Anderson Cooper spent a substantial amount of time discussing Kermit Goznell’s house of horrors and toward the end even spent some time on the question of why this hasn’t been covered in the MSM. It’s worth noting that one of his guests was David Altrogge, the write and director of the documentary 3801 Lancaster.

  • celestiallady

Well that will be seen by a few people! Bout time.

They were dragged by the hair (and shamed) to report on this.  Let’s get real.  However, it goes to show, that being “loud” works.

  • mike3e4r7

Credit where credit is do.  Anderson Cooper is no conservative but at least he was intellectually honest enough to give a substantive report on the facts of this case.  More than can be said for ABC, CBS or NBC.  Jeff Toobin is a jackass, insisting there’s no political motivation behind the scant coverage of this story.  That tells you all you need to know about him.  Of course it’s political.  If all the pro-choice voters out there actually had an opportunity to hear another side to this issue, maybe some begin rethinking their positionis, and of course the state run media can’t have that.  Being part of the state-run media complex, Toobin was not about to admit to the truth.

It’s about time. Well, better late than never. And, unfortunately, for much of the mainstream media, it’s never.

State agencies will never do “their job” (pardon me while I puke)…abortion mills are NOT regulated. The murder of these children has gone un-answered, un-challenged and upheld by the likes of this man reporting. Read any article about abortion rights being diminished and read the putrid responses to the very idea.
This man is NOT a doctor, he is a MURDERER. A man cold, dead and hell bound.

There is nothing on earth as vile, hateful, filthy, and from the very pit of hell itself as abortion on demand. Anyone who would support it, participate in it without the level of repentance that makes the Heart of God swoon, lives on the same plain as satan.

        • PhillyCon

badbadlibs PhillyCon Exactly.  Just makes my skin crawl.  It’s evil personified, and the fiery one, I am sure, is very pleased with the abortionist.

It’s the “firey one’s” idea. he has a willing human helper in this vile man. I remember tiller the killer saying he would gladly go to hell if that’s what it meant to have the ability to continue to perform late term abortions. Well, he sure got his wish.

I have very little use for Anderson Cooper but for this story alone he has my respect for having the courage to air it. I hope that it snowballs and everyone else is shamed into getting this story out.

    • patriot077

Classic_Brian I had high hopes for his report on this, but since he read that grand jury report and still spin the story as he did, I lost respect for him.

In America: Every 22 Seconds, A Baby Dies From Abortion. That’s 1.4 million babies each year, 4,000 each day. 43% of all women who have abortions will have 2 or more. Half of all abortions are preformed on women who chose to use abortion as their only means of birth control. Parents that choose Abortion should have to be sterilized so that they can’t ever have children…taking a life should be a big deal and should not come without consequences

  • WordsFailMe

Black culture is exceeded only by muslim fascism in it’s ability to lie to itself. The difference is that the arrogant, hysterical rmuslim knows that he is lying or perpetuating the lie. Case in point–The speakers claim that abortion is the greatest cause of black death in this country. That’s either a lie or the average 2nd grade level understanding of math. Their are almost twice as many m*****f*****s and b******s than there are abortions. DO these immature, irresponsible slobs have no part in baby butchery?Abortion clinics don’t kill black babies; black women do.  Maybe they know something we don’t.
These black women pose themselves as victims when each of them went to that clinic knowing that they could buy baby murder on the cheap. Know they avert their eyes, hide their disgusting faces as if they were some how victimized. SO here we have the black women victims being victimized by a doctor who himself got his position because he was a victim? Scream racism now you stupid slobs! The victimized are now being victimized by victims. Is there no bottom to this black cultural bullshit? When will we see a black woman, with balls, stand up and say, “I did it. I screwed up. I can’t blame anybody but myself.” The whole culture, blythely flushing it’s future down the toilet, at a discount.
I was coming back from the post office today where I mailed a $5300 check to Gov. Jerry Brown when I saw a nicely attired, young black women push her baby on a new stroller on the sidewalk in front of People’s Park on Grove Ave.  I wondered,”I wouldn’t have let my young wife go walking alone by the PeoPark at 6 pm on a Friday. I wonder what her husband would say, I mean, unless she’s just somebody’s bitch.”
These are proud people. I wonder if they think that no one is watching?

