TMZ got the video of Ray Rice knocking his fiancee unconscious in the elevator and it’s turned Ray Rice’s world completely upside down…and it darn well should.
Since the video has been released, the Ravens have cut Rice from the team and the NFL has suspended him indefinitely:
TMZ – [Baltimore Ravens] just announced it has terminated Rice’s contract this afternoon … hours after TMZ Sports posted the footage of the Pro Bowl running back attacking Janay Palmer in an elevator back in February.
Rice was in the middle of a 5-year $50 million contract he signed with the Ravens back in 2012.
11:45 AM PT — The NFL has just announced that Rice has been suspended from the league.
A league spokesperson just issued a statement saying, “Roger Goodell has announced that based on new video evidence that became available today he has indefinitely suspended Ray Rice.”
