‘VERY CLOSE’ to presidential announcement…maybe even THIS WEEK!

There are several titles I could have gone with for this article, especially given his analysis of the ‘unprecedented’ snub Obama got from Saudi Arabia and three other Gulf states. But given how close John Bolton says he is to a presidential announcement – ‘very close’ he says twice – I figured that had to be it.

John Bolton told WMAL this morning that he’s so close to making an announcement on whether he will run for president that it could even be this week:

“I am very close to an announcement, very close to an announcement. We’ll see what it turns out to be…I wouldn’t be surprised if we had an announcement, really, in the very, very near future.”

One of the hosts interrupted and asked “would you say this week?” Bolton responded:

“That’s possible, this week.”

That part of the interview begins at 3:45 in the clip below. But if you listen to just that, you won’t get to hear who he says is America’s strongest ally in the Middle East or how ‘unprecedented’ this Gulf snub was for an American president.