  • bahamianhoosier

Is it bad that after hearing these acts of pure unadulterated EVIL that I feel no sympathy for any workers, patient, injured patient whether by uterus punctures or infections, or even the 40-something year old lady?? I think they ALL got off easy for the evil they have done to these truly, and only, innocent souls that God chose to bless them with. If there are no confessions and repentance I hold no shadow of a doubt God will deal harshly and judiciously with all of these harbor’s of malice and death!! Severed spinal cords?? Slit throats on toilets?? Adolf would enjoy hearing these stories!! And the fact that the mainstream Americans choose to ignore this is a black and permanent stain on our Christian-Judea founding!

    • RebeccaLeighRandolph

bahamianhoosier you made the same argument I see all the time and every time there is the same point missing…..these women didn’t conceive through Immaculate Conception!! some low-life male is living his life free of blame or condemnation and very well could have impregnated other women for all we know

        RebeccaLeighRandolph bahamianhoosier
I agree. The only thing I would bring up in your otherwise well made point, is the fact the father has no say whatsoever if the mother decides to murder their son or daughter. I know of men who would have gladly raised their child and begged the mothers to not abort. So sad.

  • SurfinCowboy

Oops – ran out of editing time. My bad. Here is the full comment:

I note that Anderson stutters out the fact that the “political reasons” for not inspecting was pro-abortion women’s groups that pressed the government agencies. He chose to go the “government failed – it needs to be funded” way, instead of, “gee, these pro-abortion groups aided in this happening.”
They have spun the story to be about the government, not the horrors of abortion or the damage that these pro-abortion groups that “empower” women assisted in. Could have had representatives from these groups defend themselves on air – nah – that would hurt “the cause”.
Glad I learned that it was a business decision and they are not political (/sarc). I will keep that in mind as I listen to all the stories that just happen to hurt conservatives and cast liberals in a better light are just “business” decisions. At least this “David” fellow rubbed it in their faces.
    Stay classy CNN.

  • CalCoolidge

    Uh-oh!  Anyone else hear it?
Two minutes in.  Cooper said it was a seven-and-a-half-month old baby.  Didn’t he mean to say fetus of seven-and-a-half-month gestation?
Hey Cooper, they are not born at conception, are they?  Careful boy.  You might lose your press pass.
And what’s the big deal?  Didn’t Obama vote to keep these kinds of practice when he was a state Senator?  And at least we kept them out of the back alleys.

  • DawgfanInFL

Again this is nothing more than a crime against humanity. Fail on the part of the state for not doing their job. Absolute fail on the media’s role in the actual news reporting. If they didn’t include some kind of slant, than they’d look like hypocrites. Look they think any women should be able to kill their baby at anytime. Guess they are standing up for the mothers who don’t know who their baby’s daddy is. It’s difficult to feel sorry for the people who’s intention was to murder their baby in the first place. The only victims are the babies who never had a voice in the matter. This is depraved.

  • 3d81

Had Piers covered this story yet? He cares and stuff you know. 7 dead children with guns etc etc

    • DawgfanInFL

Funny, now you mention it, I’ve never heard about the murder rate in England due to abortions. Excellent point, one worth following up on.

      • marky_d

DawgfanInFL I can help you there, pre-birth homicide is running at around 200k per year in the UK. Roughly the same figure as our net immigration. Or to put it another way, here in the UK we murder 200k of our own every year, 400k get the hell out of the country and this total 600k is replaced by 600k migrants, some of whom hate our way of life, our culture, our customs and some will go on to carry bombs onto the London underground or form gangs to rape British teenagers.

        • badbadlibs

marky_d DawgfanInFL Sounds like the typical out come of socialist agendas being lived out.
          What a pity.

