Trump took to twitter early this morning to tweet his thoughts about the Dallas Cowboys taking a knee, but also standing for the National Anthem:
Ratings for NFL football are way down except before game starts, when people tune in to see whether or not our country will be disrespected!

The booing at the NFL football game last night, when the entire Dallas team dropped to its knees, was loudest I have ever heard. Great anger

He doesn’t seem too happy that they took a knee. But he does like that everyone stood for the national anthem:
But while Dallas dropped to its knees as a team, they all stood up for our National Anthem. Big progress being made-we all love our country!

Of course he adds this a little later:
The NFL has all sorts of rules and regulations. The only way out for them is to set a rule that you can't kneel during our National Anthem!

I’m not so sure I think players should be forced to stand for the national anthem. That sounds a bit fascist to me.
Players should have the right to take a knee just as football fans have a right to stop watching NFL games. Then in a few years we’ll see just where these player’s priorities are when the big TV money takes a hit and the stadiums are only half empty on a regular basis.
