By Dan Cleary

Here is additional footage from the Occupy UC-Davis incident proving that the protesters received a crystal-clear warning that they would be pepper-sprayed if they didn’t obey orders from the campus police. Still, they refused to obey and so they got exactly what they wanted.

The student at the beginning of the clip even seemed eager to get sprayed: “You’re shooting us specifically? No that’s fine, that’s fine.”

Just like Tiananmen Square, or something. How absurd.

shame on you spoiled brats who wouldn’t know true oppression if it covered you in a burkah or rolled over you in a tank. Be thankfull that’s all you got. Go back home to mom and dad until you grow up.

Yep, go home and have their peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches. I bet the sorry little babies don’t even know the ABCs. Just pullin’ your wing!

I was really hoping to hear the UCD police use the “human Microphone” method.

LEADER: “If you do not remove your a** from the sidewalk…”
CHORUS:”If you do not remove your a** from the sidewalk…”

    Add: “Finger-Twinkling,” all.

What did they expect General Tso’s Chicken and a soda ??

They were fairly warned and even said OK spray us

However, that being said, the cops should have tried to arrest them one by one
    and then spray whomever resisted

The cops looked silly and brutal and could have really hurt somebody

If I were a parent – I would beat the crap out my kid first – then file a law suit

    Both sides acted stupidly

    just sayin’

    • Professor Why

They were actively resisting by linking arms tightly, which would’ve made trying to arrest them one at a time VERY difficult… It also would’ve increased chances of injury to both sides — dislocated fingers, wrists, arms, etc. on the protestors, injured backs and arms from lifting ‘em on the part of the cops… They were given fair warning and chose to be sprayed.

This was a great lesson for the Occutards: Actions have consequences.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_OQI5D66OXO7X2FE4NVCZC7BAMA Joe

I think if they were sprayed them one a time – arrest each one that was sprayed – the chain would have broken

But I’m no expert – I would have brought in a few dogs and then command them to “LIFT THIER LEG” – might be worse than pepper

        • Anonymous

          it doesn’t work that way.
people choose to not believe it but they did the best they could in a bad situation forced upon them.
yank and break an arm…lawsuit…no winning.

Joe, a protest is no time to start handing out Miss Manners awards and demerits. There’s officer safety involved too. Did you not read the incidents where two officers were cut with knives? Where a moron had an AK47 and shot at the White House? When a police officer has to get physical, the only thing he knows for sure is that he may get hurt or killed. He may be crippled for life. He may never see his wife, children, or mother or father again. Do you seriously expect him to be wussy-wussy sweet-and-gentle with someone who puts him in that situation?

Look at it this way: those idiot children got a small part of the practical education their parents should have given them – “If you don’t want to get hurt, don’t defy the police.”

Remember what the kid said? “You’re shooting us specifically? No that’s fine, that’s fine.”

I had occasion, in another country, to talk to parents of a REALLY oppressed minority about raising their kids. One of the things I told them was, “If your children get in the habit of being defiant toward you, they will likely try that with a police officer or (oppressor). What do you think is going to happen then?”

There are times in history, like 1776, when one chooses to fight the authorities. But no sane adult expects to have the authorities be his mommy-substitute when he does. Ditto for anytime you defy the authorities.

        “Actions have consequences.”

That is correct. You can expect the violence being directed at the Police to ratchet up considerably. That should be a great lesson you can talk about at your next teabag meeting. You can call it “Obedience Training for Pathetic Phony Patriots”.

        • Professor Why

Oh, LOOK what we have here… Did you learn how to use your mommy and daddy’s computer and put a nasty little slur on there? Why, yes you did! Who’s the bad cretin! You are! Yes you are! Now go run along and get yourself some cookies and milk while the adults talk…

        Tiananmen* Square, moron.

It’s great analogy, even if you are too stupid to correctly spell it.

In Tiananmen Square, peaceful protests were met with force by an Authoritarian Communist Regime.

        Oh, the irony.

That’s “Miss” moron to you, Smitty. That tripe may work over at Moveon.org with all of your Soros groupies but show a little respect. Oh, the irony, you’re showing just as must respect as the protesters around the world – what with the raping, looting, pillaging, lice, and on and on and on.

Oh, here’s real irony for you, Smitty- Authoritarian protesters were met by peaceful cops who WARNED the protesters what was going to happen. Maybe if you would watch the video, you would learn something and not take your news from 30 second soundbites.