        • DawgfanInFL

That’s a true shame. I try to read as much as I can, been at least to the daily mail and have noticed all the teenagers who have become victims. Whatever ended up happening with the group who was prostituting the teenagers to their “members” so to speak.? I know they were torturing those girls and would threaten them with killing them every chance that got. Some of the press tried to describe the girls as run-aways or problematic. Still doesn’t mean they are disposable. God bless and thank you for a wealth of information!

        • marky_d

DawgfanInFL Oh the ones that were branding the girls to mark them as property? I believe they all got ”heavy” sentences. Probably a couple of years each…
To be honest, it’s just the tip of the iceberg, the police, the lsm and politicians have been hiding the truth and actively prosecuting those that speak out against it for years. There has only been the arrests to date because it was too widespread to hide.

        Please come help at Gretawire.com!!

        • colliemum

lyrical DawgfanInFL It is dead easy, because I can do it, LOL! You sing up for an account at twitter.com, sort out your name/av etc.
Your tweets need to be addressed either to another ‘tweep’, that’s a person, by prefacing it with ‘@’ – you’ll find those addresses next to the twitter name. Mine is @_colliemum_
Or you look out for a trending hashtag: # followed by an expression, so when you tweet with that, it’ll go to that group of tweets. For example #gosnell
Then you look for people to follow, so you get their tweets. Like RightScoop, LOL. People will follow you back, so you get more and more tweets, and all your tweets will go to your followers, meaning you don’t need to use a personal address.
I hope I haven’t totally confused you now!
Btw, if you look up twitchy.com, they have a great aggregate of tweets to particular issues, and you can follow those you like directly from their site.
Be warned – twitter is highly addictive! But you also get to see loads of nice piccies of cats and dogs!

Good segment, I despise Toobin so I had to clench my teeth through his part, but well done Anderson.

  • Proudhispanicconservative

Raise your hand if you feel bad for any of the mothers in this segment?………. No body?….. I thought so, as far as I am concerned the mothers in this segment should be charged. I feel fine desiring the death of this monster, all his workers, and the mothers that went there to have their babies killed. This story just breaks my heart, but not an ounce of pity towards the woman that were done wrong by this evil SOB.

    • patriot077

Proudhispanicconservative  I do for the young chubby one in the blue top as the full documentary reveals that she was uncomfortable with what she saw on arrival and before the “procedure” began but was already anchored to the bed she told them she couldn’t do it. They would not let her leave. Can’t let anyone out on the street who hadn’t actively participated, now could they?
She, I suspect, punishes herself daily as she is now unable to conceive though she would like her daughter to have a brother or sister.
There are probably a lot of women with stories similar to hers who changed their minds at the last minute. In a legal setting, they would be allowed to continue their pregnancies.

      • Proudhispanicconservative

Sorry I didnt watch the documentary, but nothing that happened to these women will make me feel pity towards them, whatever happened to them would not have happened if they hadnt made the decision to go ahead and execute their babies in the first place.

        • patriot077

Proudhispanicconservative I appreciate your opinion but I also wonder just how deeply embedded this mentality is in that community. Without a true moral compass, and if surrounded by others who do it, it would be a lot easier to ignore an inner voice.  I thank God that I was not raised in such a time or place.

    • badbadlibs

Proudhispanicconservative  I’ve said it often, monsters like this pos wouldn’t have a “practice” if the mothers did not walk their very own sons and daughters into the killing fields.

  • BarbofPA

We must very publicly thank Anderson Cooper for reporting this ugly truth what goes on inside an abortion clinic/

  • StefOfhfs

Hi.  Would you mind correcting your title and your report please?  It’s Gosnell with an S, not a Z.  Thanks, much appreciated!

  • Colonel Neville

For quite a while, Anderson Cooper has appeared to be gradually leaving the left liberal mainstream media and instead becoming a journalist. Gosnell and his Obama pal ilk of the freak$ at eugenicist abortion loving Planned Parenthood, are truly evil and nihilist uber-criminals. No, really. Colonel Neville.

  • Colonel Neville

If females are allegedly more “caring”, “sensitive” and more “in touch with their emotions” than males, how come they have destroyed the lives of over FIFTY MILLION of THEIR OWN BABIES AND WITHIN THEIR OWN BODIES in the U.S since 1973? No, really. Colonel Neville.

