Dagen McDowell split from the rest of the Trump-lovin’ bunch at Outnumbered and criticized the trade war that President Trump is currently leading us into.

This is actually a great debate about tariffs, and I really have to thank Dagen McDowell and Kennedy for hitting back when Trump’s policies simply don’t make sense according to traditional free trade conservative policies. Dagen even nails the other panelists for their hypocrisy by saying that if Obama had done the same thing, we’d be obliterating him for it.

Fox Business Network host Dagen McDowell said on Friday that conservatives would be “shouting to the high heavens” if former President Obama had implemented massive tariffs the way President Trump has.
McDowell, speaking on Fox News’s “Outnumbered,” said there has been a lack of criticism for Trump over escalating trade conflicts between the U.S. and other countries.
“If President Obama had pulled what we’ve seen in the last six months, we would be shouting to the high heavens, blowing the roof off this building about how Obama was killing the American farmer,” McDowell said.
Trump’s 25 percent tariffs on China went into effect Friday, costing China roughly $34 billion in import duties.
China accused Trump of starting “the biggest trade war in economic history” and its announced plans to immediately respond with retaliatory tariffs on U.S. exports including soybeans, seafood, SUVs and crude oil, according to CNN.
“This is just the beginning,” McDowell said.
One out of every three rows of soybeans grown in this country goes to China, McDowell said.
“It hits heartland, it hits the Trump voter,” she said.
Look, there’s a TON of good things happening because of Trump. You’re an irrational deranged Trump hater if you can’t admit that. BUT, a lot of so-called conservatives are betraying that they never really believed in conservative principles by blindly endorsing Trump’s anti-free trade policies. Dagen McDowell took a big risk by being honest and not just mindlessly towing the line that Fox News is so fond of doing in order to appease Trump – it just doesn’t pay to do that at the Trump state-controlled news channel.
