
co-chairman) and others are at the center of a criminal conspiracy to cover up long term public/police corruption , bond fraud, grant fraud, theft of public funds, contract fraud, “fraud upon the court” , HUD fraud : hl-10-0465 and other criminal activity while they target innocent law- enforcement officers and public employees for retaliation in an effort to silence them.

Former Texas Ranger Hank Whitman is named for his part in providing false testimony under oath and for publishing fraudulent official
reports to help conceal the criminal activity. FBI agent D. True Brown has been reported for his part in publishing fraudulent documents stating that the criminal activity was investigated in three separate instances knowing the information to be untrue. Supervisors at the local FBI Office, US Attorney Office and DPS Office are named for their part in helping to conceal the criminal activity. US Attorney Yarbrough has documentation and recordings showing how cases are fixed with Judges, DA Reed’s Office, SAPD, BCSO, DPS and attorneys conspiring to rig the system for their benefit.

The investigation goes much deeper than just one attorney under investigation as is reported in the media as local US Attorney Pitman and
his office have been cut out of the loop with the New Mexico office of
the U.S. Attorney conducting the criminal investigation and the Securities and Exchange Commission assigned case # FWRO 302036 to an investigation into the long-term bond fraud committed by City of San Antonio auditors / officials who provided misleading statements to bond underwriters, financial institutions and investors while deliberately omitting material information concerning the theft and misuse of tens of millions of dollars.

The unfolding investigation is revealing an ongoing RICO-like criminal conspiracy with ties all the way to the top in corrupt South Texas.

Not to worry. We Texans are not going to vote this person into the office of Governor of our state. We already experienced Ann Richards, pre-Bush, and it was not pretty.

  • Esquire

To everyone saying a TRO (that’s a temporary restraining order since I don’t believe any of you are lawyers) in a divorce in texas is NOT boilerplate obviously has NO idea what you’re talking about and has never gone through a Texas divorce and actually read your papers.

Any divorce filed with kids involved includes all of this until the first hearing, when the judge decides what is and is not needed.

I don’t know why I bother, but maybe someone will stop pretending like they have a JD

Source: I’ve been practicing family law in texas for over 9 years.