  • Colonel Neville

Tooobin spoils his previous comments when he barefaced lies about why the left liberal MSM which includes himself, has not covered Gosnell and HE KNOWS IT. Instead he blames conservatives who wait for it…HAVE COVERED THIS STORY for months already. No, really. Colonel Neville,.

  • Matt2Matt

Cooper occasionally can be dragged kicking and screaming (and probably pulling hair) into covering a story not helpful top the death cult also known as the democrat party, but he’ll make amends, believe me.

  • colliemum

The meejah-man (already forgotten his name) who said the MSM didn’t cover it because it’s a ‘business decision’, they write about what they think interests people has dropped the mask behind which the MSM are hiding.
He doesn’t even notice how vile it is to say reporting or not on such horror is a business decision. But when he says that they don’t think it’ll interest people he shows quite clearly that he, and the MSM are no longer reporting facts and what happens – they report what they think we peasants need to know.
So we get reams of paper printed about Newton, we get hours of TV, we get the POS still going on about the parents – because it has to interest us since it supports the POS agenda.
Murdered babies in an abortion clinic – no, can’t have that, people may want to actually talk about abortions, the horror!
It is sickening to think that had a white man or woman murdered babies, especially black ones, in a non-abortion setting, the MSM would’ve been reporting wall-to-wall, 24/7.
It is the fact that this is about abortions which has made the MSM  – left-wing as they are – to be so silent. They are even afraid of looking into the scandal that this has been going on for so many years, in spite of complaints, and no authority intervened.
The black racism-mongers are of course also quiet about this, because for them, the inconvenient fact is that it was not only one of their own who did this, but that most of the women going there were also black. As good socialists, they must welcome free abortions, but thus cannot say a word about the racial genocide going on, perpetrated by their own on their own.
Yes, it is time to talk about abortions, especially since everybody can now get free contraceptive pills, paid for by everybody else, men included, thanks to O’care. But that debate will not be had because it goes against one holy pillar of the progs: ‘freedom’ to do with one’s body as one likes.
They will pay the price – if not here, then at the Last Judgment.

colliemum You covered it all….well said

      • colliemum

notsofastthere  Thaks – I am trying very hard to rein in my anger at the “elites” in the meejah, administrations, academe, schools and Planned Parenthood (what a criminal misleader that name is!) who facilitate this horror.
As has been pointed out before – there is Dr Ben Carson, who saved children’s lives and who is vilified by the progs, and there is this ‘doctor’, of the same race, who commits unspeakable murder on children and the left keeps quiet, because in their books, murdering children in the name of abortion is ok, whereas saving them in the name of God is a sin.
God forgive me my anger and hate, and give me the strength to look at the victims only.

On this subject I think about what the Emporer said to Skywalker when Luke was about to grab his light saber and kill him. ” Your anger gives you focus.” Well, I agree with him on that one. Use that anger and focus it on these vile left wingers otherwise known as baby butchers.

        • badbadlibs

          colliemum notsofastthere
If you didn’t have anger and didn’t hate the sin then you would be one of them.

        • colliemum

ryanomaniac “Baby butchers” – now that is an expression we all can now use to label the progs with, from the top – that’sBHO who voted for this twice, IIRC, as Illinois senator) – all the way down, taking in the talking heads who haven’t been talking about this, and had to be shamed into doing so.
(Personally, I think they’ll weasel out.)
Yes, call them baby butchers to their faces, because that’s what they are, not by commission but by complicity.
After all, we told the Germans in 1945 that ‘I didn’t personally do it, I didn’t know, I was only following orders” was not a valid defence in face of the Holocaust.

Anderson asks “how can this have gone on for so long…….” He blames the government, but not the News Media.
What a guy! I will give him credit for this report though. It’s About time.