I’d be willing to bet that Rabbi Yitzhak and his “congregants” weren’t filthy, obscene, criminal, destructive, idiots trying to inconvenience everyone and driving small businesses into the red or out of business, interrupting speakers at peaceful conferences, attacking passersby and themselves, terrorizing little children on their way to school, defecating on police cars, in an effort to intimidate the government into giving them goodies that working people were forced to pay for.

Yeah… I agree Danny boy. It doesn’t make it right occupying public parks, defecating and urinating in public and on private property, raping, drug taking, harassing passers by, breaking shop windows, committing acts of lawlessness, making it impossible for businesses to operate in the occupy areas, causing businesses to lose money so the takers can take from the makers. Occupiers taking union money and backing and pretending it’s grass roots… shall I go on.

Yup… you are absolutely correct… it doesn’t make it right. Can’t disagree with you there.

P.S. Danny… talk to old Soviets and defectors to the West… they’ll tell you exactly what’s going on here. They’ll free you from your leftist utopian delusions.

It was never wrong. Try getting the living stuffing kicked out of yourself in a street fight, or getting cut badly, because you were gentle and respectful toward a knothead who to your surprise turned out to be an armed and vicious knothead. Then see how your attitude changes. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. I was lucky – another officer saw it coming, blocked it, and I just got a painless scary lesson.

Full disclosure: I wasn’t a “real” cop. I was only (and briefly) a reserve officer, not “fully sworn”, a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, where you didn’t have to have training or even intelligence. Just strap on the S&W .38, put your hand on The Book and take the oath, and go find out how ignorant you are. A stupid way to do business.

I would hate to be one of those Officers they are in a no win situation. You’re dammed if you do and you’re dammed if you don’t. Those Campus officers gave them a warning gave the protesters a chance to disperse. The cops are under no obligation to back down. The school dean should be punished for not supporting the Chief of Police and the officers sworn to protect the pampered butts and the students.

they smell better with the pepper spray

  • Anonymous

What the video witnesses to, could nearly constitute a legal consent to an official of the law.
Additionally, pepper spray is used in all police organizations that I know of, as a ‘compliance tool’, one of the first, to avoid injury. If someone is actively resisting, pepper spray can be used instead of batons or tasers, to ensure compliance with the least chance of serious or lasting injury. No, pepper spray is not safe; resisting police instructions, direct directions from those authorized to use lethal force in the protection and name of the law, is never ‘safe’.

The police are seriously trying to be gentle, be considerate, and yet maintain the law. These kids are breaking the law. Period. I don’t care if they protest like this, that’s fine, but don’t ask for sympathy; the consequences are known. If they believe in it, they deal with the consequences. That’s what ‘freedom of speech’ has always meant.
‘Obeying the law’ doesn’t mean that you never break any laws, it means that you know and accept the consequences. YOU break the law, YOU get the consequences, not me, not anyone else who didn’t break the law.

I refuse to pay for their protest or stupidity.

    • Anonymous

It’s lucky that using pepper spray is only considered assault when the protesters spray the police and not vice versa.

I have to compliment these officers for handling themselves with great restraint. You had people running at them, grabbing them, screaming in their faces, interfering with their arrests and they just pushed people out of the way. They had every right to arrest any of those other perpetrators.
It made me sick to hear the woman screaming in the background that “These are children.” Really? Children? The same age as the young adults fighting overseas who are really preserving our rights and freedoms? The young soldiers who are dying so these spoiled, over entitled, brats can pretend they are of the same moral equivalency as oppressed Chinese citizens of an oppressive communist regime?
    These occupiers thoroughly disgust me.

Maybe it’s time to start a draft again. Let them try this stuff with Mohammed’s peaceful followers in a land where there are no toilets or toilet paper, no iPads, no fast-food stores, no democratic party or liberal press to make them feel like heroes, no mommy… THAT might create a little wisdom.

Amen brother. Yet, I am sure if there was a draft their mommy and daddy would pull some strings to get them in the national guard or something like that. Then some day they could be president :)

    Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
    Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Oh the humanity!!! What a cruel world….ahh…..

Right when they started spraying them these people act like the police are killing these people. They all knew what was going to happen. The police brought out the pepper spray and said “Hey, we’re going to spray you if you don’t listen to us.” The response they got was an eager “Oh, ok yeah thats fine.” Then these people start crying and screaming. Weak.

To all of you OWS sympathizers…. this is the preferred method to deal with a crowd. they were clearly warned… they clearly wanted the confrontation to include the spraying… these campus policemen did what we pay them for…and until you have tried to arrest or detain someone who is resisting (they were breaking the law) then do not speak about how those poor dears were treated…and oh yeah… this is what a society gets by giving everyone a trophy and making everyone a winner…..