  • EBL

I appreciate Anderson Cooper focusing on this story, but I understand why the mainstream media was slow to do so.  They don’t feel comfortable talking about issues of faith.
And ultimately this is about <a href=”http://evilbloggerlady.blogspot.com/2013/04/amanda-marcotte-and-legacy-of-dr-kermit.html”>bringing back “old time” religious values!</a>

  • patriot077
  • BearNJ

I give Cooper credit for at least covering this story. As it has been said on this thread the MSM chooses the stories we the people want to hear. Its not journalism anymore with the MSM. To the MSM we want to hear about the slained Newtown babies by a murderer with a rifle. We don’t want to hear about the slain babies by a vile sick abortionist who engages in infanticide. It’s pathetic.

  • 57thunderbird

I have always referred to abortion as the slaughter of the innocents, and this case only serves to prove how right I was!

Notice the slieght of hand from Jeffrey Toobin as he attempts to change the issue from one about life to an issue about race.  You know – if we had ‘safe’, inexpensive abortions for all, this wouldn’t have happened and because we don’t, it discriminates against minorities, and of course conservatives don’t care about minorities, they’re really the ones responsible.  If you’re having trouble following that line of logic, there’s nothing wrong with you.  Conservatives are the ones who have been outraged by this story in which the majority of victims were black (what a shocker!).  If the leftwing media  really cared about the large percentage of minority victims in this case, they would have jumped on this case long ago.
Toobin trots out this well worn and tiresome racial narrative because the facts of the case don’t help his agenda.  Implying that conservatives are racist, on the other hand, can still be effective at distracting a substantial portioin of the populace from examining the real issue at hand.  It’s like their minds snap shut – “oh, this is all caused by racism.  It’s the fault of white conservatives, and I don’t need to think about it anymore.”

    • badbadlibs

      mike3e4r7 Fantastic post, Mike!
The left is oblivious to truth.

      • mike3e4r7

        Thanks!

  • MiltonBassHayek

The mothers should also be sent to prison. Murdering wenches!

    • badbadlibs

MiltonBassHayek I agree. This murderous demon, posing as a human being wouldn’t have a practice if these mothers didn’t walk their children into the killing fields.

      • MiltonBassHayek

        badbadlibs MiltonBassHayek You nailed it!

  • 57thunderbird

This needs to be plastered across all the news media, and all social media! This is a good case to push the pro-life agenda!

    • MiltonBassHayek

57thunderbird Unfortunately, it was 90% about race and feeling sorry for the murderer. If these tramps only care about money and their careers, why cant families who don’t believe in murdering babies, who want to adopt them, be able to pay these courtesans to give these children a good life?

      • 57thunderbird

MiltonBassHayek 57thunderbird There is no shortage of parents that would like to adopt infants, and would be more than happy to pay! This entire subject and story sickens me beyond description.

        • MiltonBassHayek

57thunderbird MiltonBassHayek If you can murder for a fee and nobody cares, why cant private citizens negotiate prices with these “ladies” for their children. It seems that the filthy, despicable government only cares, because they want their cut. A filthy government that condones this nonsense isn’t going to legislate morality to me.

  • JamesJSpicer

So when govt workers dont do their job what do you do? If they are union you can fire them, do you then tax the people more and hire even MORE useless workers? Or from a different perspective, do you put more regulations in or less? Obviously the regulations in place should have been enough but they obviously didnt prevent this kind of thing. The pro abortiionists NOT prochoicers cause those two are different folks with similar views would say this would be the exact kind of thing to go on if they further restricted abortions, but, abortions were legal all this time, there was no real law against them other than late term what is their answer? To be able to abort babies up to 36 weeks? Its so funny that the same folks that seem to want unrestricted abortions want to regulate everything else.

    • MiltonBassHayek

JamesJSpicer Guarantee there will be a new department spawned from this. The Department of Assurance of Cleanliness of Abortion Clinics for Minorities Who Murder, or something.

      • badbadlibs

        MiltonBassHayek JamesJSpicer
And even then it wouldn’t get regulated. Abortion mills never have and never will be under the same scrutiny an animal shelter has to live under.

        • colliemum

          badbadlibs MiltonBassHayek JamesJSpicer
Yes – and some nice fluffy animal lovers like PETA then go and kill the surplus dogs anyway. For the left, the progs, compassion is a concept they do not understand.

          colliemum badbadlibs MiltonBassHayek JamesJSpicer
That is the honest to goodness truth! They have something seriously wrong with their brains.

        • MiltonBassHayek

badbadlibs MiltonBassHayek JamesJSpicer Too bad babies aren’t Baby Seals, Bald Eagles or Polar Bears. We would then have manufactured compassion for them.

        • MiltonBassHayek

badbadlibs colliemum MiltonBassHayek JamesJSpicer I have a deep hatred for government, I’ve decided. I also have zero compassion for these Nazi, baby-killing, crying, murdering “mothers.”

      • comoesta3

MiltonBassHayek JamesJSpicer “The Department of Assurance of Cleanliness of Abortion Clinics for Minorities Who Murder, or something.”
The politicians would vote for it because it would expand government.  Would it do any good?  I doubt it.

        • MiltonBassHayek

comoesta3 MiltonBassHayek JamesJSpicer No, like anything the government creates, it will be a failure and provide the exact opposite service.

    • patriot077

JamesJSpicer Kirsten Powers pointed out in her USA Today article, the hyprocracy of controlling every aspect of our lives but ignoring this

  • mike3e4r7

The left won’t touch this story with a ten foot pole.  It scares the bejeezus out of them because even if you’ were pro-choice, this is the one story that might start to make you have second thoughts.  I mean, we’re really talking about infanticide here – babies that are no longer in the womb and are breathing on their own.  The left knows there is no way they can defend that, and once people become aware of this and outraged, then it becomes a slippery slope (i.e. what about late term abortions?  How different are they really from infanticide?)  Best to keep people in the dark so they don’t have to wrestle with such moral dilemas.
“Don’t concern yourself – We’ll do the thinking for you”       –  Motto of the state-run media

    • MiltonBassHayek

mike3e4r7 This story makes me wish I knew an inmate, who is surgical with scissors, in the same prison with Goznell. I would send that inmate an urgent message.

      • badbadlibs

        MiltonBassHayek mike3e4r7
This story makes me wish every pro abort/democrat voter would be made to visit this hell hole daily….until the day abortion on demand is once again considered murder of the innocent…by law.

        • MiltonBassHayek

badbadlibs MiltonBassHayek mike3e4r7 I agree, fully. A country that allows this stuff to happen has no respect for human life. Morals is a personal, family responsibility. Government throughout history supports these activities.

        • lonestar1

badbadlibs MiltonBassHayek mike3e4r7 They should be forced to listen to the testimony and view every picture available.  I think this would change the minds of many of the most pro-abortion people.

      • comoesta3

MiltonBassHayek mike3e4r7 Inmates do have a code of ethics.  They don’t take kindly to anyone who harms children.  A man like Goznell would be in danger, for sure.

          comoesta3 MiltonBassHayek mike3e4r7 Good.

        • comoesta3

        • MiltonBassHayek

comoesta3 MiltonBassHayek mike3e4r7 Murderous Marxists, by definition, don’t rationalize. I know it’s bad, but I let my kids watch this crap, so when they get older, if they support this crap, I can disown them and not feel bad about it.

        • patriot077

MiltonBassHayek comoesta3 mike3e4r7 even when they don’t come out “limp and …. dead”.

        • pajamakat

comoesta3 MiltonBassHayek mike3e4r7  Abortion is bad enough at any time. But can anyone explain to me why these women waited until the very last minute when the baby is practically ready to be born?? These women didn’t know that they didn’t want their baby months and months before going full term ? All this pain had to be inflicted on these helpless little human beings ?? I just don’t understand this. .

        • MiltonBassHayek

pajamakat comoesta3 MiltonBassHayek mike3e4r7 They should have realized that they get much more welfare for having children. Silly rabbits!!

        • MiltonBassHayek

        • patriot077

pajamakat comoesta3 MiltonBassHayek mike3e4r7 That’s something I’ve thought about that too and I can’t come up with anything other than being in denial – or hoping their baby daddies would come back. At that point it seems like you would be ready to give it birth and let it be adopted. If you had a moral compass.

        • MiltonBassHayek

You have a soul; that’s why you don’t understand this. Don’t try to understand the minds of lesser animals.

        • MiltonBassHayek

        • lonestar1

comoesta3 MiltonBassHayek mike3e4r7 They can’t, which is why they are trying hard not to cover it at all.  I don’ get Melissa Harris-Perry. She says children don’t belong to the parents, but the community.  If this is so, why is she not speaking out about the murder of community babies?

    • nosilasunny

Yes because it takes away their argument that it’s not a human. They say fetuses feel no pain but these testimonies show just the opposite. These are babies who are being grotesquely and callously murdered for no other reason than existing, who witnesses have heard scream with pain while being savagely butchered.

    • SheerPolitics

mike3e4r7They can’t touch this. You have a black doctor treating poor black women ridding society of their progeny. Planned parenthood was started as a eugenic program to rid the country of the poor and ‘idiot’ classes that would only put a drain on society. Of course Margaret Sanger’s view, that included Catholics, Jews and minorities. http://www.blackgenocide.org/sanger.html
Goznell was carrying out Sanger’s work.

  • njmom

How bad is it when someone like Anderson Cooper on CNN is questioning the MSM’s failure to report this story? Is it because the Dr. is black or because it messes with their abortion agenda or is it because as a black man he had a clean waiting room for “white” women only? Read that yesterday, but whatever the reason the MSM has now sunk to an even lower level than where they were.

    • patriot077

njmom My personal opinion is that the silence is driven by the White House because of 0’s votes against babies born alive when he was state senator in Illinois. He voted agains protecting them 4 times. How many votes could that cost him if the general public became aware of it? Among rich, poor, black, white or latino, this could make his rating plummet.

      • pajamakat

patriot077 njmom Doesn’t matter if his ratings plummet now. We are stuck with him. He just came on the TV with that chin sticking out. God, I can’t stomach him. When I see those people behind him clapping I feel like slapping them out of their fantasyland.

Why has the liberal media been silent, maybe they were just caught with their pants down again. What can they say? What kind of outrage can they lay claim to. This is their worst nightmare come. Not that babies are being murdered, but that they helped to lay the groundwork for this to have happened. Pro-choice – hoisted on their own petard.

    • OneThinDime

DawgfanInFL What is Gosnell’s connection to Obama or Holder?  Donor? Classmate somewhere?

  • boats48

In response to Toobin; Kirsten Powers  is hardly a conservative. Yes she provides commentary on Fox News, but she also writes for the Daily Beast & USA Today. Sorry, dipstick, you can’t brush this one off to partisan politics.

Dr Kermit Goznell seems to be single handedly running his own Democrat War on Women. When the jury returns a verdict, America will see, from, that verdict, precisely where the national sentiment rests on this travesty. And to think that the taxpayers of the US funded this.

Politics in Philly has been Democrat, do you understand how this went on for years now. Democrats tend to be pro death, planned parenthood supporters.Time to go after the mayors, governors, PA AG etc that let this continue, they are just as culpable. A very full investigation needs to be initiated by our Republican Governor Corbett.

    (Snip)
Several local news outlets were there, scattered about the mostly empty
courtroom. The Philadelphia Inquirer had a reporter there. NBC10 sent a
blogger for its website. The AP stopped in, but the reporter told me
that resources are thin and trial coverage is not gavel to gavel.
An hour into afternoon testimony, Jon Hurdle of The New York Times showed up, and a few minutes later was gone.
The lack of daily media coverage for the most sensational abortion trial
angers pro-lifers who said there is a “media black out” on the Gosnell
    trial.
I asked one of the court staff why so few are interested.
“If you’re pro-choice, do you really want anybody to know about this,”
he said, motioning to the filthy medical equipment set up in the
    courtroom.
It’s a good point. As saturation coverage of the Sandy Hook elementary
school coverage has caused Americans to reconsider the limits of the
Second Amendment, saturation coverage of Kermit Gosnell’s clinic would
likely cause the same reconsideration of abortion rights.
    The details are that horrifying.

    • nosilasunny

They made sure they had enough resources for gravel to gavel coverage of O.J. Simpson and Casey Anthony. That is a cop out excuse. They just don’t want to cover it because it shines light of truth on their fundamental beliefs and shows abortion for what it really is, barbaric murder.

      • OneThinDime

nosilasunny And for Michael Jackson’s pedo trial, and the trial of his doctor.

  • Godisright

…and if these babies were under 24 weeks all would be fine ? Murder and outrage begins at week 24? This is why the MSM will not cover it – abortion is murder, period !

    • Stoptheusurper

Godisright  the State Run Media will not cover the murders because Gosnell represents the same views of Barack H. Obama and his wife.  They both fought with all their might attempting to prevent the Born Alive Infant Protection Act from becoming law in Illinois.  Gosnell and the Obama’s think alike, they are both evil incarnate and the media does not want you to know how radical and evil the Obama’s are.  They are killer at heart.  Remember that these are the folks who more than likely had something to do with the murders of Donald Young and Larry Bland, two good homosexual friends of Barack and members of Wright’s church.  Young was the choir director and part of Obama’s campaign investigating the Larry Sinclair allegations of drug abuse when he was murdered.  The murders are still unsolved.  It may be time for a beer summit for the families of Young and Bland so that Obama can push the Chicago Police Department in order to find the murders.

  • Keatsian

Clinics like Gosnell’s were commonplace before Roe vs. Wade, and many
times, worse. In countries that have banned abortion, nearly every one
has seen a drastic increase in the amount of abortions – with clinics
like these popping up in back rooms (the couple of exceptions saw
drastic increases in abortions in neighboring countries). The reason
that Gosnell’s clinic was able to exist was because of exactly what you
wrote – the two sides are yelling past each other. The pro-life
politicians in PA have not been able to win their argument, so instead,
they have put exceeding strange building requirements / regulations on
the clinics – in some cases down to the size of doorways and closets.
The pro-life politicians then change these regulations often enough that
these clinics would need to spend millions of dollars every few years
just to keep up. Their goal was to drain these clinics of money. So,
then when the pro-choice politicians get in office and don’t have enough
votes to change the strange regulations, they decide to defund or limit
inspections – otherwise every clinic would have to shut down. Because
of this, it created an environment where because the two sides were
locked in a political battle of tit-for-tat, a monster was able to
practice virtually unchecked. Both pro-choice and pro-life politicians /
voters were at fault here – they are so obsessed with their arguments,
that they would rather win arguments and political debates, then to
actually help women and children. And actually, in the process, their
fighting allowed many more women and children to be hurt / killed. — It
won’t be until we tackle the heart of the issue, helping mothers,
education, fixing adoption, etc., until we see progress. Until then, it
reminds me of the story of King Solomon and splitting the baby in half –
both the pro-life and pro-choice movements are so obsessed with
“winning” that they have taken their eyes off of real humanity and
    compassion.

  • BridgetM

Events like what happened in Gosnell’s clinic, allowing babies to die or taking their lives by suffocation or other means after a failed abortion, unfortunately are commonplace in our country.  It happens in hospitals and clinics all throughout the US.  Legal termination of babies blurs ethical lines.  It is a baby if the child is wanted, and a blob of tissue or a “fetus” (which makes the baby sound like an alien), if the baby is unplanned or not wanted.  If the baby happens to survive the attempted termination, the baby is “legally” killed or left to die, many times suffering and alone.
And to say that it is foolishness that the “conservatives” make the argument that our media is pro-choice and chooses not to cover something so horrific, in order to keep abortion legal is also blatantly false.  For the last 2 years, over 500,000 people have marched in the Pro-Life rally in Washington DC, and the media chooses not to cover it.  If the gathering of that many people for ANY reason isn’t news, what is??  I would love to hear justification for that one.

  • bfunk

I just watched Beck’s coverage of this trial from the other night, and the pictures he showed. This guy needs to be aborted. How inhuman.
